being able to have the "in person" opportunity with people who are far away
the volume through my computer can be too low, and so I use both the phone for sound and the computer for video
I manage staff in 12 offices across the state and BlueJeans helps me conduct lots of meetings about serious stuff without driving hours on end. It is hard to do a multi person meeting where you are trying to collaborate over the phone. I like to see the face of the person I am talking to in order to get no verbal feedback. The benefits are time, money, and getting stuff done.
Video and screen sharing and chatting on the application.
application seems to be working better on mac than on Windows. Also, the audio isn't always good.
Collaborating with remote colleagues.
I like the flexibility of having the platform on mobile devices so I can engage in meetings when I'm not at my office or my primary work computer.
I dislike dialing into a meeting only to experience technical problems, most frequently audio issues. I've had a handful of experiences in the past month or so where the audio drops as soon as the two meeting parties connect.
The best business problem being solved is the ability to save money by using BlueJeans instead of traveling for meetings.
Many things in BlueJeans make it superior to others. Especially the ease with which it can be made available with a simple link onto mobile devices, where they can even see screen share too. Excellently designed.
Need to provide an option to see to view recorded videos in app than to login to website.
Multiple people with varied time zones can be assembled with this. No need to switch on a laptop or dial in to be a part of it.
Two things, the intuitive user interface and the awesome Dolby-enable sound experience.
Having to open the side panel to see who is on the call; I wish there was an option for a semi-transparent overlay roster of participants that I could position anywhere on the screen.
Sharing network maps, achieving better communication than telephone calls and reducing travel.
While Blue Jeans is a robust software for audio/video conferencing, it is simple to use.
It would be great if there were a few more view options when sharing content. I'd like to be able to see the attendees while sharing my screen.
BlueJeans gives me the opportunity to share important updates with my store leaders. It allows me to distribute the same message to each individual without worry of the message being diluted or edited during an email, phone call, or text. The video portion allows me to verify that attendees are engaged and not just "in the room."
The Integration with Outlook feels seamless. The new UI is so simple and easy to use.
Like any web conference system, customers sometimes have trouble joining meetings for various reasons. I've not seen any consistent issues. I wish that I could manage my recordings and meeting preferences directly from the desktop app.
We have teams of people working remotely around the world. BlueJeans helps us feel connected!
I enjoy the feature of sharing your screen and chatting while in a group call. It is helpful to access the conference call via phone without video chatting.
It would be great if there is a louder indication when someone has joined the call. Sometimes it is hard to notice when someone has joined the call. I think it would great to make it a little louder. Also, I struggle with having my audio and screen mute, but able to hear everyone else. In the past I would want to join the call with my microphone and video muted and would not be able to hear others.
Provides a great platform to talk with partners and team members.
Design Tools Share screen Chat Interaction with others Clarity in conversations Ease of creating meetings Always available Mobile app
Unstable internet connection Slow video in screen sharing mode Recording does not work all the time Audio quality Limit of users in video call
BlueJeans permits me connect with others business partner and colleagues. My team is composed of more than 30 people in eleven states of the country and we provide services for more than 3000 workers. So, this technological platform is very simple, easy, and complete for my daily business.
I like that it's really easy to set up and works well with Outlook calendar.
There isn't anything in particular that I can think of. It works well for us!
We're a global business, so this tool allows us to communicate regularly and clearly with our other markets. It's easy to set up, use, and is friendly by converting to local time zones and works well with Outlook.
I do not need to be present / a moderator in order for the meeting to start. It is very easy for candidates to meet speak to the interview team.
Sometimes when you dial-in through the phone, the phone will hang up. It is difficult to hear the people on the other line and I need to log out and dial back in.
Interviewers will need to dial-back into the call because they have been logged off. Benefits is that it is an easy download (which only takes two minutes) and the interface is very user friendly.
Out of the meeting apps it has proven to be the most stable and easier to connect to. I like the integration with outlook, the ability to record and share recordings a lot.
Sometimes you have to leave and return to solve audio/video issues, but not often. Would be nice to have a template for notes and to make it easier to share control of mouse/keyboard when sharing display. Issues connecting for developers from India.
Daily meetings with regional teams in Latin America and India, between 30mins and 2 hours. Multiple benefits as mentioned, outlook integration, video calling, easy to jump on a bridge
BlueJeans is simple to use with an attractive interface. The system is intuitive and our people enjoy using it. Having the hardware and system ready to go in the meeting rooms and board rooms removes any barriers to adoption. When we installed BlueJeans the system at our Sydney Head Office, it was so intuitive to use that people started using it between our Sydney and Wellington offices before any official launch or announcement by the IT department. This has enabled us to reduce our travel expenditure and has assisted us towards improving our environmental impact metrics with the reduction of travel.
There is nothing that I dislike about the application. The solution works really well and met or exceeded our business requirements. The only thing that I would mention is that playing videos over the system is not the greatest. It's not a bandwidth issue from our office to the internet. The videos can be laggy, even when playing from a laptop to a screen in the same room over the local network. This is videos on youtube or videos that are embedded in powerpoint presentations.
We were having issues with collaboration between our international offices. With the bluejeans system in place in rooms ready to go we have increased inter-office collaboration and we have reduced expenditure on travel. Having clear conferencing facilities with our other offices, clients and prospective customers has been excellent, and a much better experience than Skype for Business.
Quality and user interface, phone, video and screenshare
Would love markup tools for screenshares
Remote work, I work from home and with a globally distributed team, frequent calls and screenshares are required to stay in touch, the video touch helps with personal connections as well.
I love that you can change your number to your cell phone number and it's pretty easy to remember and share your meeting link. I work with a remote team so I use BlueJeans frequently for virtual meetings and trainings. I also really like that you can record a meeting. This comes especially handy when doing virtual trainings as you can share the link to the training if a person wasn't able to attend the training and they can watch later.
I don't have any features I dislike so far.
Easy to join a meeting when you have 30+ remote interns. I've gotten better connection than any other service I've used in the past.
It's fun and easy to use. We are able to communicate across the region.
China couldn't access it well. There was some difficulty with Malaysia too.
Reviewing data across Asia. It was easy to share my screen and we were able to discuss the data presented.
brady bunch view of all people on conference call makes it easy for a disperse team to interface.
difficult to switch audio/video connections
ability to better connect with my remote staff. makes distance disappear
I've been using BlueJeans for work and it's so intuitive and easy to use. What I most like about it is how robust it is, by this I mean the features it offers to use A/V equipment from conference rooms, external, mobile phones, PC, etc. One of the most often used features that I use is recording meetings and it's really nice to be walking back to my office and the link for the stream will be available right then and there.
I don't really dislike anything currently offered by BlueJeans. If I'm being picky, I think that the U/X could be improved a bit.
I currently use it to troubleshoot client issues on their computers, record meetings, and share those meetings with the rest of my workplace.
Sidebar view of participants with functionality to mute etc
That it's not obvious how to add an email-like-message to the initial invite.
Qualifying large prospects to initiate complex solutions across borders without leaving our desks.
Integration with Outlook on OSX and Windows, the ability to dial into a meeting using one-click on the app, and the audio/video quality.
Longer session video conferences cause significant battery drain and heat up my Macbook.
Video conferencing that's simple and just works.
