I love the fact that Peek is always looking to improve their platform and regularly listens to feedback from partners who use it to help improve their service.
With recent updates and added features, the system has become more complex, with room for more technical issues to arise.
Peek has helped us streamline our bookings and (minus the waiver system, which is currently being addressed) helps us spend less time on the phone taking reservations.
Scheduling: When I schedule a guide they get an email and a text and everyone can see who is working and when.
Customer service is on US hours. It would be great if they had EU hours as well.
I can't say it is solving a problem.
The people behind PeekPro care about their clients! They're always quick to help and always follow up to find a solution. In addition, they're comparatively low-cost.
The platform does experience glitches from time to time, which Peek staff are always quick to assist with. We have had some issues, but all of which were resolved.
Allows our small business to integrate with large online OTAs, as well as keep scheduling straight for our small guide team. PeekPro is essential to our growth.
Automation of booking/confirmations easily look up reservations
Text message confirmation is formatted incorrectly. I've contacted Support three or four times and other Peek employees and still the problem persists
Ease of customers to book reservations and see availability
Guest can book easily from our website with widget
Would like a 20% group of 6 or more auto gratuity
We believe people look and book vs look and nothing
It has an excellent visualization, so easy to understand, find bookings, and make changes very quick. The support we have from Peek is great too!
Sadly they can't connect with our system, so I have to update the availability every day, It´s impossible to have this 100% updated because we are selling in other ways all the time, and we have to deny many booking requests from our clients.
Peek help our clients to book easily our activities and it´s a great tool for us to help our clients with daily modifications. We´re getting more sales due to the easy way our clients can book through our website
The interface and easy use. It's simple enough to train others to use and has everything we need together in one place
Peek pro has been force quitting, not pulling up correct dates, and no longer let's you change the amount of people attending the tour upon check in.
Not solving business problems per say, but the benefits are that tour guests can see what's available before reserving or coming in.
Great variety of features that allow us to diversify and think ahead. Our program person is great.
Customer support (outside our program/manager person). Our old system would do a lot of the background work for us. When support says they will send help documents they almost never do and then I am sifting through what does arrive.
Online tour sign-up. It allows us to have set times and for some people to sign up ahead of time. Question at the bottom asked if we were more productive? No, but only because it is such a hassle to make changes and updates, with our limited knowledge and support being very unhelpful.
There's an abundance of features for most any configuration.
Experience with customer support is so-so. Waited over a week for a callback that never came, even the support rep admitted the feature should work as we thought it did. Turns out it doesn't. Email/ticket support takes 24-48 hours. Chat is generally good but most of the time the answer to our questions is no. Feature requests exist but like most companies they work on a most requested basis, which makes getting features like store credit that applied to add ons (instead of just the main product) almost impossible. A way to internally create gift cards would also be nice. Also, they follow a convenience fee price model, so if your business pays part of the fee you end up paying far more than a monthly software, or if you have your customers pay they get charged a lot of extra money for booking online. We dislike this model and would rather pay $100/month flat than a 6% fee (not to mention CC processing fees).
Online activity bookings are convenient for guests and us.
The calendar booking widgets that you can put on your front page are easy to install on the page, and they look good. From a customer purchase standpoint, they raised our ticket sales.
If you have locations in more than one time zone, you're going to have to split them up into different accounts and there's no way to look at all your sales in one place. As a payment processor, they're not as robust as Stripe and if you have to do a return they will make you pay for it with a credit card and even charge you a transaction fee on that return! So, don't use them as a payment processor if you already have a relationship with Stripe. If you are moving to them from a previous ticketing agency, double and triple check the reservations to make sure they are all in there or you are in for a bumpy ride on your first month.
We needed a calendar ticket widget on the front page of our website that could specifically show certain tours based on the booking page people were going to. The variety of purchase widgets and the customizability of them has been good for sales.
Peek's clean interface and compatibility on all devices makes for easy management of the day or week's activities. The calendar view is the backbone of our shop's daily activities. We can see all scheduled bike tours, rentals, and service appointments at a glance, and easily add a new booking for any one when needed.
Reports are not customizable enough to find exactly the information I require at times. One notable example is the inability to pull a report of all "Reseller" emails (going through and doing this manually for 100+ resellers is BRUTAL). Additionally we find that the pages that peek defaults to when opened, "Dashboard" and "Manifest", are all but useless to our business. Not sure why those are the required startup screen for Peek, but our shop runs 85% of the time off the Calendar view and Activities Schedule.
Peek Pro manages our bike shop's very busy booking schedule of tours/rentals/service appointments etc.We have a very busy schedule and having it live in one place is key to our success. Additionally we've integrated custom booking options for users when they book a tour or rental with us. When they book, the user can add a variety of options at that time like a built-in gratuity or tshirt purchase...
The onboarding process is wonderful and helpful. The support seems to be pretty great as well.
There were a couple of issues post-launch with this client, and we have had some feedback from customers booking through peek, feeling that the experience was not intuitive and generated some confusion.
This particular client was solving the issue of wanting to try another operator from Fare Harbor but is not fully convinced that they will remain on Peek Pro at this early stage.
The backend of the site is easy to use once it is set up.
No "shopping cart" feature so users can't book more than one style of bike at a time - like an adult bike and a kids bike; Can't book by date - users have to select a bike first, and then see if its available the date they want it, which it often is not, as we have one of each style of bike. The waiver is not part of the booking process, so if the customer reserves in person, they have to reserve on our website (no booking app exists) and then switch to a table to fill the waiver. Too many steps for people on vacation.
We rent bikes and schedule guided trips and need an online booking software that could do both. They still need massive refinement of the rental booking portion.
I like a feature that allows guests to leave gratuity at the end of their experience but it is only because we won't process payment until the guest closes out at the end. That said, the "tipping feature" that caused us to choose Peek Pro in the first place above Checkfront and Fareharbor is actually an incredibly unreliable feature and we have had to refund hundreds of guests after receiving reports of double charges. Their gratuity system is not clear, and has caused an unmeasurable amount of frustration from both our guests and our staff.
Everything. For one, the customer servie is absolutely horrible. No one who works for Peek Pro knows anything about it. You may as well call a local McDonalds and ask them somehting about Peek Pro and the representative on the phone willl know just at much. Most importantly. I used Peek Pro for the entire 2023 season. I honestly can tell you what our actual sales were, how many rentals we had or how many guests because every report I pull form them is inconsistent. I contacted support. Its been almost 3 weeks and no one can answer the simple question "What were our sales". I could go on about this but I would caution anyone who cares anything about their business to choose an alternative service if possible.
We use Peek Pro to pocess sales and reservations for our rentals. That said, it has never worked in a reliable way that actually helps our business.
The actual PeekPro 5 was very good and user-friendly.
The new PeekPro 6 is all the opposite. We made so many complaints about their ïmprovemnets." but they don't care. With the new Peek Pro 6, as a salesperson, you need to take more steps to make a reservation, reschedule, and collect the payment. The reservations don't have all the details that we need on the first page like before. So many things are just simply wrong. There are 2-3 good upgrades, but then 5-6 bad downgrades, so it is not worth. There are so many different reservation systems on the market that will actually customize to user needs and less expensive.
No benefits. Just a lot of problems that take forever to resolve.
Onboarding staff were nice and it was easy to like at first.
They sit on your booking funds and won't pay out until several days after the booked activity date. This wasn't disclosed and I found this out after the account was set up and bookings were made. After all this work setting up the account I am now moving on to another service provider.
No benefit to me.
The system works just fine in every aspect and has a decent overall funtionality.
Peek Pro's support team is the worse. They have been retaining my payouts for more that 3 months putting my whole operation in risk. They are not reliable and I'm not trusting them anymore.
Booking activities.
During the demo and in the first month, it appeared to be a robust service provider with advanced functionality. BUT several key services have simply not worked or we've been told they don't have that functional yet, even though we were told they did in the demo.
Incorrect guest charges! The biggest issue is that our guests are getting charged more than we think they are - our system shows an amount, and that is what we get paid, less Peek's hefty commission, yet they guests are getting charged a different amount on their credit cards!! This is possible fraud, and is incredibly damaging to our reputation.
No benefits. High user fees and considerable use of my staff resources to troubleshoot. In the demo, they said they have a digital waiver - but really, it's almost unusable. Their solution was a 3rd party provider that is a $1300 set up fee, and $149 a month afterwards. They said they could migrate our customer data. Still waiting on that. Their reporting is faulty, so many features are glitchy, or so difficult to figure out that we are constantly calling their support. But overcharging our guests is a SERIOUS ISSUE!!
