Great for headless CMS implementation. It's been around for years and they are always evolving it
If I had wrote this review a few years ago I would have had lots to say, but recently, there isn't much I dislike about the product these days.
Clients who need their content readily available online
Agility CMS is fluid and the learning curve is easy to pick up on. The layout and where to find pages, assets, and code, makes it fast to locate what you need to find. The customer service is top-notch as well!
Agility CMS creates a gap between developers and digital marketers. It's great if you know HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but to tap into more advanced coding to create more dynamic pages, it would require some assistance on developers' end.
Agility CMS allows us to manage our content with ease. With a robust business, we have to be organized as we generate tons of content on a daily basis. Agility CMS makes it easy for us to manage everything in one spot.
It was easy to get set up and easy to use. I was able to create a basic page template and get a web site up in a matter of hours. Creating content definitions and modules for maintaining your website data is also really simple. If you need more complex data types features like Custome Fields you can create whatever you need.
I wouldn't say this is necessarily a dislike, but it would be nice if creating content for a dynamic page was done in a way that was similar to the module structure of a static page.
It has made the easier for data creators and designers to work more independently on our site.
Main PRO for me is Page Management and Modules feature, other headless CMSs don’t offer this and it is critical for us, it allows marketing team and users to create what they need but under certain control of development team. It saves time for developers because we need only to develop a few page templates for each project, and then marketing team can be as creative as they need to be with page variations. It is a win win.
They were historically .NET which was not ideal but now they are embracing JAMStack which is very cool. Also, there is some room for improvement related to a user experience of the content manager. But I can see they make updates on the platform very often, coming up with cool features and improvement on the design.
Before Agility we were using wordpress to manage our website and internal portal. But we had too much problems security related because of the plugin breaches on wordpress. So we rebuilt our channels and decide to use a more secure and stable platform as Agility. So far, the platform is working very well for us, and the content manage is way more easy and organized now.
Agility CMS is an easy way to display information about a wide variety of programs with its module setup.
As with any CMS, there are a few bugs that come up with Agility when building or editing pages. But the support has been helpful so far making this a less frequent occurrence.
We are solving the problem of how to launch a new website that will be beautiful and informative to our customers. We have not launched yet, but I look forward to seeing our web traffic increase after doing so.
After their new update Agility dashboard has improved so much, I think it is easier to use. I love how you have pre-built modules that let you post your information in an easy way. You can also schedule publications and it helps a lot with SEO.
It was kinda difficult to use at first but it has improved on that regard, also there's an annoying delay when you override documents on the CMS.
I'm managing three different websites inside the same dashboard, it has helped me improve SEO and I can have full control of everything that happens on the websites.
It's very intuitive, very easy to use and easy to verify the changes before synchronizing them against the published site
The search can get a bit of improvement, probably searching into specific keywords within the content.
Changing content every week is definitely our main end user goal
Reduce the amount of work, when compared to our previous CMS tool. Also, caching clears in an instant when I hit publish. No need for me to do it manually.
Managing each site as a container is good but when comes to providing control for users at deeper level, it feels Agility is missing that granularity.
Content publishing in an instant. Benefits in managing time.
I love the huge amount of prebuilt tools it offers me so I can design my web the way I want it to look, it helps that you don't need a lot of coding knowledge to use it. It also has a great files system.
It could be pretty hard in the beginning so there should be a friendlier way to organize its dashboard. It can be also expensive to modify the way some sections looks because it does not give you an easy way to do it.
It really helps with SEO and the staging links are such an amazing way to show your clients the way a page will look once published. I'm managing a blog and a webpage with it.
I love about agility that it has everything you need to make your website work, its panel has good functionalities that help you build easily whatever you need. It also let's you make a page not public without having to lose its content, and the staging links are such an awesome way to wait for clients approval. File management is super easy and helpful as a hosting/uploading tool local to our web pages. And the clone option for full pages or just modules really makes doing repetitive work like product pages faster.
I would like to have more control over the header and footer since it is kinda hard to update, and additional changes require more costs that sometimes are not possible. It also is not really intuitive or easy to use for beginners, so I'd love and easier interface.
It really helps with SEO and you don't have to worry about keeping the backend updated since it does it for you. Managing websites that don't require a really articulate visual design can be done fast and easy with agility.
