Adobe Dreamweaver Reviews: 4.1/5 — Solid Choice

Dreamweaver was the basic application to develop HTML since much years ago, it's a reference. On of the best things, which is what I value most is the possibility of has the code in one side and the preview of the website in the other side, its really handy.

You need basic knowledge to start to using it. With "the mouse" just you can do a few options, and the rest you need to write the code. Apart Adobe Dreamweaver adds some parts of code that is not needed.

Basically I edit all websites from clients with this program. Also in new websites developed by content managers (CMS) its useful to edit some parts of the web with better WYSWYG that includes the normal CMS.

I love the text editor on Dreamweaver because it has alerts when tags are missing by showing invalid message. I like to see the html and the design side by side when I work on a project.

I dislike the auto tags sometime. When I type in a open tag, it automatically creates the closing tag when I don't need it yet.

Creating html files. Benefits are seeing the code and design side by side helps with workflow.

Ease of use. Slick interface and easy to find tools and features. Everything is very organized.

Honestly there is not much I don't like about Dreamweaver. It's a very cool program that I use a lot.

I am able to update my own website and not rely on outside developers.

That I can build amazing sites with Dreamweaver. I use the WYSIWYG platform (what you see is what you get) . I find that Dreamweaver is easy to use. There are so many tutorials on the web that it makes learning easy. I love that I can put the live version of my page next to the code so I can see what the page looks like as I'm editing.

Something I do have to be aware of using Dreamweaver is that sometimes using WYSIWYG can add code that I don't want. I just have to make sure to keep an eye on it.

I have been using Adobe Dreamweaver for years and it is my go-to solution for web design.

La gran cantidad de herramientas disponibles para realizar un sitio web forma rápida y sencilla incluso sin conocimiento de código html o css. La capacidad de crear sitios web locales. Poder ver en vivo lo que programas que en html o css. Un gran entorno en el trabajar. Por eso y mas lo considero el mejor programa para desarrollar sitios web.

Realmente no hay nada de lo que pueda quejar y si lo hay solo seria su precio un poco alto.

En nuestra empresa nos vemos en la necesidad de crear sitios web y este software ayuda con esta función.

If you are used to Adobe products the look and feel is the same or very similar in all their products.

Es muy potente y junto con la combinación de otras herramientas del pack adobe te permite hacer auténticas obras de arte marcando la diferencia.

Es un programa a parte y actualmente se usa la edición de webs y creación en entorno web no con programas instalados en PC por norma general.

Nos permitió maquetar varias webs para clientes por encargo quedando bastante profesionales.

Me encanta que tengan mantenido Dreamweaver para usuarios avanzados y no intentado hacerlo útil para iniciantes ocultando / dificultando el acceso a herramientas avanzadas a usuarios ya acostumbrados con el programa, todo lo que necesitas está a 2 clicks de distancia y la edición es bastante rápida en el. También nos encanta lo limpio que hace los códigos al utilizar la edición WYSIWYG, que no se compara a otras alternativas como el Adobe Muse, de dónde puedes esperar un código extremadamente complejo aunque hagas una página sencilla. Sendo el lider del mercado, igual que con Photoshop y tantos otros programas de Adobe, puedes esperar que seas el programa con mejor soporte, lo que facilita el aprendizaje, pero aun así, no esperen ser un programa fácil de utilizar (más detalles en la sección de lo que no me gusta), Dreamweaver es un programa bastante complejo que exige bastante conocimiento de HTML antes de poder ser utilizado.

La verdad es que no tengo ninguna queja de Dreamweaver, es excelente, pero le faltan templates y muestras de código, estaría bien incluir una biblioteca ya que eso reduciría la curva de aprendizaje y permitirá a usuarios nuevos empezar a usarlo más rápidamente. Dreamweaver no es un programa apto para usuarios iniciantes.

La creación y mantenimiento de nuestra página web está toda hecha con Dreamweaver, y haremos la nueva en el también.

What I love most about Adobe Dreamweaver is its ability to bring Photoshop to life. I also love that I can copy stuff from webpages like photo galleries with text and paste it into Dreamweaver and it takes care of the code for me.

What I dislike is also what I like - the learning curve because there are boundless opportunities and it takes a while to master.

Como muchos programas de adobe, Dreamweaver es el estándar de la industria para la edición HTML, sus actualizaciones frecuentes te aseguran que siempre tiene compatibilidad con los estándares más recientes y Bootstrap (4.0 en la versión más actual) que le permite desarrollar páginas web receptivas para dispositivos móviles con una industria marco estándar ... sin duda una potencia de HTML5 que más que vale su inversión. También es una ventaja que, al ser un líder de la industria, la cantidad de material de aprendizaje y el contenido del foro para este producto es enorme, lo que facilita cualquier transición.

Es un poco difícil de navegar al principio porque no todo está delante de ti como en las opciones del menú. también debe conocer el lenguaje HTML y CSS antes de usarlo, por lo que es importante que vea videos. Además, no pierdas tu paciencia mientras trabajas en él, lo que hace que un sitio web sea difícil. Si estás acostumbrado a usar cosas como Sublime, entonces estarás bien. Cuando comencé a usar el programa, aprendí los conceptos básicos y eso todavía era difícil, así que esfuerzate..., también te muestra una descripción general de los elementos del menú. Tener que volver a revisar todo es un poco difícil, pero con la práctica todo mejora.

Uso el programa para modificar textos y la web de la empresa en la que trabajo, el área logística de la web la diseño yo con Adobe Dreamweaver.

The ease of use. Makes any user feel like a pro!

The software is a bit pricey especially after it's popularity it seems.

I no longer had to use websites that create the website, instead I could use dreamweaver in sync with the campus server and be happy with the original creativity.

I always appreciate the convenience of a WYSIWYG, when it comes to rapid prototyping. It's especially great when you don't want to develop a full-blown (complex) web solution, but also need more control than what Adobe Muse offers.

When I use it on my computer, it noticeably slows things down while it fires up. After it finishes starting up, it's okay. Aside from that, there's a bit of a learning curve for the uninitiated, and advanced developers will find themselves pining for a more robust IDE.

When I need to prototype something fast, and not just a mockup - this is my go-to. I can put things together in a pinch, and split design allows me to monitor my changes in real-time without any extra steps.

I like the user experience and user interface

Absolutely nothing, Dreamweaver is a perfect product for me.

I solved a lot them mainly my workflow. Improved efficiency.

I liked that I could customize my website my specifications. I was able to create a colorful and user friendly website for customers. I found the software to have very sophisticated features which provided an opportunity to enhance my website design skills. I learned a ton about coding for websites and how to assemble that would be user friendly to visitors of my site. Overall, I would highly recommend Adobe Dreamweaver to other users for creating a website with enhanced quality.

This is a great program to use for HTML documents. My primary use is creating email content, and the split view is a great tool.

Occasionally the program doesn't update the preview automatically.

This is great for email content and better than using a drag and drop tool that doesn't allow for total control.

I was fairly new to website developing. So far created websites with the only webbuilder from wix.com. However I want to seriously develop great websites for my projects. it is possible to do that with dreamweaver, it was easy just learning how the software works. I was able to create some great designs

Not much that I disliked, that being said If you are serious about developing great websites; there are no shortcuts. Photoshop is the standard for graphics. HTML & CSS are the foundation of all websites. Learn those things + a bit of JavaScript, jQuery and PHP and you will be well on your way.

i was using this tool to build short promotional websites for resident events and clients, it's great especially for a designer taking on larger projects that they might not have been exposed to during undergrad. also being able to integrate other resources from creative suite makes it great to find creative ways to meet the needs of your clients

Manage sites capabilities is great for a development environment so that code can be tested locally before pushing live with just a click of a button.

I don't really dislike anything about Dreamweaver. The only comment that I can think to put here is that there's a fairly significant learning curve for Dreamweaver and it's designed for developers, not folks who are looking to make quick code hacks or modifications.

It is very good you can create tables, edit frames, work with layers, insert JavaScript behaviors, in a very simple and visual way. When we use Dreamweaver to create a web page it automatically inserts the tags needed to build the page with the look and feel defined in the image editor. It can be used by any user, without being professional. It allows the use of extensions, which are small programs that any user can write, download and install, offering added functionalities to the application, supporting the World Wide Web Consortium standards and using web technology such as CSS and Java Script.

Without a doubt, the only thing that is unfavorable about this program is its price, which is very high compared to other similar software.

This program helped me enormously as I learned how to create a website, improving my creativity and increasing my curiosity to use all the tools of this web designer, but it is more useful to be able to design my own website with everything I wanted to put in it. If you are a beginner, internet is a great help, since there are tutorials where you can learn in a very detailed way how to create a website and how to use the other Adobe applications that can be added to our website.

I love the simplicity of having split screens with design and html. It took a few weeks to learn but once you get the hang of it, it's very intuitive.

It isn't the most user friendly. There is an initial learning curve. The cost can be a little high especially since they rolled out the cloud versus buying the software outright.

Helping create and edit websites in HTML

At Adobe Dreamweaver I like the most the fact that is very intuitive and it has the split window view to help you code and see the result without saving and reopen the page in a browser. For a web designer is an important feature even if you know very well to code because you can see in real time how the page will look and also gives you the opportunity to modify anything that does not fit in your design. Also if you do not know to code very well, Adobe Dreamweaver has some very intuitive features that allows you to speed up the process and not worry about a tag you do not remember.

I do not have anything particular that I dislike at Adobe Dreamweaver but if I can do something to improve the software, maybe I would integrate it with different e-commerce platforms. That is the only thing I think Adobe did not consider and especially with the e-commerce industry growing, they need to integrate it in a way.

The most important problem I solved using Adobe Dreamweaver is that you can easily reduce the time you spend on editing the design and coding in the same time. If you can see in real time what your code looks like, that gives you the opportunity to change or to improve it without losing too much time.

Perfect PHP and HTML support, excellent site management and server control, with lighting speed.

Only the annual subscription plan is problematic for users which make sites for low price or in small annual volume.

Excellent integration with server (apach or windows), and numerous preprogrammed routines speed up making of new sites.

What I like most about this software is the possibility of generating code easily. This is a great advantage especially for designers or people who are not closely linked to software development. The tool of visaulzar in real time changes, is also very helpful, since it allows to go visualizing what is working.

Because it has so many options, it is a bit heavy, it may take a while to load. Being so extensive, learning to use it correctly can take a long time. It could have a greater degree of integration with other products of the Adobe family, this would make it more comfortable to work with the entire Suite.

With dreamweaver I have developed multiple web solutions, from static pages of informative type, to dynamic solutions that incorporate functions in PHP, such as sending forms, registers, etc. Unlike other applications, Dreamweaver allows me to automate many tasks that would be manual with other software.

I like the freedom of flow when it comes to Dreamweaver. It's my go to when creating HTML and HTML 5 websites.

Not too much to dislike. I'm pretty good with the software.

Quick webpages that need to go up or really quick sales funnel pages. This has been easy to do with Dreamweaver.

This was immensely helpful when learning web design. It was cool to see my work in action and also be able to correct mistakes right away!!

Would like to see better templates for email that can get through corporate email filters that toss out CSS and pictures.

Building and editing websites from templates saves tons of time and allows me to focus on the design, look and feel rather than coding. But Dreamweaver allows me to get into the code and tweak things as needed.

I love that Dreamweaver is extremely user friendly.

I had very slight difficulty navigating around at first due to all of the options but it's very easy to learn!

We are increasing customer drive by creating web content.

I'm glad there's a program that saves me time and effort, most likely anyone Dreamweaver that has an intermediate skill set uses it because of its ease-of-use, UI, end ability to quickly locate syntax errors as opposed to coding from scratch.

I honestly can't say there's anything that I dislike about Dreamweaver.

We use Dreamweaver to code our emails that go out to all of our constituents.

Dreamweaver is easy to use. It gives you the ability to not have to rely completely on HTML coding. It has an easy trial and error system when creating templates.

I dislike the menus. It is sometimes very hard to find specific features or tools.

By using dreamweaver to create web based projects it has helped marketing strategies in Marketing and Advertising.

I absolutely LOVE that you do not have to be a master at HTML or CSS and you can build a website like you are! The visual integration of your site, live, really helps as well as encourages learning or basic and advanced HTML.

I wish there was perhaps a little more help or guidance when it came to the part where you host the website, but this is hardly something I dislike, I truly love Dreamweaver.

Dreamweaver helps me make my websites look clean and professional and really legitimizes me as a business owner!
