Clean programming, nice design and very easy to use. I like it because I don‘t have to spend too much time with it.
Sometimes the program crashes. I can‘t really reconstruct why it happens, but sometimes it does.
I can track my time very easily. It doesn‘t cost me much time to count it and I can put it in different categories.
I could break down the jobs into a number of categories and narrow down by task, stakeholder, time spent, which member of the team was working on what. I could also pull off reports on a weekly basis to analyse in further detail.
I couldn't integrate the software into my calendar and notifications of sorts would have been good too.
I could see if a team member was spending too long on a task meaning I could either get them to complete a task quicker or to not spend as much time on other tasks where are skills are not adding value.
Logging time as a freelancer. It's easier to have a look at time spent on various projects
The fact that it is a cloud application I'm not comfortable in sharing data
Hour management. It's easy to store login and logout times.
Toggl is very easy to work with, very simple and user friendly. I also like it's design.
There are not that many features, and you can't create sub categories.
With toggl I managed to easy and fast understand how much time I take to do a simple task. I checked how much I was beeping paid for the whole process and then I could calculate how much money I was getting per hour.
The best thing about Toggle is that one can update the work done and time spent on it for past days and even weeks
Sometimes a little time consuming to log for every work
Clearly describes at what time what work was done. Tracking of time spent on work becomes very easy.
The extensions and support for apis are good. Not sure about the realtime toggl switch's effectiveness
I cannot copy my last week hours. Its almost unrealistic to track time realtime. So allow times to be copied from past
Time tracking.
Toggl is a truly great idea, and they have plenty of apps to use it. There's a mobile app, chrome app, and website. It's about as easy to use as possible.
While this app is incredibly easy to use, it's simply a burden to use it. I don't find this software really annoying or anything, it's just tiresome to have to log every single little thing. I would like this to be automated a little more.
We use this software to keep in compliance with IRS regulations. We need to track time spent in various tasks. This allows us to use it to backlog everything.
It works well if you remember to use the real time feature where you’re recording with their stopwatch. I don’t typically find this practical though.
I don’t like that when you have to do previous days, you have to continue to select the date for each individual entry. If you have multiple clients and days this adds a lot of unnecessary time. You should be able to select the day first and do all of your entries for that day at once. I find it inefficient when entering time. It would be easier if it was a spreadsheet format where you could just list everything in one place.
We use it for time tracking in an agency. It helps keep track of client time so that we know when where people are spending their time and which clients are taking up the bulk of time.
I liked that this was a free time tracking software
I didn't like the functionality. It was hard to input times and there wasn't much options to tag the time for certain tasks.
As a consultant I had to log my hours and I used this software for that purpose.
Cool features, everything you need is in there
Not enough reminders sent, often leave it running too long and can’t fix
Time sheet issues
Very simple interface. Easy to implement.
Doesn't integrate with other solutions (in our use case, basecamp).
Time tracking outside of a CMS. We have since switched to Harvest because it integrates with our current CMS.
Toggl can be used across accounts and platforms because you use it through a browser. It's an easy click on and off structure that I like when I'm very busy.
Sometimes certain entries cannot be deleted and the blog updates get in the way of using the tool. I'd also like to have tools that automatically provide stats like average amount of time for either all tasks or just tasks with certain titles.
I have to keep track of many patient appointments throughout the day - this allows me to do so easily without having to look at a clock and write down the time myself.
I love the way it tracks out each item. It's easy to use and simple to download. The start/stop process is very quick and easy! The app on the corner of your screen is nice as well!
Wish there was an automatic feature of sorts, mostly user error as to if there were data issues. I almost wish it had an option to have a pop up if you switch screens or something.
Helping you realize what you are actually spending time on. A lot of times you think that things take longer than they actually do, or you realize how much time you actually do spend on things.
Allows you to assign each task to a project
Quite confusing, the difference between tasks, projects, clients etc.
Tracking time spent on different tasks
I like the way that tiners work is easy to start a timer and start Woking and once you finish stop the timer
The autocomplete doesn't work thet why I espected
Time tracking and reports for time usage
i love how toggl track is able to be synced to my computer rather than only through a website. it is easy to integrate into my day to day workflow rather than adding another step where I could be distracted. it's also available across several devices.
there are other softwares that are more intuitive. I feel like there is room for toggl track to be more integrated while also allowing for ways to focus and create blinders for work
it's great to be able to access toggl track through so many different devices to ensure the time I am tracking is accurate. Being able to correctly track time helps assess priorities more easily and plans my days
Makes time tracking of my team's hours easy
Some other apps offer more features and are free
time tracking within team under different projects
Desktop app easy to use PDF reports are good to send to to clients for their review/record-keeping purposes and they're not too attractive, but importantly they are straightforward to view and understand.
No complaints, it works well and is great for the team,
Toggl reminds me not to waste time. I can switch from one task to another in a blast. This saves me precious work minutes and helps accountability.
How quick it is to use the phone. I enjoy informing you about previous posts so you don't have to retype those regular events. The records are also very detailed. Then when I get a message from Toggl I really enjoy it because I failed to pause the timer; it's really handy!
Using Toggl has been a positive experience, I am currently still on the Free account as I am not sure whether I should upgrade or not, the extra functions would be great but I am not sure the price is "attractive" to me.
Toggl has helped me keep track of ongoing projects and be able to charge clients more effectively.
I like the fact that it’s simple to use with a simple interface
It doesn’t automatically track hours based on location.
Double checked my hours against what my boss had, I wasn’t going to get paid for 10 hours of work.
I guess for a manager and top personnel it’s a really good and free way the employee to record their time and the amount of time you spend on specific tasks. In order, for management to build metrics in the employee to see the utilization rate and to properly account for a budget for the next year. Since they are able to see how much time on average every person spends.
As an employee I don’t like being timed. It makes me feel mircromanaged but I understand the reason behind it as I explained above. I don’t really dislike toggle it’s extremely easy to use.
I am able to track how much time something takes me to do a task. I also am able to switch between tasks when I feel that I’ve spent too much time on it.
It is going for seeing how long you are spending on a task.it does have good features
It can be expensive and doesn’t include things like calendars and scheduling
Just wished it had more a lower price
The export of your doings was very help full for yearly or monthly evaluation.
I used this tool for a while but it is more manual process when it comes to starting and stopping.
Time tracking Auditing
Good time tracking tool, with categorization and auto-fill
Have found other better options very similar to toggl but free and with more features
Time-tracking within our team for various projects
The best thing about Toggl from my perspective is its ubiquity. There is a version for every device I use, so not using it because it's not available isn't a thing.
Really, nothing. Like all software, it has limitations. In terms of doing what it is designed to do, it works pretty well. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it provides utility in an area where people are the weak link. There simply isn't a perfect tool for recording time because, in the end, all of them have to be used. In short, Toggl works pretty great, but the category is a bit of a lost cause.
It did allow me to capture time I would have otherwise lost. That translates into billing, and that is money in my pocket.
Toggl is helpful because you can work on a project and it helps track your time spent on it.
What I dislike is that you have to make sure you stop the time tracker.
Time tracking on a project
The friendly user experience and ease of use.
Seemed to lack important business features.
Time management.
When I was freelance toggl made it super easy to track time on projects. It integrated well into my project dashboard in Asana and the desktop app made it easy to turn the clock on an off. The notifications were also great because it would remind you to track time if you were signed in.
I am not sure if this is user error but the tags were bad. It was hard to determine what time was part of what group. I would often re-use titles too and it would automatically suggest a tagged group. The problem with this was If I was not paying attention the time would get added to the wrong group... so I would have to go back and manually fix it.
With toggl it made it easier to track time and review how long projects took. This was important because we could compare it to the amount of money we were making off the project and determine if we needed to re-work out strategy based on the amount of time it was taking. We also were able to charge more based on actual time spent versus just and estimate.
I like that it integrates with our other programs so that it's easy to associate time with projects.
This doesn't work for all team members. For members who aren't on the customer side of things their time tracking isnt associated with a customer.
We can now calculate how much money each client is costing us when it comes to time management. We have also realized that our time was being used to heavily in emails and not actually completing work.
I like how simple it is do log in and start timing without wasting more time
The reminders to start the timer were a little obnoxious, but overall no suggestions to improve! Great experience.
Helpful for tracking billable time
