Moosend Reviews: 4.7/5 — Highly Rated
Moosend’s incredibly efficient customer support is the primary reason why people love this platform. Their excellent customer support range provides excellent live chat to access a comprehensive knowledge base, as well as video tutorials. Advanced features are available even under the free plan and the platform provides comprehensive reporting that provides geolocation insight as well as heatmap data. Notably, Moosend has a free forever plan that lets users send unlimited campaigns if they have less than 1000 subscribers. Higher tiers offer more robust tools and features as well.

Nice UI and easy to navigate. Support was helpful when needed. Easy to design an email template and import recipients from other sources.
Set up DKIM and SPF as suggested, but the checker still said something was wrong. Had to get support to fix it. Then I sent out my campaign and it ended up in everyone's spam folders anyway. Had a terrible open rate. Canceled my account after that.
An email tool isn't worth any price if the emails don't reach recipients' inboxes.
Email design is very flexible and customer service is quite responsive. Reporting is thorough. Contact management is intuitive and easy to use. I like that contacts can be on multiple lists but only count once for billing purposes. Emails are "archived" allowing you to share the URL if needed.
I am skeptical about deliverability. I know this is not completely in the hands of Moosend and other email marketing providers, but getting to our recipients' inbox is crucial. I once did not receive a sent email and found that my account had mysteriously been marked as "unsubscribed." The SPAM report is not reliable (support has told me this). Since they sold it, there is no longer a free version and now that we pay for it my tolerance for the bugs is ZERO. Moosend is not a US-based business. There is no support on the weekends.
Moosend allows us to professionally communicate with our constituents: students, parents, prospective families, alumni, alumni parents, donors, potential donors, and more. I've used other email marketing services and find Moosend to be the easiest to use for our needs.
Mostly decent interface (except for bugs)
This is ridiculous. This box is marked red until I go *OVER* the character limit. Let's see if it'll submit now. I dislike the patronising support staff and my issues being glossed over or ignored (or worse, blamed on me when they are bugs their end).
Emailing users...
I like how simple it was to set up my account. Their set of features is limited but enough for what we needed.
At some point last year they changed their plans. All their "free plans" were turned into "free trials" and at no moment did Moosend adhere to their own terms of services and notify us about up. What a surprise it was to visit our account after a period without sending any campaigns only to realize our account was blocked until we entered a payment method. We have less than 60 subscribers and send a few campaigns per year - but what stings is the surprise of having our plan changed without any notification. They did that to us and can do it to you.
At this point, I just wanted to send an email campaign.
What I liked best about Moosend was that they used to offer no branding on free accounts. You could send emails and not have to promote the company you were using to do so.
The setup for Moosend was difficult. You had to have more than average knowledge to get it setup to send using your email address. Also, they removed free accounts.
Moosend allows me to market to my existing customers. Generally marketing emails for a very small business may not yield returns, so the cost was prohibitive and not sustainable.
It's easy to sign up, but beware! The negatives outweight the positives.
Moosend is unfortunately, a company with terrible customer service. After a vast subscription campaign, we were puzzled not to receive any subscribers during a three week period. After contacting Moosend, they admitted that they changed the backend, rendering all subscription forms useless if they contained a ? (which we had, 'Do you want to donate?'). Their customer service didn't care; just told me to remove the ? and it would work again, ignoring the fact that we had undergone a massive campaign. No apology on their end at all. One-star service.
As above.
Its has sufficient email functionality..
Customer service wasn't very helpful with an issue i was having.
We were trying to send emails to our outreach list.
Nothing other than the fact they can send emails.
-The rude customer service. -The terrible product. -Their WordPress plugins do not work so it's useless to try and integrate. -No HTML forms. - Terrible refund policy.
I thought it would help grow my business but it only hindered my small business.
Affordable price, friendly design. The application seems easy to navigate, create emails and campaigns. I loved the templates on automation.
Customer service might be challenging. Also, not every staff member can give you good advice. Sometimes, they give you contradictive information, which can lead to stopping or disrupting automation flow, so your precious subscribers won't receive your emails! That happened to me, and they said that their software is not designed to adding emails "as you go". They suggest that I create a whole automation campaign in advance (!) and only then send it to subscribers. Which is rediculous. Despite a friendly and seems easily manageable dashboard, the process of working with the program is complicated and needs time to invest in learning or communicating with staff members, which is not easy if you don't speak "their language." I wasted two months of my time when I finally found out that I cannot have a simple ongoing automation, not mentionning that today Moosend's submission form desappeared from my website!
I saved the difference in price with another automation service, but in the end, I wasted my time.
Moosend is great for small company like ourselves. Greta templates and an easily drag and drop email creation system
It can become a bit more annoying of you want to send recurring emails or have a multistructure footer in all your emails.
We have managed to automate some of our project responses which has massively improved our relationship with volunteers
I did not like Moosend at all. We have had so many issues with it! Honestly, nothing is great!
Our unsubscribe were not working, therefore we kept being reported because people could not unsubscribe correctly.
Sending emails to our viewers. No benefits realized
Product was great until we were hacked and phishing emails were sent to all of our clients. Customer service blamed the only user we have instead of taking accountability for the hack.
Was hacked and customer service provided no assistance. Blamed our single user for leaving their laptop open to Moosend and sharing the password although neither of these occurred.
They did not solve our issue other than placing blame on our single user. Have cancelled the account.
