What I love about chatter is being able to speak with patients or answer any questions the patients may have. We would use chatter on Salesforce for patients in rehabilitation centers who had questions about bills or just over all needs.

Easy, precise, also alerts your email when there is activity. I love that you feel you can chatter anyone even if they are a manager or someone on campus.
At first you think it is not necessary because you can use gchat or send an email but it is very useful. In addition to it being more professional then a side chat.

The best thing that I like about Chatter is that you get an email notification when someone tags your name in a case that you submitted in SF, so you are aware as to where the case is in the process.
The only thing I dislike about Chatter is that if you do not tag someone's name then they do not get notified that you commented in the feed.
I currently do not have any problems with Chatter, but it has amazing benefits in regards so notifying me when there is a new comment in my feed.
