The most helpful thing or features about ZipRecruiter is that it's quick, it's fairly simple to use and once you set up your profile, you will receive numerous positions that match your skill-set. Next, once you get the various lists/notifications, there is an option to do a 1-click Apply. Who could ask for more?!
This is a tough question, as there's not too much to dislike about ZR, as it seems to find and present a candidate with lots of great job leads yet have found that like CareerBliss and JJ Jobs are also good resources when searching for a new position. My only real complaint, which I just entered on the official ZipRecruiter survey is that they seem, at least in my city or area, to list a lot of companies that are just looking for raw skill people and not those with any particular skill sets or degrees.
Currently, I don't have any problems or issues that I am solving with ZipRecruiter, as I'm still employed with the same company that I started with a year ago but am checking out local labor market ;'). The benefits I have realized with Zip is an incredible sense of competence due to how they tell you how close of a match u are to each position you apply to and, some hope or optimism from the fact that they seem to have 1000's of jobs listed every week!
Even though we get fewer candidates from ZipRecruiter than other job boards, the candidates we do get are all quality candidates. It allows us to get to a hirer much faster.
Navigation is little hard to get use to.
Hard-to-fill vacancies in a timely manner. Miguel C helped resolve my billing issues very easily.
that I can post to social media and that my job goes to multiple sites
too early for us to comment... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
needed to change location
I like that zip recruiter pairs you with the best possible candidates and doesn't wait for them to apply to your position. When we post jobs to ZipRecruiter, we oftentimes get hits right away. It seems that ZipRecruiter attracts applicants more than CareerBuilder or monster directly.
The jobs are not always up to date and often job posting are expired. The jobs they recommend for me are sometimes not accurate and I can get a request to apply for a job that is not in an area I wanted.
ZipRecruiter is a great way to get a job out there and look for new people to join your team. Within hours of posting a job, there have always been many applicants. ZipRecruiter consolidates it all into one space and allows for quick access to all applicants.
User friendly, attractive to jobseekers, proactive service
Sometimes a lack of qualified candidates, expensive/costly
Recruiting for open positions
Ease of use, distribution of jobs, the ability to have multiple brands under one account and how they build their own talent community
Customer support and pricing model. Every year they raise prices significantly and are not flexible.
job posting
Was easy to narrow pool of candidates and find who we were looking for
Was not able to easily figure out how to auto renew our services

It is expensive. Less expensive than the big job boards, but too high for small businesses. I wish they had some smaller packages.

With one posting, you can get your jobs out on over a hundred job boards, including SimplyHired, Glassdoor and the ZipRecruiter job board (which is becoming a decent board itself). To be fair, many of the 100+ job boards ZipRecruiter touts are small, niche and you've probably never heard of them, but the few big boards make it worth the price of admission. The resume database is a great tool as well, allowing you to instantly view resumes and contact information for candidates (though the new search functionality makes it a bit annoying for boolean users). The backend and administration are intuitive and it takes no time to get up and running. Another one of our favorite features is the Job Widget. The Job Widget allows you to just copy and paste a snippet of code on to your website to display all of your ZipRecruiter positions, if you're looking for a quick and easy way to get your job listings on your website, it doesn't get any quicker or easier than the Job Widget.
Once upon a time, ZipRecruiter counted Indeed among their arsenal of job boards. It was one of the factors that drew us to ZipRecruiter in the first place. However, a few years ago ZipRecruiter cut ties with Indeed. Immediately after, the quantity and quality of candidates decreased. Indeed is the largest job board/aggregator out there, so it was a huge loss. Fortunately for ZipRecruiter their service is enough of a bargain that it was worth staying on. I will say that the account managers at ZipRecruiter will constantly try and push their "TrafficBoosts" on you, which are in no way worth the asking price.
Job postings on multiple job boards, displaying open positions on our website, searching for candidates in the resume database.
Zip recruiters helps to streamline the process of finding a job by connecting the employee in need of employment or looking for potential job options a great place to look for high quality employers as well as, many different type of job opportunities.
Zip recruiters employee a platform that allows for streamlining the process of finding a job; however, some of the help wanted ads are large recruiting companies looking to build up list of potential employees without there really being any open positions. Emails with potential jobs filled with ads, making it hard to read.
The problem solved is the easy a which a employee is able to look for work in multiple fields, offer new insight into the jobs available in the market.
The best thing about ZipRecruiter is the invite to apply on job ads. It jump-starts your ability to reach candidates you think might be qualified based on a limited amount of information provided. I also like being able to add prescreening questions and being able to message candidates on the platform.
With the newest changes to ZipRecruiter, it is becoming increasingly expensive to place ads for the response rates reveived. There are repetitive sales calls and demands for follow-up calls pushing you to purchase more add ons like boosts and bigger ad packages. Now they are changing their service again and have begun charging for the invite to apply. They are making their service even more expensive for people in order actually to attract candidates. To me, they are quickly moving to a point where the value in their basic general ads and resume database is not worth the expense. Also, you get tons of candidates nowhere near qualified for the ad you placed in both applicants and suggested applicants to invite to apply. So, in summary, you now need to purchase a package (averaging over $100-$125/per job slot per month) then pay for invites to apply, job boosts ($120-$220 per job and are limited to 100 or 200 extra candidates), and additional resume database if needed over the basic amount that comes with your package.
I use ZipRecruiter because it does reach a broader audience than other job boards, but because of the negatives listed, I am looking for alternatives.
The boost feature was very helpful. I was able to find an employee with ease.
I dislike the many additional charges in each post.
I have been able to find a reliable employee to work for me.
I like how easy you can Zip. It is very well made and built. It moves fast and yields great results.
What I dislike is how hard it is to search for a candidate. If i saw resume and for some reason moved on and now i want to go back, i look by name and i get candidates with completely different names. Their search engine could be improved.
Zip has resulted in great candidates for me to place. It is very convenient and offers multiple methods for contact.
I like that we are able to review candidates resumes and rate them. This allows for the flow of more qualified applicants. I think this would be ideal for companies or employers that are seeking to find applicants with certain qualifications and experience. I loved the ease of posting a job...It was super easy!
I do find that ZipRecruiter wasn't the best at finding people in remote areas but this may also not be ziprecruiters fault. I do not think Zip is the most cost efficient way to recruit for what I needed. For my company, we were looking for seasonal part time workers that don't need very niche experiences.
We are able to find few applicants in areas that we had no applicants in other job search engines such as Indeed or Craigslist. I do see that ZipRecruiter would be beneficial when we are searching for a manager or upper level positions that we have available.
I found that the recommendations where's spot on comparatively speaking to other job sites.
There were quite a few gimmicks and bogus job posting
I haven't experienced any problems so far
Find good work with Good salary and good place for my family
Not respect and late salary ..no insurance
More easy find work
It has good jobs in a wide area.its application process is easy to use once you get it set up.
Some jobs that aren't pertinent show up. Some jobs that are too far away show up.
I haven't found a job yet.
I like the ease of navagating the site. It is very user friendly and easy to understand. I also like that you only pay as you need the services you can pay for a month and then you can stop until you have open position again.
I didn't like that there is only one user login name and password per company. Which means if the admissions has an opening and financial aid has opening as well they both are using the same login information to view potential candidates.
Ability to cut time in finding right person for the position. This cuts down on having to go through many applicants that are just not qualified for position. Saves time and ability to hire much quicker
