Compare Workable with other popular tools in the same category.
I can see all candidates on the left side of bar. I can make bulk actions.
I really don't have any complaints about workable. The features have not gotten in my way of successfully recruiting.
Adding managers to see progress or emails.
Workable is extremely user friendly and the technology is easy to learn. At our company, hiring managers are heavily involved in the recruitment process. Workable allows the HR team to have extreme oversight over the hiring managers and the system makes it easy to stay organized. Workable is also competitively priced.
Workable is extremely innovative and announces new features often; however, those new features come at an additional cost.
There are a lot of features within Workable that have helped our business solve problems. The sourced feature uses technology to source candidates that have not applied to the position, but seem to be a good fit. This allows us to have a larger candidate pool without adding additional time. The templates are also extremely useful and easy to set up. Workable comes with a slew of templates and you are able to edit and create new ones according to your business needs.
Ease of use; easy to train company employees; excellent integrated tools to manage applicant communications (from bulk rejection emailing, to adding applicants, to video screen technology, etc.); very good reporting tools built in; built-in apis with top external job boards - simple to activate; very good linked referral site for employees to use for referring candidates to requisitions; very good customer service and support from the company; and finally, very fairly priced.
More detailed/customizable reporting capabilities missing; req. timing while built into the system, is not easily obtained for a req. through the reporting system; no "Mailchimp" like capabilities in the system to reach out to prospective candidates (it can be done but challenging); no real ability to do a conceptual search or boolean search on applicant pool in your database
Looking for a cost-effective ATS that allows us to quickly post positions, integrating with various popular job boards, incorporates technologies that allow us to better connect with and communicate with our candidate customers. And finally, a system that allows to properly disposition candidates. All that plus the ability to offer hiring managers ease of use if they wish to self-serve their talent recruiting needs. Workable has done all that and more. We have done a lot of recruiting with a very low people and $$ overhead.
Having been in the talent acquisition space for nearly a decade, I've used my share of ATS platforms. Workable is by far and away the easiest system to use. The systems intuitive nature allows even the newest users to get a general understanding of the system, without having to provide a formal training - if you don't have the bandwidth. I really enjoy the social/feedback reviewing abilities as well.
I don't have any true dislikes in Workable. Reporting is always an area of improvement for any system but I find the reports that I do have access to in Workable are very easy to use.
Time to hire. Workable has made it very easy for hiring teams to quickly review and provide feedback for candidates. This has helped me tremendously with keeping a smooth and efficient candidate/interview experience.
It is so easy to navigate Workable and to integrate it to your hiring platform.
I have not come across anything that I do not like about Workable.
If you miss a step in the hiring process Workable let's you know so you can fix it before moving on to the final hiring stage.
Friendly UI, easy to track the candidates.
Nothing, I didn't find any cons till now.
Easy application tracking, interviews scheduling, taking feedback.
The interface is very user friendly and intuitive. It's very easy to move candidates to the appropriate stages of the hiring process. The hiring team review feature is very handy and team members are able to put in their comments and tag other team members when necessary. We have it integrated with Jobma for the video interview portion which works well. The direct messaging and templates make bulk messaging effective.
I don't like that it tries to automatically pull social media accounts from the applicant's information. We found that most of the time it's not accurately linked and also can foster unconscious bias. We wish that there was a little more customization with the rating scale from Defintely, Yes, or No. Our hiring team often wishes that there was a sideways thumb.
It's a one-stop shop for everything Applicant tracking related. It's saved us countless hours of administrative work.
Clear pipeline, intuitive design, great timeline of communication with a candidate, handy interview kits and score cards, posting to job boards and many more.
Some features that get introduced over the time as Add-Ons cost quite a penny, but again they bring additional value to your hiring process
With more and more positions to close from year to year Workable answers our hiring needs at all levels — whether it's a strategic view on how business is doing with all vacancies, structured reports, visually clear piplines, or it's an intuitive process for hiring managers when guiding candidates through stages (we love that we can customize pipelines for various posiitions as well), or sourcing and reachout to multiple candidates at a time. We've been able to save time for our hiring managers with automated templates, video interviews, smooth integration with BambooHR when someone gets hired and many more useful features.
The home location where all the jobs are viewed helps us a lot rather than searching around each time
I felt the reports section can be improved a lot better as I found it not to be accurate
Candidate database at a place which helps us to and fro to find out if someone already applied in the past
Having all candidates in one place is super helpful to see who is qualified and who isn't, all while keeping a log of everyone
There shouldn't have to be a rationale required to give a candidate a thumbs down. If a candidate is not qualified then that should be enough to just give a thumbs down.
There are a lot of unqualified candidates. If Workable good scan the resumes and match with the job descriptions, that would be super helpful. Given we haven't had a system like this prior to Workable, it definitely is a step in the right direction.
