"Easily drill down and bubble up"
What do you like best about LiquidPlanner?

I like the simplicity of the user interface. My company is starting with 30 users and piloting various features. It's very easy to get people in, using the tool, right away without burdening them with a bunch of unnecessary features. The support that we get with the team is also amazing - Keiko jumps right in with answers to questions and is always willing to train/onboard new team members.

What do you dislike about LiquidPlanner?

This is probably less a commentary on LP and more a commentary on the landscape of work/project portfolio management in general. Development is tracked in JIRA, incidents/problems are tracked in ServiceNow, non-work events like PTO is tracked in Workday, and on and on. To really manage some of the complexities of portfolio management (like resource/capacity planning) means connecting all of these systems in a meaningful way. We are saving this for a few sprints down the road because we want people to just get in and start generating meaningful data for our portfolio management reports. It sounds like there's ways to connect LP to this (Zapier) and support to do so, it's just kind of a lot to think through right now.

What problems is LiquidPlanner solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're currently on sprint 1. The first problem solved is more streamlined portfolio reporting. We have about 60 projects that are key to the goals of our 30-person project-focused part of the organization. We used to track all the updates to these projects in Excel. This was a a mess to keep track of and didn't connect to the day-to-day task management of those projects. Now it does! This allows for great drill-down capabilities.

"Liquid Planner does it all"
What do you like best about LiquidPlanner?

Liquid Planner works great when planning out sprints and estimating out what can be accomplished in a certain time frame. It also works well for maintaining a backlog.

What do you dislike about LiquidPlanner?

I wish it had reminder capability but there isn't anything that I really dislike about Liquid Planner.

What problems is LiquidPlanner solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Liquid Planner as a backlog for all of our planned projects. I then have sprint packages prioritized on top and am able to pull up any items from the backlog projects to create a sprint. I can plan the work in advance. Assign developers and have them provide estimates. This gives me an idea of how the amount of work that can be accomplished. I also have bug folders that I keep track of production bugs and development bugs. The reporting is great - I use the reporting aspect to report capitalization and productivity.

"Highly intuitive time tracking software, ideal for dozens of ongoing projects and clients"
What do you like best about LiquidPlanner?

I like that the product can easily handle 50+ clients, 100+ projects and in our business, 15 employees tracking time simultaneously. They provide any kind of report you'll need, and have support staff on hand at all times to help with any issues.

What do you dislike about LiquidPlanner?

There are small things we can't control still, like the ability to lock timesheets mid-week, but they are always improving so I hope those small things will eventually be worked into their software.

What problems is LiquidPlanner solving and how is that benefiting you?

Managing projects at the same time as tracking time. Adding information through the use of Custom Fields has been a huge benefit.

"Digital Marketing Company Uses Liquid Planner to Assign / Track Work"
What do you like best about LiquidPlanner?

LiquidPlanner is fully integrated with time reporting and task tracking. We use the time tracking to pay our Offshore Philippines team and to invoice our clients.

What do you dislike about LiquidPlanner?

Costs are per seat so that as we grew, our costs went up.

What problems is LiquidPlanner solving and how is that benefiting you?

Very easy to manage our offshore team. This one solution worked much better tan any combination of other products. We have used LiquidPlanner for over 5 years.

"LiquidPlanner is an application for managing projects in a hassle free way."
What do you like best about LiquidPlanner?

LiquidPlanner is an application with many distinct features for its users like Gantt Chart, Dashboard, storage and Task management. We can manage and track our projects, deadlines, schedules and other work related processes. It provides us with a wide number of languages that are English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese and Russian. It helps keeping the flow on work in the direction so that we could focus on our core objectives. It has a minimalist theme and it helps us manage their work related schedules very easily. It is available for Android and iOS. It functions offline as well.

What do you dislike about LiquidPlanner?

Its comparatively more expensive than other applications and is therefore unavailable for new businesses. It is not very user friendly. We cannot communicate through the application and it is hard to learn to use. It is slightly confusing to use. The time tracking option is difficult to find.

What problems is LiquidPlanner solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is very beneficial since it helps the users stay focus on the main activities rather than worrying about the schedules and tracking their works. I usually don't worry about my list of tasks to get back to, because LiquidPlanner has it all sorted out for me but it is more pricey than it competitors and was hard for me to be pro efficient at.

"Highly assertive tool to track and manage the projects in a workflow."
What do you like best about LiquidPlanner?

Liquid Planner has lend a great helping hand in assisting us in our esteemed projects and modified tasks to be completed in a limited timeframe. We can also gain utmost benefits regarding the proficiency of our projects like we can easily track, modify or manage them in the most possible ways. It has this amazing set of tools to overall coordinate the ways we connect and take control of our projects. It also has this time tracking and project supervising features which ensures complete proficiency in the overall work going on. The account can easily be accessed with minimum pricing and premium features. It is quite easy to operate and use in a reliable way.

What do you dislike about LiquidPlanner?

The certain reasons to dislike this tool that project management features are redundant or does not perform the way they are supposed to. It has also been a disaster when we completely want to automate our projects according to the schedules and time tracking features. Things can also get really messy when we have to assign the tasks or have to overview the complete working of the employees. It has also been used in few of our departments which is mainly used to handle medium sized projects with limited outputs.

What problems is LiquidPlanner solving and how is that benefiting you?

Liquid Planner has such an amazing capability to cope with all the project requirements. Like from planning to supervise to completion phase , it has all the required tools for it. A complete set of tool with responsive and user friendly interface also offers assistance in great ways. We can completely rely on this tool and can have full control the way we perform and extract our desired results from the projects. It's a reliable management tool.

"Organized and Straightforward!"
What do you like best about LiquidPlanner?

As a project manager with over 50 different clients with multiple projects, it's difficult to stay organized. We implemented LP about a year ago and it's definitely been a work in progress, but it's made our jobs SO much easier. With LP, we can easily track our project, who's working on what, give deadlines, run reports, and look at everything at once. It's easy to create a delete tasks, prioritize items, and give clients updates on their projects.

What do you dislike about LiquidPlanner?

LiquidPlanner was tricky to get used to--as all new software products are. But, I feel like we've truly gotten the hang of things and now it's the lifeline of our project maintenance.

What problems is LiquidPlanner solving and how is that benefiting you?

It keeps us all organized. Anyone in the company can look at a project and see what the status is (Is it close to being done? Are we currently working on it? etc.) With the amount of clients and different projects we offer, I can't figure out another software we could use that would allow us to track and manage as well as lp does.

"Liquid Planner Review - Project Manager"
What do you like best about LiquidPlanner?

Like so many other project managers, I used MS Project to craft project plans and had become accustomed to the structuring and reconciliation nuances associated with the more traditional Project Planning tool. LiquidPlanner really elevated the functionality of a traditional project planning tool by developing a web-based tool that also integrates with other backend functions associated with project tracking (billing and invoicing from real-time project tracking, etc.). When I moved to a different project and had to revert back to traditional MS Project software, it felt like such a time warp compared to the intuitive GUI in Liquid Planner.

What do you dislike about LiquidPlanner?

The only concerns I had about Liquid Planner centered around the ramp-up time it takes for users (and overall organizational culture) to adapt to using and navigating within the tool, especially how to use and interpret this tool from a portfolio ecosystem management perspective (tracking 50+ projects, etc.). It's just the typical challenges associated with using a centralized tracking tool (changing user and even manager mentalities from a de-centralized [one or few projects] to a broader centralized perspective, in which reporting and consistency in data entry impact analytics for more than just one project. It can pose a bit of an organizational learning curve but nothing that's overly concerning. The only other concern I noted, interestingly enough, is the same selling point: the ease in data entry. The tool is totally user friendly, very quick to navigate and data entry is a breeze. Because of this, however, it can result in problems if the user population and role based permissions are not clearly defined (and more specifically - limited). I did see instances in early phases where multiple users were moving too quickly in the tool, and making drag/drop changes and/or casually re-labeling changes for critical project files - basically too many "on-the-fly" changes without full understanding how these changes impact reporting and tracking, as well as integration with other systems that rely on consistent data inputs in LiquidPlanner for PMO reporting, etc. But again, this can be mitigated if strict role based permissions are put in place very early on, and designating a very small group of users that have permissions to make actual edits in the tool.

What problems is LiquidPlanner solving and how is that benefiting you?

Aside from better reporting and using a web-based tool as opposed to standalone project plan software, the reporting capabilities and integration with billing activities are major gains associated with using LiquidPlanner. Also, the option to use document links and store artifacts and/or approval links in the tool is SO much more efficient than the traditional PM model (project plan is in MS Project, approvals are via email, emails and document artifacts are stored in a repository, etc. etc. - then the reconciliation model is all over the place, requiring multiple tools and sources to complete what should be standard validations). Liquid Planner offers a lot of communication and archive storage/link upload options which dramatically improve efficiency by reducing steps and number of places to go track down historical artifacts.
