I like the free licence option. I also like the fact that it has plugins you can install that are the same and sometimes better than the expensive programmes on the market. It is easy to use and each tool comes with a description of how to use it or where you can use it. Not only is the programme great, but there are many videos and tutorials available online on how to use the programme teaching you new skills or inspiring new creatives for any project. We use Gimp for our Webdesign projects to resize and edit any media for our sites.

You have to download the plugins for the extra features, why don't they come with the standard programme. The process of uploading and integrating the plugins can be tedious for someone who is not well acquainted with computers or data management.

We do not need to pay expensive licence fees for media editing anymore. We can now create our own media and do not need to pay for the graphic design nor do we need to purchase stock images as we can make our own. It helps us create better photography results for our clients and excellent quality vector images.

The price is the first attraction. Ease of use is next

Menus are not the same as PS. This is not surprising because it is a different program. I know the tool is there, sometimes I have to look for it longer than I think I should.

I could no longer afford PS. So I turned to GIMP. Gimp does everything that PS can do and more!

With Gimp I have a lot of images that come in and need various pieces of manipulation done for them so that I can use them in presentations. I do a lot of presentations for marketing, customers, internal stakeholders, etc. With GIMP I can get the images in the right form to help me explain key concepts and make me a great communicator.

The best about Gimp is that is really easy to use its compact it has the main tools and it has a really nice interface.

I actully dont dislike anything how ever maybe the way the buttons are distributed on the scree maybe you can add a edit box where we can add specific buttons.

This program has been used in my school since long ago this has been really useful for kids to see what kind of art you can do on computer and see if they will like to study something in this topic in collage.

I find it is quite like photoshop. I Have done a lot of high level editing with GIMP and I have hardly felt there is not enough features. It has everything like layers, effects, you can manage your changes well. It is also very accessible. I use ninite to automatically install software and I almost always choose GIMP as part of the software that I install automatically in the software. And I was using it from when it was more basic. These days, it has so many features/ The bars to the right really help with tweaking your images with colour manipulating. I have a lot of fun with the filters too and you can find whatever you need to make the imagess great. I have only used the free version but I can't talk highly enough about it!

That is a hard question. I find it has most of the features I need so I dont really find it is lacking a whole lot!

Well for editing, it has solved a lot of problems. It has really helped with making my photos more sharp and unique. The benefits are great as you can use it to really hide your mistakes in photography or art

You can do whatever you want, it's really easy to use and the UX they use is really confortable.

I hate you can not open a RAW image, if you want to edit a RAW first you need to import it in another programa and then you send it to GIMP, if could be great if you could have a RAW editing section in this program

First of all, is free, if you don't need it just to make some photo editing or work in a drawing, is an excelent tool
