Compare GIMP with other popular tools in the same category.
I personally like the fact that there is so much you can do with this software. It has all the tools you need to edit any image into what you need. Personally I use this software for 3D printing different objects and it works amazingly.
The downsides of Gimp is there are a few tools that can get confusing and I can’t find a lot of help on the internet.
Currently I am using GIMP to make cookie cutters with 3D printers and it is very good to get the outline I need in the format I need of any image I put into it.
I like that this is free and very nicely done software for your needs.Great image editor and i like that it is also for amateurs or beginners. Very nicely done and quite easy to work around with it. Also on Gimp you have a lot of graphic design elements which is extremely nice and that is why i like this. With such a variety of options it is no wonder i give this 10+ for the software for editing and changing images. With it you can simply retouch images with amazing possibilities and also do image authoring which is something i like as well.
There are many releases and i don't know which one to download. Other then that i am highly recommended this to anyone.
I am solving image editing problems, and with quite simplicity since it is great program as i said for beginners and professionals too. You can manipulate images very easily and quite professionally.
The best part about Gimp is undoubtedly that the application is free to use. It may not have the best interface or support, but Gimp offers something which none of the superior photo editing applications can in that it doesn't cost a penny to use. I tried Gimp on a whim trying to find a cheap application to edit and create content, and I will never look back. It can't really compete with the paid alternatives, but it is definitely the best free option in the market!
The user interface is really hard to work with in my opinion, especially after working in versions of Adobe Photoshop. It's not as user friendly, and it can be hard to navigate at times. This being said, it still beats a lot of other free alternatives in this aspect. There isn't much support to speak of, but there are plenty of tutorials online because it's a popular free option. I would definitely change a lot about the application, but it's really hard to complain when it's free.
I have been using GIMP since I discovered it early last year. It has made editing photos and creating content much cheaper than using Adobe Photoshop. I realized that by using GIMP, I didn't need a paid subscription to get the same outcome.
Gimp is totally free software and that's the main reason why I like it. Also because it has characteristics very similar to those of Photoshop. It has many functions not only for image editing as well as for digital design. Another feature that I like is that it has extensive documentation and online material to create designs and effects. In addition, it is possible to install it on different platforms such as Windows and Linux.
I have nothing wrong to comment on Gimp. It is an open source software, with excellent eduction functions and compatible with different image formats. Furthermore, it is possible to install third-party plugins to add more functionalities.
Overall, I use Gimp for specific tasks in my job, such as designing banners, business cards or logos. It has a robust set of tools and they are all completely free. This software benefits me by saving me money that I would have to spend on design software licenses. Also, I can install it on Windows or Linux.
What I like most about gimpie is it's very intuitive. I don't have a lot of graphic skills but the work in it goes quite well
Sometimes it seems to me that it is not developed enough
I often make leaflets for my partners. I also sometimes make a logo for my pages.
lot of features and very easy to use when you need some small changes on your photo
some of the great features are not easy to find it takes a while to load
because of GDPR we needed to edit some photos before making them public. GIMP was the perfect choice for this
I've been using GIMP since a super techy friend turned me on to it when I wasn't able to afford Photoshop (yes, I like to pay for my software). This was back in 2007 and I had only used programs like COREL draw and MS paint. It was like stepping into a dream world where my creativity knew no bounds! And when I finally did get Adobe CS5, I was super familiar with the controls
The program will sometimes glitch out when I'm switching screens, like from Chrome to GIMP and back, I'll highlight GIMP and it will just disappear again. Only happens once, but does happen often in a session
I have learned so much about layers, transparencies, scaling images, and everything you could need to know as a novice graphic designer.
Gimp is sincerely the best tool in which I have worked, designed, or edited in my life, sincerely I don't think that would be a best program or application to edit in a computer in the world, it is simply one of the best things that someone can use, this program has helped me in every ambit of my life, I have modified and edited so many videos for different purposes that I cannot even remember at this point.
Nothing at all, is very simple and user friendly, it is almost a perfect application, it is very difficult to find any kind of deficiency in this program, it is so good and useful that you cannot process the kind of information that is passing through your eyes, simple as that, is user friendly, easy to use, anyone can use it from anywhere, it doesn't sacrifice your ram cards and it is not so expensive as other work or edition related programs.
A lot, I have used it for pro editions and even for university assignments.
Gimp is a GNU Image Manipulation Program for cross-platform image editing for Windows, Linux, and OS X. It is free and open-source software for image manipulation. For graphic designers, it is a very useful tool to easily design or edit images. I have used this tool on my laptop and it is easy to install and requires less space on computer or laptop. Easy to use without any expertise.
This is an open-source and free software no doubt we can use it for making banners and images but if we compare it with Adobe Photoshop then Adobe is much better.
I have used this for editing banners for social media and my websites. And it is the best tool for those who don't have adobe photoshop.
