Compare Adobe Premiere Pro with other popular tools in the same category.
This software is really complete, you can almost handle everything (video, music, sound, color...) with a lot of effects for the sound, and the image, you don't need to use others softwares if you're doing a basic video.
I would like the colorist part to be more complete, like Davinci Resolve and also the sound part, with more effects and modifications available like in GarageBand
As a filmmaker, I use Adobe Premiere Pro since 10 years now, and I always edited my videos (wedding, music video, advertising) with this software. It's easy to use (once you know it), you can almost do everything with it.
I spent my entire 20's using Final Cut Pro as I lived in my Apple world. Recently when I switched positions, I started using the Adobe suite of products. Adobe Premiere is the video software of choice and I was a little nervous about changing. However, I was happily surprised that the switch was very simple. I was quickly finding myself at home with all my video projects.
I wish I was able to do more graphics wise with Premiere but with the creative cloud I have After Effects and that satisfies most of my needs.
I have realized that this is possible the easiest professional video editing software i've ever used. After using it for about a year, I don't know if I could go back to Final Cut. Gasp.
First Instructions are easy to understand and it doesn't take long to get a personal workflow in cutting and editing in general!
It sometimes crashes when as an example a lot of footage is imported.
As I mentioned, once you get a nice workflow for yourself, i benefit from the eas of use.
I love the fast array of features! The number of features that once confident with the program is awesome! The features enabled me to edit short clips to create professional-looking intros in the comfort of my own home!
As with Photoshop, there is a big learning curve which you have to get over before you can become comfortable with the program. This one (for me anyway) required a lot more time compared to Photoshop to get used to as there are more features
Premier Pro is definitely a big upgrade from Windows movie maker which was my go-to in the past. The biggest benefits are the sheer amount of features that are available to all the users at such as reasonable price. In terms of problem-solving it has allowed me to make intros for various websites which I am creating and editing.
The way it streamlines our workflow and integrates with other Adobe software. There are always upgrades which add some new powerful functions which make the product feel value for money. It is the industry-standard software which is commonly used by production houses all over the world. Meaning we can work remotely with collaborators in other countries to work on specific projects. Having used the software for well over 10 years now I feel that I know it inside out, and all the shortcuts are baked into my muscle memory meaning that editing is quick and easy.
Slow render times and some integrations with 3rd parties. Not a huge fan of the monthly subscription model but understand why companies do it. The advantage is also then having access to the software in the entire suite. I have had a few issues with the general support of the software, having spent hours online with the support team and giving them access to my computer they still can't work out what the problem is which is frustrating.
Video production workflow and keeping things in one software without having to use too many others. This improves our overall productivity and therefore profits as a company. With improvements to the Lumetri colour panel no longer need to use other software.
Easy to understand and complete basic tasks, yet advanced enough to handle complex needs
sometimes too complicated, easy to make mistakes that take a long time to correct
Creating video content is a breeze
I use premiere pro for editing videos and it is really easy to use
Once in a while the software crashes and all my work would be lost
Editing videos
I like that it’s very organized and easy
The app crashing a lot? Not sure why it
Sometimes it crashes when you’re doing an important video. It’s a lot faster and easier than final cut though.
The learning curve isn't too steep and it's pretty straightforward to use.
I really with the color adjustment tools were more similar to Lightroom. Premiere really seems to adjust the film oddly.
I use it to create all my videos and it does so very well.
The ease of use to cut and splice video together is great. It's simple to combine audio and video and make adjustments.
The software isn't great for much else other than editing. Even making simple title cards or captions can be very tedious and the workflow isn't great. If I'm doing anything other than splicing, I export my work to After Effects.
I'll make foundations for videos/ads/films in Premiere. It has an easy workflow for simple cuts.
I love how easy it is to make promo videos for my work. I adore making videos and this is the perfect software to do so.
I do not like the price. It is a little much for me at this time in my life.
Being able to capture special moments and put together perfect montages.
Adobe has made a significant effort to create Adobe Creative Cloud and make it available in the Adobe Premiere suite of software, which is nothing more than professional editing software, very useful for professionals working in audiovisual editing. With Adobe Premiere you can edit in the video, images, colors, effects, sounds, extracts of other videos and link them in one, without losing the quality in the assembly of the video. This software has shown year after year that it is one of the best software for video editing as it incorporates new updates, which reinforce the old structure and functions of the software. Another great positive aspect of this software is that you can correct audio errors and audio noise in the video, improving the quality of the product you are making. You can also incorporate to your editable animations editions, it has one of the best resolutions for editing, ensuring visual quality, and you can integrate other Adobe tools to make editing your videos much more professional.
Being beta versions, the updates of this software always come in test phases, presenting some flaws in the operation of these updates. What I always recommend is to update the software after it passes its testing phase, as bugs are corrected.
Adobe Premiere is the software that has given me the best results in my work. Thanks to the immense work done by Adobe, I can enjoy the best software for video editing. With this software the final result of my editions enjoy an excellent quality, making me worthy of recognitions and awards from the television company where I work. Adobe Premier has made me an exceptional worker and one of the best audiovisual publishers in the company where I work.
I like its easy handling to make audiovisual works
I have not had any problem with the program
I use premiere pro to make audiovisual works to different clients and it is an income more
Having started with avid I then switched to FCP but the second I started Premiere I was hooked. By far my favorite software out there. Easy to use for the most basic of edits to feature films and documentaries. Must have.
There’s really nothing to dislike, however upgrades could be made in the pricing/subscription structure.
Have made my workflow in brining in photoshop files seamless.
The intuitive but efficient system of video editing, the various effects and the wide choice of settings. Besides, it's an Adobe program, so it's compatible with all the other "creative cloud" softwares, and this is a very useful thing.
I had some problems with the audio-video synchronizing, but I think it's a singular case. Anyway, I had almost no problems.
I used Premiere Pro for fun and job. I like to edit videos and I opened recently a YouTube channel, where I published videos made with the aforesaid software.
Just as I said in my review of Photoshop, Premiere has a universality to it that makes it immediately appealing. Almost every filmmaker I correspond with uses it which makes it valuable on top of the quality of the program itself.
Recently there have definitely been some performance issues that I know I'm not alone in sharing. My computer is almost fully speced out and we've been having a lot of trouble with renders, frame rate, the program crashing, and lots of mac ballooning. It seems to be with the 2019 version of Premiere but I'm hopeful that Adobe will rectify these issues as they have in the past. It's just frustrating for now.
Premiere has been fantastic for my work. I've totally learned film editing from ground up utilizing this program alone which has been a blessing. The work flow of Premiere is easy to learn for me as I use other Adobe programs so the transition to this has been pretty smooth so far. I have yet to get into After Effects but I also feel confident that I could if the situation arises in the future.
Very high-quality effects, as well as super responsive. Has a lot of features that other programs don't. Makes for very professional editing capabilities. It requires practice, but when you get into it, there's nothing better. The program gives you so many creative opportunities and possibilities because of the plugins and different add-ons give you even more, just awesome.
The price might affect some peoples' opinion on it. Crashes almost never happen. RAM gets used a lot, but I have a decent PC. That's it, everything else; flawless.
This program makes videos and production look very, very professional and clean. The edited videos look very pleasing and good. The program almost never crashes and you never get corrupted files. It is really good for anyone looking for a good video editor. It has limitless possibilities unlike most of the other editing programs. Plugins expand it's possibilities even further if the basic tools aren't enough. Most of them are free, so you won't have trouble dealing with that. Every effect can be made to fit the type of the video you are trying to edit, and can be manipulated to look really good no matter the environment.
Great, easy to use program for all your video creating, editing needs. Has so much to offer to create any digital masterpieces!
May definitely seem overwhelming to use because there are so many features, but once you understand the basics, it is easy to get a hang of. It is intimidating for a first time user, but its best to just ease yourself in to it and immerse and embrace the program yourself.
Helped to better our digital and social media solutions - creating videos and digital posts for social media content. Keeping us up to date in the digital marketing world.
I know how to navigate and get around the software. I've always used FCP, but switched over and it's really similar.
There are things that aren't the same as FCP and I'm still getting used to that.
I use it to edit promotional videos everyday for my boss and the company
I have Premiere Pro as a part of my Creative Cloud package. I feel like I am saving a bunch of money because I do not have to buy all of the software I need separately. It's way above the stuff you can get for free that comes with your computer or the basic editing tools on YouTube. If you are a pro, you need Premiere Pro. I like how many tutorials there are too online (I used to have to buy books back in the day.)
Sure, it would be cool if Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and AfterFX were all combined. But they are such beasts already, this is an elegant solution.
I shoot multi-cam live events and I was unable to edit them side by side with Sony Vegas, so I switched to Premiere Pro.
From it's organization, affordability, and powerful tools Adobe Premiere Pro is the go too software for any pro editor
Since moving to the cloud subscription model the software has issues with being buggy and crashes from time to time during mid edit
This software is out go to video editor. Any video projects that come in get processed and created in premiere
Premiere Pro picks up her final cut seven left off. The new update is great for titles, and I love multi cam Editing.
I wish I could alter titles within the timeline and it wouldn’t affect the title in the bin. Would save a lot of time
Speeding up post production
As with any other adobe product, it's integration with the rest of the creative cloud is key to the way I work. It has large studio backing behind it, as well, and not just the YouTube community--Deadpool, for example, was edited in Premiere. It takes all the standard features from any other beginner video editing software, and multiplies them by ten, adding more and more functionality to each and every button.
It's workspace management is frustrating, as you can often have a ton of windows open in order to get any work done. And, for different features, you have to rearrange the whole interface in order to access them.
For my game studio, Premiere pro is what we use to craft the perfect trailer for all our games. It has all the features we could ever need, and it makes it super easy to import screen recordings of gameplay for use in the trailers.
The new titling system for Adobe Premiere is much more advanced than the previous version. I like that you can do titling and editing all in one program now.
I do wish the titling system integrated a few more advanced motion features as I still have to go to AfterEffects for a few projects.
We are able to quickly and easily product professional videos for use on web, broadcast, and DVD's.
I like how the software is easy to maneuver and there are so many help videos on how to learn it yourself
It is not as precise as some other editing programs I have used
Creating good quality videos to publish for our company
