Workable Pros and Cons
- Easy to use with lots of amazing functions.
- Simplistic and easy to understand.
- Easy to accidentally email the wrong candidates.
- Difficult cusomter service.
Compare Workable with other popular tools in the same category.
Easy to use, customizable, has increased efficiency and collaboration
Not much to dislike so far, support is great and responsive
We have been able to use Workable to get great referrals from our team
How easy and pleasant the interface is, the ability to edit the selection process to add or remove steps and the ability to upload Linkedin profiles directly.
Honestly, there is nothing that I do not like, its functionalities are just what is needed for a selection process, neither more nor less.
Thanks to Workable I can have the entire selection process in one place, leave notes for my fellow recruiters and look at past profiles in selection processes that are already closed.
Very easy to navigate and has all the important information where you need it
When moving to offer stage it becomes a little more tricky.
Addressing the areas where we need to source more candidates for specific roles
The usability is perfect and easy to work; People's search is incredible; The referral helps a lot and is a great feature!!
I would like to have more flexibility to create more workflows by myself, not depending on someone to input the process for me.
The visibility of the workflow to my leaders, they now can follow up how is their position. Also, managing the communications with my candidates is helping me a lot.
You can add lengthy comments and information about candidates in your talent pool and on the role. I like you can follow a role from the start to hiring and understand the process to get there. Posting a role is easy and quick
Nothing at the moment. If you were to look at extras it would be add ons like billing etc
Full recruitment lifecycle. Being able to email candidates, make comments, re-post roles to social media
Workable is easy to get started and allows you to track your candidates at every stage of the recruitment process. You can link it to your email so you don't miss messages if you are not in Workable all day.
I found it difficult to create an offer template and would have appreciated an online help feature or a support number or chat to contact someone for assistance.
We currently do not have an ATS so workable is a great solution for us and it is reasonably proiced. We have currently hired 3 candidates using this application.
First of all the general picture of my current pipeline. Very user friendly interface. Good reports. Great integration with LinkedIn, BambooHR, other social media. I could customise my emails, also I can send bulk emails for connecting with candidates. Support answers very quickly for all my questions, it's also very important.
It would be great to improve some reports to create them automatically. I guess it's the only one thing I would improve.
Referral system for our colleagues. Bulk emails. Reports
It gives access to other stakeholders; I can post on multiple platforms and personalize the pipeline
It's very black and white. It would be nice if I could select multiple posts and refresh them all at once.
We are maximizing exposure of the companies job opening by posting on multiple platforms at once. With Covid and remote working, as well as having numerous offices across the countries, it's easy for every stakeholder to have access and see the progress of the applicants.
Workable enables all who are involved in a hiring process to view the entire timeline and all the candidates. It's hiring made simple like never before
Sometimes there are glitches when using the left or right arrow buttons while typing a note to schedule.
It just makes everything so seamless, and all that the other hiring members need to do is join as a Standard member!
It makes it easy to access and review candidates
So far it's been a great experience, nothing to complain
It is a fast way to recruit and process new employees and track back and review candidates from previous job posts.
candidate selection all in one place....
nothing is discouraging.................
not having to go to multiple job sites
The way workable manages everything and makes everything easy when you have to go through hundreds of CVs!
Nothing to dislike, it has made my life easy :)
CV management, Job posting, sharing it with colleagues, and go through them really quickly. Also, you have lots of options available which proved handy.
I love how easy this platform is to use, but the ease doesn't take away from the quality nor the extra features that are so handy. Everything is in one spot, from sourcing candidates, having them apply, to doing their background check, writing offer letters, and all.
I love the template function; however, when setting up an appointment for candidates, you have to manually insert the text. So, for now, I am copying and pasting a preexisting format into the text when I set up interviews with candidates for their second interview.
Before Workable, we had multiple sites where we were communicating with people then putting them into our old ATS. With Workable posting our jobs to numerous job platforms, especially Indeed, we no longer have to keep up with different communication platforms. Now, it's all in Workable!
Hiring plan and customizable tracking for each job; user interface is user friendly and navigation is intuitive; help directory is robust so whenever I have a question, there is always an answer and if I cannot find the answer the help desk is at the ready.
There are not many things to complain about with this system
We had a system that was not working well because no one knew how to use it or didn't like using it. People are utilizing the features of Workable and the hiring teams are able to stay on track and on the same page.
We started using Workable as a big step up from using our personal linkedin's to find people and tracking candidates an Excel sheet. It has tools for all of the applicant tracking and schduling. It integrated easily with our website so the jobs update automatically.
Small Nits to pick: Workable posts to "16 job sites", but most candidates came from Linkedin and Indeed, and the other 14 were filler. The AI auto Sourcing only works for generic jobs. The Candidate search function contained a lot of scraped data like old work emails or your first email when you were 13. Double-check the email for reaching out. And always cross-reference the profiles with LinkedIn to see if the data is up to date.
Workable allowed us to do recruiting well before had HR. We used it to hire our first HR person, who is using it to continue hiring.
The dashboard is my favorite. I love being able to see the status of my candidates
I honestly don't have a dislike. I have used 3 ATS in the past and have been using Workable now for about three years, and it is by far my favorite
The main problem I have solved from using Workable is no longer having to keep up with a shared spreadsheet because the dashboard is so great
1. Keeping the track record of candidates and Feedback. 2. Offered candidates track record.
1. If the candidate does not want to join on the agreed date and to proposes for the next joining date, then we have to delete the entire candidature and do it once again, which I don't like.
1. Avoiding feedbacks on Email my problem is solved here, and moving the candidate to the hired stage and keeping track is helping me with benefits.
It made the recruitment process simpler and efficient.
More appealing interface. Better aesthetic.
We needed additional manpower for our support. Workable streamlines the process of recruitment.
Workable is incredibly user friendly for supervisors and managers to use when reviewing resumes in the hiring process. It makes it incredibly easy to sort qualified candidates and move them to the next step of the interview process. Would definitely recommend.
No complaints so far/there is nothing I dislike about using workable.
Workable has made it much easier to review candidates for multiple positions and keep it organized. We also receive resumes much more quickly than we used to.
Tracking candidates process more easily and effective
Sometimes the apps got lacked or slowdown to open
End to end recruitment, from sourcing-interview-offer-hired. It makes user easy to track and follow the recruitment process.
I love how everything needed sits inside of the system.
Some functions aren't available on mobile app
Solving communication and workflow. The benefits of easy candidate journey.
I love Workable's automations feature, offer templates, and support team. Great integrations for job posting, applicant testing, scheduling, and HRIS. Their chat support is very helpful and very available which makes it simple and quick to solve most problems. Overall, an easy and intuitive ATS solution with a great UX and awesome customer support.
It can be frustrating to need to reach out to your account manager to do things like add new workflows and add standard application form questions that apply across all jobs; would be better if this was able to be done by account admin. Additionally, we have run into bugs with self-schedule links that have caused candidate and hiring manager frustration. Reporting is so-so and could be improved, but gives us the base of what we need.
We use Workable as our ATS. Makes end to end hiring a breeze.
Even if the Recruiter has not logged in to view applicant flow, the Workable system emails the Recruiter when new candidates enter the system.
At this time, nothing is glaring that I dislike ( From a Recruiter perspective).
We are doubling the size of our sales force. The benefits have been the ability to graduate candidates along in the system to help stay organized.
Very efficient and easy to receive applicants across multiple platforms.
Linking to some social media sites is not accurate, but very few complaints.
Quick and easy way to review applicants... helps to save time when trying to make decisions about who to interview.
Ease of use and how collaborative the platform is.
Nothing that I can currently pinpoint as the platform has surpassed expectations.
How easy it is to review candidate profiles and leave feedback for others to view.
I like that everyone on my team can work on different parts of our hiring process. Being able to leave notes for others simplifies tasks and allows us to move quickly and efficiently.
I wish it automatically deleted outdated applicants.
Hiring. By using workable, we have cut down on our meetings and emails significantly. Workable streamlines the process.
Everything in one place; easy to move candidates from phase to phase and remember where you're at with each role or candidate.
kind of tricky at first, but once you're used to the interface it's all good.
candidate organization, less paper, post-its etc problems are solved. Benefit of being able to communicate with candidate right from the app is awesome.
Ability to filter through candidates and setup our own workflow of candidates
The auto find candidates machine learning doesn't always find relevant candidates
Hiring has become quicker - all involved in the recruitment can get notifications easier than 100's of emails
User-friendly interface, multiple ways of uploading cv's and manage candidates
Nothing so far since I am a newbie and I am stil learning how to us it
Recruiting, req management
Workable makes it so easy to look at candidates, share feedback, and move through the hiring process
At times the interface was a little confusing to me. Almost redundant but honestly I have found very little to dislike.
Rather than having a meeting to discuss feedback, we can all review and comment in workable. It saves so much time!
