Automation nothing falls through the cracks. Integration and communication with teams are great. All tasks detail is visible to anyone in the task. It is easy to catch up and see where the work is and what needs to happen to complete it.
Sometimes you need to re-do things not easy to fix some items especially recurring tasks. When you need to modify recurring tasks many times you need to end the recurrence and reprogram the entire task.
Team communication. We are not longer left in the dark as to what is happening with each of our 30 locations. We are able to see exaclty what is pending and what we need to do to keep the team on task and on time.
Wrike allows for automation for several items such as approvals, assignments, and status changes. It also allows for project transparency when managing projects.
A pitfall is there are some missing pieces in the submission form capabilities and how they sync with the resulting task/project created. Compared to other platforms, it isn't quite as visual and its layout is at times more complex to follow, but the power of the tool makes up for that.
Organizing projects and bringing clarity to who is responsible for deliverables/action items. Wrike Proof (digital markups) is a huge advantage, and so are request forms. Its reporting capabilities provide insight into how our team operates and areas for improvement.
Wrike allows us to create projects consisting of different workflows and processes. It doesn't force you to work in a specific way, but lets you work the way your business works. Furthermore, you can see all your tasks across all your projects instead of having to open up multiple project plans.
The ability to put comments on the Project level, and to comment on the individual Tasks of the project can result in updates and information getting lost in the shuffle. I wish there was a way to restrict certain aspects of the tool, so that users couldn't put information in the wrong place. The tool is incredibly flexible, which is GREAT, but there's no way to enforce conformity with our business procedures.
We have many different kinds of work, both as part of projects and as regular recurring security and regulatory compliance tasks. Wrike lets me keep track of all of this in one tool, with views and reports to see across the entire department.
The most helpful was the full onboarding process. We were able to train with a consultant as well as do interactive training on our own. I also really like the way you can customize your views to your liking. Sometimes I like to look at projects thru a to-do list- other times I can view via calender or Gannt chart with the click of a button.
In the intake from you can't have an open field in a list of bullet points. So if someone selected other - I'd want to know what the other is, but it wont allow you to have an open field in the bulleted list.
I really like the intake process for external clients and the transparency that Wrike offers so you can see what everyone on the team is working on at any given time.
What I like the most about Wrike is how customizable it is. Everyone can set up their spaces differently and still collaborate on necessary projects.
The downside is the learning curve. With every new system comes this struggle, and users coming into Wrike new are sometimes overwhelmed by the number of buttons or actions.
Before Wrike, our team didn't have a central place to keep track of assignments or progress, and Wrike has really helped us stay up to date with our team members.
Wrike strikes a good balance of being easy to use and simplifying work instead of complicating it, while still being customizable enough to fit your work processes.
It would be nice if email notifications were not sent when you've already viewed the update in Wrike itself, just to minimize the amount of email inbox clutter.
Standardizing project workflows/blueprints, tracking project milestones, email calendars
Wrike account managers and support staff are responsive and attentive The UX is relatively clean and easy to manage for people with PMS experience The main features are easy to use for basic projects/task scoping and assignment The different task/project management tools, custom workflows and fields allow for a great deal of flexibility
The cost seems high compared other PM systems, the inability to add smaller buckets of 5 or less seats at a time It's missing some automation features that would make more complex, repeated work easier Visibility on features in development isn't very clear Customization in the backend is often hard to discern between account and Space level Lack of included integration with Google Drives
Wrike fills the need for our large marketing department to have a robust PM system to manage projects and enable processes to work smoothly. Without a system like Wrike we would have difficulty managing many concurrent projects of varying complexities. We also use it for non-marketing operations that use the intake forms and task to do item managment.
Using Wrike has made our workflows even better. Wrike's automation features takes away the need to chase anyone down and give them an upodate. They automatically get a notification and can see the entire stream of updates from the beginning of the process. Our team works so much better when tasks are in Wrike.
The downside to Wrike is there not being a desktop application for it. I feel like it gets lost in my tabs and I often have 3 tabs of Wrike open. Also push notifications on your computer would be a nice feature.
Wrike is keeping all of our information in one place. Gone are the days where we would have to search through threads and threads of emails. I always know I can find the drafts and documents of truth on any Wrike task that is relevant. The search feature makes it just as easy to find a task when you might not even know the full name of it.
I love the different views that Wrike offers; whether it is the Gantt chart, dashboard, or calendar, there is always an easy way to look at your projects in a way that makes sense.
I wish there was a way to number your tickets and tasks automatically instead of manually, we currently use part of the ticket number as our number system but it has to be manually added every time.
It allows our large team to collaborate and stay on track with all projects and also is a great place to reference in the future!
