When I first started using Dropbox it was simple and worked well sharing files across three computers.
About a year after starting to use DB I found that the files didn't always sync to each of the PC's I was using. It became very complicated.

Very little. My subcontractors use the product. Otherwise, I would not use the product ever.
Functionality, product support, etc. This is not intuitive at all! I do not recommend.

There is not much to say for advantages of WordPress, other than its syncing capabilities of its desktop application. I would more likely use dropbox as a syncing tool rather than Google Drive, because most of google drive's syncing are just links to google docs, which is useless when I do not have an internet connection. It's features of tracking revisions however should not be ignored. It is one of the attracting features that distinguishes itself from Google Drive, which does not support revisions on file types other than google docs/sheets/slides.
The extremely limited storage is one of the major factors I do not use dropbox very often. It's 2GB limit is very small and hard to find a use for (photo resolutions are getting bigger and bigger, taking up much space), especially when Google offers free photo storage if it is compressed. One other thing is that dropbox cannot be used for real time collaborative editing, therefore, one usually will not use dropbox as a tool for group projects.
I use dropbox to sync some casual documents that are required for many of my computers, due to its extremely small storage. I take advantage of its syncing system which is in my opinion better than market alternatives to sync to many of my computers.
