Creating websites for small businesses
I had been waiting for something like Duda for years. And when I stumbled across their drag and drop platform, I felt I had struck gold! Having been in agency world for a couple years using Drupal and Wordpress (also studying Squarespace and Wix), I couldn't believe something as simple to use as Duda finally existed. The creative process is much more fluid than any other web builder and the developer team is incredibly helpful at finding solutions fast! I can't imagine using any other service to build websites.
The only downside is that some minor bugs appear in Flex Mode (beta). However, the team can find solutions exceptionally quickly. And out of all honesty, I'd rather deal with that than your typical CMS. I like to keep Duda as my golden web-building secret.
Duda saves me time from going back and forth between the backend of a CMS into preview mode. I get the site to look the way I want in an amount of time that seems effortless. Plus, their templates consistently keep up with design trends, and their educational info is always current. It's saved me a lot of cognitive load from worrying about how my site is running.
I've only needed to contact support twice, but each time the response time was lightning fast and issues were resolved ever so quickly. Highly recommend!

Duda can't do everything. Anyone in this industry that knows what they are doing will tell you that these types of software make managing lots of sites easy, but they all fall short when it comes to more complex websites (User Logins, Specific Industry Features, etc). But... I have yet to work on a platform that is this rock-solid. And the best part is that they are constantly making feature improvements over time. Their team is actively working all the time to create new ways for us to service our clients, and they don't keep it a secret either. One of the marks of a good software company is taking feedback from your customers, looking at industry trends, and then applying them to your software in a smart, safe, and efficient manner. That's Duda. Rock-solid reliability, but ever-changing features that are well-thought-out. I personally have tried out almost all of Duda's competitors. None of them come close in my opinion. In fact, it's funny to watch all these other platforms SCRAMBLE to implement more Duda-like features. You can immediately notice the difference because t's so easy to get started with Duda. Their pricing structure is perfect for freelancer just starting out or for a large company that is looking to make a platform change. And their support does not treat you any different whether you have 5 websites or 500. Speaking of Duda Support, one of the best parts about Duda is their support system. During normal business hours, someone is always there to answer your questions no matter what it is. And if something is broken (we're in the website development field, things break) they are 100% on it immediately with helpful techs that actually know what they are talking about. I have been in situations where the tech was not able to help me, but they IMMEDIATELY escalated the situation, but they stayed with me for the entire process. I felt like they actually cared whether my issue was fixed or not. And that hasn't happened just once, it's happened a lot. I made a comment about what makes a good software company in the previous portion of my review, but you can ALWAYS tell what's a good or bad company based on their support. It's key to keeping your client base happy and actively using your product. Duda gets an S+ from me on their support. It's unmatched. Also, they are very quick to respond via their ticket system. Most companies you feel like you've just been put on the back burner. Not Duda. Finally, and maybe the most important part. Their editor. Now, is it the best editor in the business? Could be, I'm not sure. But what I do know is that it absolutely is the best editor for my clients to use. Duda has cut my training time to 1/4. We all know this common trait in this industry: "I want to be able to change everything on my website" - When in reality: We finish a custom Wordpress website, we train the client for an hour or 2, and they retain literally ZERO information and they log out forever. That may be good for hourly billing, but it's a time-scheduling nightmare. Duda makes this process super smooth, and if I had to put a number on it, I bet I have gotten a 40 - 50 % increase in my clients being active in changing content on their website. Some people may think that might take money away from you, but I would much rather lock my client into my platform because they actually like using the editor rather than them not understanding anything and getting frustrated, eventually leaving for something different.
Pseudo-Responsive Design: Duda's whole system was built on columns & rows. They have a 3-view process of editing your website (Desktop / Tablet / Mobile) which will load different CSS sheets depending on the screen size. Is this bad? Yes and no. I will say, I have experienced ZERO negative page speed / SEO problems from using this method. But it is a limiting factor when creating more complex designs. NOTE: Duda has released their Flex mode, which really aims at fixing all of that. Does the flex mode work? Yes, it does. It works REALLY well, but it is ever-evolving and changing, and it has some room to grow. So why did I put this in the negative portion of the review? Simply because of the time. It's 2021, and when your clients know the nomenclature of "responsive-design" (and actually know what it means) your platform better have that system completely fleshed out. I would estimate by mid-2022 this portion of the dislike section will be a moot point. Up-to-Date GTM & GA4 Tracking: One of the things that I am unsure why it's not updated yet is a specific section for GTM Tracking, as well as replacing (or adding) a new area for implementing the new GA4 system (yeah.. no one likes GA4, but we have to sort of submit to our Google Overlords on this one). This to me feels like a shortcoming. That needs to be added asap. GTM is too important in today's age, it can make or break retaining a client who is serious about driving traffic to their website. NOTE: There is a way to implement GTM tracking, but it's all manual code. I don't mind doing it when I have to, but there needs to be a dedicated place to put your GTM tag, and then it's just a 10-minute straight-forward process. Apps: Apps honestly are a HUGE benefit and one of the better parts of Duda. What my issue with is with some of the approved apps where we have only one option, and it's a bad app. I won't name all the ones I have a problem with (it's not many), but I will use one as an example. SiteSearch360: It's awful. If your search results are not relegated to its own dedicated page you might as well not even use it. Is that a problem with Duda? Yes and no. They need to either add another option or replace it. There are just a few apps that act like this, but they are some of the more core ones. Duda knows they are bad, they need to fix that. Forms: There needs to be more functional with the forms. They are very basic. We need more notification control over the messages and what they say & send. Duda's built-in forms work great for very easy contact forms. But anything past that you will need to invest in a system another type of software to HTML plug in. They offer plug-ins, and those are great, but I really feel like 75% of what those other software programs offer should be part of Duda's platform.
Duda forced me to have a process for onboarding new clients. It felt like every time I got a new client I was re-inventing the wheel (and I was). Duda helped (or forced, which is sometimes needed) me to get a process together to quickly and efficiently get new clients up and running. Duda also made it super simple for me to expand my business. A lot of that has to do with their team process. Duda does not charge you for your team members who work for you to build & manage websites. That's probably one of the most incredible benefits (and they really don't talk about it much - they do that more should). They also helped me look and feel more professional. Duda does not charge you extra for a "premium package" when white-labeling their software. It was honestly one of the biggest reasons I chose Duda. It's honestly not a huge deal that my clients know they are on Duda's platform (to be honest, I usually tell mos to of them) but they do not shove their name around when my client is logging in and doing what they need. It's all branded to my company - and that is very valuable.

Sometimes the editor can be a bit buggy which is frustrating. And I wish the columns and rows were more flexible. I know there's the new flex system but I haven't had time to get to grips with that yet. I'd also really like Duda to introduce a flexible freelance system. I build sites sporadically so I don't want to commit to an agency package but I'd be happy to pay a monthly fee each time I add a site. That would mean I'd have access to all of my sites in one place. Sometimes the editor is illogical. Like changing the colour of text is not where you expect it to be - things like that.

Many customers had a website built in WordPress. They are experiencing issues with the template they purchased is no longer able to function with the WordPress software version. The Duda system is not open source, so it solves this issue.
I love the support system. Not only do I get quick answers to my questions, but the support team is also willing to jump in and make changes all while guiding me on how to fix issues if they happen again.
I wish that we were given clearer timelines on upcoming tools, apps, and updates. I don't like telling a client that something is coming soon with no timeline. i have been stuck in a spot a few times now selling what's coming soon with LONG waiting periods for release. Maybe wait until it is close and provide a timeline so that we are better equipped to represent the product.

I had some trouble publishing my first website built on Duda. After trying everything I could find on all their help information, I finally called in and the CS agent, Paola, was not only very knowledgeable about Duda, but also about GoDaddy, my registrar. She was able to coach me through every step. As it turned out, I did everything correctly, but the site still wouldn't publish. Paola knew what to do, she discovered that another marketing agency had already built a site on Duda for this domain years ago. She was able to purge out all that old information and once she did, my site came right up. It's so nice to have a successful interaction with a CS agent. She had great training and was able to troubleshoot and fix the problem on the first call. I'm super happy with Duda and their staff and have already recommended them and will continue to do so.
Nothing so far! There is a learning curve as there is with every software. But, so far, so good!
1. Being able to save elements of a website and use them later on other sites. 2. Being able to tweak the mobile view of the site to make it just the way I want it. 3. Ripping an existing website right into Duda to quickly rebuild a site on the Duda platform. 4. Being able to publish one single page without publishing the whole site. This allows us to continue working on other pages while we're able to publish the ones that are ready for prime-time.
Duda as CMS allows both absolute website beginners and professionals to build and maintain websites with ease. They come with superb customer service, which I'm not sure I have experienced in that way before. No matter the case, the response always comes within a day. Also, Duda continuously develops the tool further with new features and apps about every week. They closely listen to what the community is asking for and develop accordingly. We now have built a full company website, various landing pages, various language versions, blogs, etc., in basically no time. Especially compared to previous attempts. All that at an unbelievable price. We sure are still learning and improving our skills every day and also our partners and agencies are, but it sure was the right step with regards to cost but especially flexibility and speed to choose Duda.
There is nothing I can think of so far. Maybe they could increase possibilities of user right management but that is actually good already. Really happy.

My only complaint has been regarding Duda's E-commerce solutions. I struggled with the shipping set-up and found the store widget rather limiting. And although this feature is getting better I found this one of the limitations of using Duda. However, Duda customer support is phenomenal and was very quick to assist me in correcting the issues.
Duda allows our agency to create modern, stylish websites with a quicker turnaround time. We have found that all our clients love how easy to use the Duda backend interface is and so we have found that we spend less time on client website management because clients feel more comfortable updating the site themselves. Our agency went from being a specialized SEO agency to being both an SEO and Web Design agency and this is all due to Duda's out of the box themes and templates. Once we became proficient with these themes and templates we have begun creating our own templates and we are now able to offer these to our clients as more options.

Ability to add/update content in a short period of time and with little effort. Their platform makes it easy to create a top-notch, professional website with features that help streamline day-to-day operations. Their branding and SEO tools are a few of the many other great features Duda offers. Customer service is excellent. After submitting an online support request regarding a formatting question, not only did they fix the issue that was my fault, they sent me detailed video instructions where they actually used my website for the tutorial. Probably the best customer service I have received in recent memory.
Fast, stable, easy-to-use, responsive, constant improvements, and allows you to build incredible looking and incredibly functional websites with ease! What more could you ask for in a website building platform?!? We love how reliable and fast it is, how easy it is to manage a large group of websites, and that new features and functions are constantly being developed in order to continue improving on what is already an incredible platform. One of the reasons that we left our old platform (Wix) was that it was not only clunky and much more difficult to use (for us and our clients), but they got stale and outdated, while only focusing on sales instead of improving the platform. Duda is more focused on creating and continually improving, which is what all good platforms should be focused on! I like that it's so easy to start a new client with a pre-built, gorgeous template, and have them simply update the text and images to create their own new and beautiful website. The process is so fast and easy, and the clients love it. It used to be really scary for a new client to even think about building out a new website from just a blank page because they didn't know what to add, where to add it, or even how to add it. Now I have new clients just jump right in and build out their new websites before I even get a chance to "train" them on the system. It's cut our launch time down to almost nothing, and the clients just love that they can easily manage things themselves without any type of training. Our support phone never rings, and we get one or two support emails a month now! It's crazy how much Wix had us chasing our tails and putting out fires! Never again!!!
I thought long and hard on this one, and the one thing that I dislike is that other website building platforms who consider themselves "comparable" or "better" (Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, and all the other wanna-be's out there!) are so far behind Duda, so I just really dislike that Duda hasn't gotten the recognition as an industry leader that it so much deserves. It's got far better tools, creates better websites more easily, and OMG! the support is a zillion times better than what any other website builder company provides. With such an incredible array of tools and features, including the ability to create your own or plugin any 3rd party add-ons that you might need, what is there to dislike? Also, unlike the competition, they even have an area for users to suggest ideas and improvements, which none of their competitors have. Their competitors need to take some tips from Duda, and start listening to their users, and making solid and valuable improvements, or more people like me will be heading over to Duda. One thing that I actually don't like is that when I'm working on a website in mobile mode, it often get's "stuck" (for lack of a better word), and I lose my toolbar at the top, which means that I can't get back to desktop mode or any of the top toolbar functions. So I find that I have to refresh my entire browser page quite a bit when working in the mobile mode so that I can get all of the top toolbar functions back again.
I'm now able to build out gorgeous new websites for my clients faster than I ever could before on the previous platform I used (Wix). Now my customers are also able to easily build and manage their own sites without my help, which is even nicer! My websites are ALWAYS up, and if there's even a hint of a problem with the system, which is incredibly rare, we get immediately notified before, during, and after the incident. None of their competitors do that! Because we host so many client websites for Duda, our overall ROI is much better than it ever was before. We can now focus on gaining new clients and building beautiful websites, rather than spending tons of time on constant customer support and education due to a hard-to-use system. Plus, we've never had a better uptime record than since we moved to Duda almost 3 years ago. Since then, we've had a few minor issues, as all technology companies do, but we're still at 100% uptime overall, for THREE YEARS! Who else can say that? NOBODY! Our clients will tell you that they don't even bother checking the free uptime service that we set up for every client site because it simply doesn't go down! It's just that good! One of our big problems that has been resolved is that of client support - we don't really even need it! The system is so intuitive and easy to use, that brand new clients can logically figure out what to do and how to do it. Plus, starting off with one of the many incredible templates that are available (with new ones being added at no cost all the time!), our new clients simply have to change out the template text with their own text, swap out images, and within an hour or two, they can have an incredible new website that looks like it cost them a fortune and took weeks to build...it's just fast, simple, and easy, the way building websites is supposed to be!
Duda is offering a great platform to manage multiple clients, websites and teams all at the same place. It is also a very intuitive and flexible tool to create stunning websites. There's a good choice of different templates. The website creator is easy to use and is adapted as much for beginners than for more experienced designers. Very good support team that will answer quickly and give good advices or directions.
As a bilingual designer, living in a bilingual country, I find that the multi-language features are pretty obsoletes and would really benefit from a good amount of redesign.
Duda have help me to manage clients and to create very nice websites for clients. My clients are happy with the product.
Widgets are User Friendly; Templates are helpful. I can easily customize any website I build to fit a client's needs.
I think it would be helpful for Duda to add more font options.
Duda has helped me retrieve domains for my clients multiple times to attach them to their new websites. Duda's customer service is available via chat for quick problem solving, unlike most website building platforms which only allow discussion for priority issues. They understand our clients need things fixed promptly, so they're always here to help!
I love that Duda comes integrated with security, SSL certificates, all that you need to get your website securely added to the internet. Some places charge you extra or make it extremely difficult for their users to have to get that feature added or applied their sites. Duda simply has it available as part of the publishing.
I dislike their limited customer support. I have 2 sometimes, 3 options to reach out to support: email, live chat, or callback. As a paying customer with clients I need real-time 24x7 support on the fly to keep my business and my clients business availability at or near 99% uptime. And when callback isn't available the Live Chat can put in long wait queues taking up to an hour or more to get help.
Providing my clients with websites that they can log into to update and make their changes themselves without needing my assistance has been really great at freeing up my time to allow myself to focus on growing than tending to their desires.
I have wordpress elementor, leadpages, wix, clickfunnels etc. i persoanlly think Duda is the most user friendly platform on the market. I suprise myself how fast i can work with duda.
i would prefer if there was more apps/ pluggins. If Duda had more plugging..... Duda would be a Kingmaker in the industry.
time saving, freedom to make a good lookign website, easy to navigate
It's easy to use and the support is great. I have tried to used other builders previously, but Duda is very easy to navigate, and the support function is fantastic. Representatives get back to questions I submit quickly, and the live chat option has been incredibly helpful as well.
Sometimes widgets that look great on the desktop don't translate well to mobile/tablet versions, so I sometimes have to rework a lot of pages based on the device. It can be annoying when I change the spacing for a tablet, it messes up the spacing for desktop, so sometimes I have to be creative with adding and hiding certain widgets on specific devices.
I am solving my client's problems of not having a quality website. I am able to create beautiful sites for my clients using Duda, and it's benefitted their businesses, and it's allowed me get a lot of referrals.

From my personal experience, there is only one thing that Duda could improve is to create blog categories like in WordPress, so it would allow easier management of content.
I was able to build my own website without hiring expensive developers and graphic designers. As I am starting my business and have a limited budget, Duda felt like the best option for my investment. Not only that, they gave me a 50% of my first-year plan (that's absolutely amazing)!!! I was also able to build a website without any communication issues between developers and graphic designers. As a person who worked in marketing for almost a decade, I know how complex website projects can become, however with Duda it was so easy and enjoyable that I would recommend it to anyone who is starting with a low budget. None the less I would also recommend it for a bigger company because I believe Duda has a great interface that helps build amazing websites no matter big or small size business.
I like the simlicity of this platform and the ease of working quickly!
The only downside of Duda is that there many many 3rd part apps that integrate with it yet.

Despite how well designed the platform is, there will inevitably be bugs, complications, or confusion on the part of the end user. So with as relatively little as I've needed to lean on tech support, theirs is simply remarkable. Fast, efficient, friendly. And above all, does not presume that I am an idiot (satisfied smile). They ask for as much pertinent information as is necessary to address my issue(s) without jumping to the conclusion that said issue(s) do not lie with me, the end-user. And THAT seldom happens anywhere!
A handful of very minor missing features that seem simple to incorporate. For instance, almost any portion of the site allows for customization or use of your own content elements (add your own font, add your own image, video, what have you... but you cannot use your own icons for social media. And theirs are relatively few. Basic standards like Twitch, Spotify, Discord, each with millions of users, are no where to be found. Users have to jump through several hoops to create a workaround that still does not match the visual appeal of all social icons of the same formatting lined up perfectly, which happens with the ones they support.
Visual appealing effects like video on loop, animated entrances of individual elements, simultaneous building of responsive builds... all of these have allowed me to create stunningly effective websites ...and FASTER than I was able to on similarly priced or similarly featured builders (such as snappages). And as an agency resource for local entrepreneurs to get websites online quickly who only see, essentially, the end result, such visuals are THE reason they are willing to pay out to a third party, thus solving issues on both sides of the counter between customers and designers.
This company is great to work with. Makes it easy to build multiple websites and landing pages. Their customer service is top-notch!
I have not found a dislike yet. But I will keep looking. :)

Nothing other than the eCommerce package needs a few more features to bring it in line with others out there.
I encountered some issues with the Store, that didn't seem to be standard... there are some features that WooCommerce has that would benefit Duds's store, such as product display ordering or additional email responses to orders.
