Ease of use. Intuitive. Easy to share with clients.
No tablet / phone based interface. This is a HUGE drawback. Also - if I could zoom in to the specific hour in terms of scheduling, this is the only thing I'd use
Multi task / multi department / international workflows in creative media production
I come form P3 and Microsoft Project and though TeamGantt doesn't do what those will do TeamGantt in many ways will do more. Here is the problem with other software, its to big too expensive and to confusing for the novice to use. All we want from TeamGantt is to get our 105 employees all working together on one schedule and so far after 10 months of use TeamGantt continues to bring more people together and its keeping more conversations focus on the build task not just the overall job. Problem areas are more easily identified and issues are worked through quicker because the novice schedule users, like our account specialist, managers, builders, and purchasing, can now communicate within each project and each tasks assignment. Sort comings: If you need a heavy cost analyst tool TeamGantt isn't for you. If you want your whole team talking with each other through a documented process then TeamGantt does very well. We currently are running about 20 plus project on any given day ranging from small single line projects to 120 line project. We have Venders / Contractors / Owners and Architects all using the software.
I'd like to be able to have conversations flagged or marked in a way that would leave them open until I decide to close them. Would Like a project Merge though Teamgantt has its own way of doing this I like having a lot of subprojects all connected to one main project but keeping the individual teams intact. This is not a deal breaker in any way.
Getting novice users using. That is working great.
The project owner can create Gantt charts in one click for the entire project and can have a control on the critical path to ensure projects are done within the timeline.
Tasks can be assigned to the responsible owners but the dashboards some times does not refresh to the names assigned. Tracking multiple projects comes with few limitations.
Creating and monitoring the critical path of the project to ensure proper timeline completion. Ability to book hours and track them individually to the resource level.
I think the ease of use and also I was able to drag and drop which makes everything so easy.
Print/ Export to PDF did not allow for enough modifications/customization.
Project planning so far. I could perhaps use it for project implementation at a later date.
TeamGantt is a great option for smal teams that want basic project management options without going to deep into assignments, template, or data
It is a bit basic of a system with limitations on things like tram usage styles, project view options, templates, and the kind of data you can pull
Helps the team communicate in one place
I like how team gantt visualizes tasks and the entire project timeline in a easy to understand way. I feel that team gantt is great for managing small short term projects. I have not been able to see how it performs for long term projects.
The software has a lot of sub menus that are often hard to use initial.
We are using team gantt to develop industrial drone solutions. Team Gantt helps manage short term projects effectively.
Color Coding Being able to Contact the team Easy of use
Adding Tasks at the end of to-do list I find is a bit agitating. I wish I could add a task in the middle of my to do list.
Senior Design Project. Clear Communication. Easy to get a visual where everyone is at
- Create New Projects - New tasks - Invite people to Project
At this time I think is a great platform
- Present the timeline for the projects that I Manage so far
The way the user interface is laid out makes it super easy to use, and the colour coding aspect helps a big project stay organised.
Would be nice to be more specific about time scales rather than having to measure tasks by day.
Using for a university project and helps me stay organised, motivated and keeps my lecturers happy!
the price is what got our attention - we were looking at alternative and this seemed like a goo option for what we were looking to accomplish
none so far - migration of information from other in flight projects - due to this we are using to systems creating extra work
None at this time - as we are still implementing and testing usage and benefits
Clean, intuitive interface for both admins and end users. Strong collaboration features connected to email.
Editing Gantt charts can be cumbersome. There isn't a way to update multiple line items simultaneously.
Project managing customer implementations. We've experienced better collaboration and communication internally as an organization.
The UI is clean and easy to learn which makes onboarding non technical users a relatively easy process.
The gantt chart does not dynamically update with changes which means you will need to refresh the screen to see any changes made by other users.
We wanted a gantt chart solution that would be able to incorporate resource utilization and had a short learning curve.
The drag and drop interface makes creating and editing project Gantt charts an absolute breeze.
The synchronisation with Basecamp is very good but can be difficult to get the sync to work both ways.
TeamGantt provides visibility for all project stakeholders of key milestones as well as allowing discussions and collaboration.
I like the UI of TeamGantt, particularly when it comes to collaboration/communication. I've use quite a few other project management softwares in the past and, in a lot of them, reading comments and reviews from other team members has been a serious headache. Using TeamGantt all comments are in a linear timeline, similar to Facebook, which is very easy to read and track.
I dislike the default email notifications. When assigned to a project, you will receive a small barrage of email notifications and they sort of become ignored/spam after a while. This can be configured by logging into the software and changing notification settings, but I wish the default setting wasn't *quite* so many emails.
We use this tool to manage some (not all, at least not yet) of our software efforts. So far it has made every project that it's touched run a bit more smoothly and has kept the lines of communication open between project teams.
Being able to export to excel to catch up while in the air, and quickly uploading.
There is no app, which would make working off-line much easier.
Helping distribute workload evenly among the team, also help us realize how slowly some team members are working.
It's a concise system that allows for a team to congregate and work in one place. It allows for many users and for those users to cross reference based on different projects.
The organization of the system still needs some work. The layout of the site can seem very overwhelming and can get very mundane when creating templates, copying those templates month after month, and adjusting the timestamps for each task. Can be very time consuming for large projects.
It has allowed our team to be aware of projects going on with all of us and has eased some communication struggles that we have had.
