Square Online Reviews: 4.2/5 — Solid Choice
While Square Online (formerly Weebly) is often seen as an entry-level website and CMS for businesses, marketers, and content publishers, its revamped and robust features offer so much more. Offering a free version and paid options, Weebly enables its users to build the websites and the content properties that they want, the way they want it. Responsive themes ensure mobile compatibility and optimized user experience across all screen sizes while powerful design capabilities pave the way for engaging, visually enticing, and on-brand content. In addition, native e-commerce functionalities such as order and inventory management, secure checkout and payment processing, and sales analytics make it a viable option among merchants to sell physical products, services, and digital goods.

As a software development project manager, I find the booking platform of Square Online quite useful. Our customers can easily log in and choose the services they require. This minimizes the time taken by a patient in making an appointment since they can book one without much trouble. Another important feature is the integrated payments system that can now make check-out stages much faster. In conclusion, it’s great how this solution makes the collaboration between us and our customers easily.
However there are parts that could make better. One limitation of the text communication is that it does not allow customization, as we would prefer, something which impedes our effort to communicate effectively in true brand voices.
The square online has played a significant role in addressing coordination and scheduling issues. It makes appointment booking to be quick and saves a lot of time.
Most helpful aspects have to be the left taskbar with easy drag and drop flexible features to easily publish and itegrate your website to the world wide web. Upsides are the simplicity and how fast you can make a professional site from scratch or built-in templates.
Sometimes there are some features I cannot find on the left taskbar, or specific formatting I want to customize within a template that I find hard to figure out without having to switch to HTML.
It hard to build a website, especially without in-depth knowledge of HTML. When running a profesisonal platform, website appearance is important and Weebly helps bridge that gap and provides me the benefit of a great front facing website easy to build.
Everything! Weebly editor is an incredibly seamless way to build out the website of your dreams with extremely minimal experience. The building features are simple but so easy to use and apply. It allows you to integrate apps and software directly through the website so things like creating merch are easy. I can't recommend them enough!
Wish there were more sales and better prices, but it is worth it! Also wish the build tools were slightly more advanced.
Website creation and merch creation as well as integration of all of our scheduling and payment software.
I can't say enough great things about the website builder and integrative tools on Square Online/Weebly. We've had such an easy time putting together a professional looking website that performs perfectly and linking all the necessary POS systems and payment processors.
Just needs slightly more options for linked up softwares and tools, there aren't as many options as I would like for podcasts and social media integrations specifically
Creating a professional website experience and integrating shopping platforms and softwares so we can accept payments
This is a good alternative for clients who just want to use a card and not set up a PayPal account
This does not paly well with my website (Ironically SquareSpace)
I have customers who dont like PayPal/Venmo and this offers a direct accept credit card option
Square online is a platform for new users who want to create their website without the need of coding and to have a easy experience in building websites. It's completely free.
Square online has it's benefits but also has some limitations like adding features that are very cool need to be paid for. The store feature needs to have a subscription.
Square online is solving the problem of not requiring to have a code to make a website and to avoid that hectic amount of stress to code a website and use all the coding tools to do so.
I love how there is a free plan available. The paid plans are highly affordable and come included with a free domain alongside it. Square online also allows you to manage inventory within the platform.
The transaction fees can add up for high-volume sellers, and there are limited customization options. Customer support is only available during some periods of the day, making it inconvenient.
It allows me to sell products using its built-in inventory management system. It also allows me to accept payments online. It increased my business performance greatly and boosted my revenue by over twice as much.
I have been with square since I started my business. It is extremely easy to use and their customer service is awesome.
The only thing I do not like about Square is nothing. I absolutely love them.
Square is where I have ny website and I pay very little which is what I need right now.
I love that the look is customizable and has a lot of resources available without upgrades. I also love integrating POS in my website because it takes fewer steps to earn the same for me.
I wish there were more marketing resources without an upgrade - email marketing, for example.
Keeps sales reports and trends, provides a secure method of sales my customer trusts, offers my customers a space off of social media platforms where they can keep up with my business.
There's a lot of features and it is easy to use.
The fees. Even though th ir industry standard. They should be more competitive.
Reaching customers online is easier with The website that's included with sign-up at no extra charge it's also easier matk items on sale and keep an updated inventory.
Easy to use templates that will make the work faster
Less customizing options we have to depend more on templates
I am solving the problem of late website development
What I like the most about it is the way it breaks each part of typical website includes. Takes some of the guest work out of it.
What I dislike the most was the designs seemed very elementary.
I used this site for personal branding.
Easy to use! I'm not great at technology and I could figure this out!
The free version does not have tons of options. It's very basic.
Keeping people updated what's going on at my place of work.
I enjoy how the interface is so simple to understand, with being able to easily drag the features to the website and see the web design in real-time as you are working. Even someone with no coding experience can easily design a website that will simply appeal to the eye, similar to iPhones with dragging the locations of apps on the screen.
I don't like how Weebly websites usually have .weebly.com in them and make it obvious it was designed by Weebly. I wish there were a way to pay to remove this feature. Additionally, it would be nice if you could add extra features designed by developers with a way to import extra features to truly be able to make the most out of your website. It would also be nice if they paired with a coding company that would teach you to design simple features on the website yourself to gain coding experience.
I am solving the problem of designing websites for my customers' brands with this platform. I can simply throw their information onto the website without the hassle of coding the website myself. I have realized how easy the platform is to use and how little training it requires, just a creative eye from my end.
The absolute best thing about square is it's recognizability now. In the summer, the farm stand I manage uses square at three locations and at every location, people always ask if we use square and if we accept pay by phone or pay by tap. It has become the norm to accept payment through our little cell phone app and it is incredibly convenient, relatively cost-effective, and definitely improves sales figures since people are more willing to spend more when they have their cards.
As I said before, we have three locations that are currently using square. Maybe it is Us, maybe we are missing something, but after about 6 years of use, we cannot seem to figure out how to separate each location under the same account. All sales for our three locations are jumbled into one account which makes it so that we must rely on inventory counts to get an accurate distribution of sales amongst the three locations. It would be incredible if we could link different square devices to different stores without having three separate accounts. Again, it is not enough of an issue for our little business to warrant anything less than an incredible review.
The obvious major problem that we are solving is convenience for our customers. It is not unusual for people to come into our store without paper cash, and so they are more willing to return simply out of convenience without having to plan ahead for hitting the ATMs. Because of this, visit seem to happen more regularly for our already regular customers, and incidental purchases have also increased because people are not worried about going over whatever amount of cash they have in their wallet.
Much easier to design and manage websites than some of the others I've tried. Weebly is very flexible and intuitive to use. I've had no issues keeping up with updates and changes.
I would like some more intuitive ways to manage plug ins and addons, possibly some training videos, but aside from that, I haven't had any issues. I've been very happy for over 6 years.
In the past, I found that the learning curve on some website building tools was very steep or the tools were so basic that they weren't flexible. With Weebly, I could create websites for my clients and then turn over management for updates to my clients without worrying that they would need to constantly come back to me for changes.
I love how I can link this to my Wordpress website and when I upload items to my website it automatically updates on my transactions app/ipad
I wish I could update inventory via the transactions app and weebly. It seems like weebly can update the transactions app but not vice versa.
This solves the problem of being able to add items to my online store and automatically updating across the other apps. That way I don't have to add items to each app individually so it saves me time!
Very easy to use layouts and pre-prepared tools that makes it very smooth to implement what we need.
Some of the add-ins dont implement properly into our platform or website and they have many bugs they dont function like they should and are better off not being used altogether. need more options for add-ins and better functinality on all of them.
Full control over our platform and website. we dont need to rely on someone else and we are saving money by doing all the work ourselves. weebly/square makes it very easy for us to add or remove content, make updates and add what we want whenever we want. we also get important alerts for compliance for our industry.
It is easy to navigate between page creations. Even I, as a beginner, built my website from scratch without professional help. The templates make the creation process easy and quick to set up.
That there is no live support to chat with when you have an urgent issue with your page, you have to go and post a comment or request to the community and then wait for a reply, and you sometimes wait days and don't receive a satisfactory answer to your problem.
I have built a website for my business. To advertise my products, I can have all my products in one place. I can develop my business brand the way I see it in my head, not how a website-making professional sees your vision.
I like how easily you can adjust everything. It makes it very simple to create a website.
Some widgets are a little confusing to customize and they give you limited choices.
I used it in a class project and it helped me start my website in a basic format.
My daughter and I knew nothing about setting up a website. Someone suggested Weebly and it is now the primary website program for her organization.
I wish that you didn't have to pay to get the word WEEBLY out of your domain address, it makes it very difficult for people to remember the name of our address.
We needed a way to communicate with potential group members and sponsors. I am able to link it to forms for them to fill out as well as to donation links through our mother nonprofit. It is easy to setup a site relatively quickly and without expertise.
It is so easy to use and I like how I have control over the website.
Sometimes paying for extra items for the website, can get confusing.
Everything works together my POS and online store
We used weebly for about a year and it served us well, it has a great cams and it’s easy to make changes in the fly but ultimately we needed more, and our web developer recommended we switch to Wordpress for our website, so that’s what we did
We really didn’t have any problems with weebly but if I had to pinpoint one issue it would be with the lack of ability to customize design
Selling online and creating a website for our business
Great for beginners to create simple website by drag and drop without coding skills. Lot of themes and pre build website models helps to create website easily within few hours time. Price is very cheap. Great SEO Scoring with weebly.
Need to upgrade account to use more features. Number of pages is limited with free platform.
Created my website without coding skills. With Great SEO Score my website get top in search engines. Through that my revenue increased.
Square is a cheap and easy program to accept payments, manage sales, and send out invoices for your business.
It isn’t available offline and the invoice section is a little difficult to navigate and customize.
Very helpful for my small business. Let’s me accept payment on the road and send out invoices for service calls. I also really like that it is compatible with my website
Cant believe how easy it is to build a page with this. I am a GenX lawyer building his own firms website. I was done in about 2 hours. SO easy to build things!
Its not super easy to get things to "stick" at a place in the web page. If I want a thing to stick I have to build up frames to capture it in a certain position. Should be just click drag and drop to format.
Benefit: people are finding my website!
Weebly is a great easy to use app for website building that has all of the basic tools needed for a small business to thrive. I love the fact that everything is simple to use and I am able to quickly create websites for business or even as prototypes for business ideas.
I love that there are great templates and drag and drop features, but I do wish there was the option to be more precise such as a tool like Wix provides. I have some graphic design knowledge, so if I could get more intricate that would be helpful at times. I've tried working with the code, but without a lot of training it's challenging to do that effectively and it upsets the template.
Weebly provides the website for multiple business revenue sources for me. I have a podcast website, a site for my membership organization, and a site to promote my consulting and speaking. I have also used Weebly to develop websites for PR clients who don't have a presence yet. Clients love the fact that they don't need to pay a webmaster to continually manage their sites for the long haul. They can jump in and edit their own sites.
It takes about 15 minutes to set up a simple website!
Nothing right now...been using it for around a week.
I have a website, contact forms, and I got it all done in less than 2 hours!
The volunteer fire department who's website I built was built using the Weebly platform. Weebly was hands down the most affordable and most efficient means by which to build and maintain their website. The best part of Weebly was the ability to create a secure area for the departments members, which enabled me to build out a member portal that serves as a secure repository for a lot of their member's paperwork and reports.
The only thing I disliked was the app continually glitching. The app is very functional but at the same time, very glitchy. Also, the inability to justify text in the app was also a minor setback in many circumstances.
I was able to help the department provide a constant flow of communication to its constituents, thereby improving the relationship it has with the community.
Weebly by far has the best templates. I also love how easy to use it is, not super expensive and how easily you can create a beautiful website without needing to know how to code a website.
The customization and design features do limit you a little to what they allow rather than being able to design exactly what you want.
Building low key, simple websites for clients.
