As an outsourcing business with over 100+ clients where a core part of our business is recruitment on behalf of our clients, we were looking for a platform that was easy to use, intuitive, and which our clients could be exposed to without the need for training. Workable's interface is it's strong selling point, which makes it easy to use, and extremely intuitive, meaning a client hiring manager can jump in and be effective with limited direction. It has become an integral part of our business, and a key differentiator.
It would be great to be able to skin (brand) it ourselves! However, not really much to dislike with Workable.
The main problem we are solving is the hiring of offshore team members for our clients around the world. Prior, everything was by email, which meant there was no central repository, and we were often lost as to what had been agreed. Workable provides us with a fantastic central repository which has become part of our business interface. We share Workable with our clients, and so it has become an essential part of our service delivery.
Contact candidates, share insights with colleagues, easily read through multiple resumes
On my iPad the app won’t switch to landscape to work with my keyboard
I can read other interviewers insights before shortlisting
easy to use, super helpful, makes the applicant management so much more easier and efficient, allows for keeping track of notes + exchanging internally by tagging people, storing evaluations. Also great for keeping track of communication with candidates, scheduling interviews with a self-schedule linke, etc. I really recommend Workable as a ATS!
I have not encountered anything I dislike
- applicant management incl screening, sending bulk answers, talent pool management, communication with candidates, easy scheduling interviews, tracking evaluations, internal commenting/exchanging on clients with other hiring managers
the design and how everything is in its place
while we make changes in the google calendar it doesn't reflect on workable.
I set up interviews and it is very easy handle.
The stages of each process and that I am able to choose them. Able to tag any team member involved in the recruitment process, and also that I can see the evaluations of other team members. I really like that the candidates are able to write down like a brief resume about themselves. Looking forward to improve our internal recruitment and hiring process. Love that we can see all the resumes of every candidate and even know if they have apply to any other positions published in the past.
I havent discover how to filter by gender or salary. If its possible I would like to have a training is these parts so I can fully enjoy this platform and excel on my performance and improve the service I give to my internal and external clients. Right now I'm not disliking nothing, I'm in the process of getting to know Workable, so probably in the end I will like it and get along with it.
Loose track with candidates. And also having crystal clear the opinions of all the team members involve in the process and get to reach them to tell us more about the candidates and why they have got that kind of thoughts.
I personally like that you can see what stages candidates are at on the dashboard. I also like the fact that you can create custom workflows for each role specifically.
That you aren't able to send candidate rejections from a "do not reply" email.
Visually I am able to stay on top of candidates in the process due to the amazing interface of workflows.
It keeps comms away from Candidates, but you can see everything in 1 place.
Disqualification is not easy without a reason. Sometimes its obvious they are not right.
Sharing of CVs across team members.
The features "evaluations" and "comments", and the process flow at the top of the page.
I sometimes find it hard to get to the screen that shows the candidates for a certain vacancy. I go all the way back to the home page to get there. It's not a huge deal. but a direct way to get there from any screen would be great.
We're solving the concern of being real-time in the reporting information of where the candidates/vacancies are at in the process. The main benefit is that our hiring managers can view it anytime!
The templated emails, the history of each candidates and the calendar feature to organise each interview and integrate with my existing schedule.
I can honestly say that I have not come across any features I dislike on this platform.
Time management, and ease of reviewing candidates. Overall organisation as well is top notch.
The user experience, dashboard simplicity and the multiple options to screen and retain candidacies. I love that it is easy to navigate through.
Not being able to review the dates of past postings. It is not a make or break point, but it would be easier to clone archived postings if the date appeared on it.
Using the report function to generate various reports. For example, knowing when a specific role was published, how many candidates applied and from where.
