It's nice that you can view all of your social media accounts like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc ... all in one system. I never new that apps like this existed until recently .. very good idea and easy to manage.
Still getting used to, so my complaint might be user error, but it would be nice to see all accounts on one screen, like TweetDeck. That would be my only complaint right now.

I manage social media for several accounts and Hootsuite provides a single solution that lets me manage everything in a single console. I like to schedule tweets directly from the browser and this is easily accomplished with Hootsuite. I also like the reporting features and I find they are what I need for myself and for clients. Its a great solution to manage the social spaces and topics I'm interested in while organizing my accounts. I also like that every time I check they're adding features that I want (like independent Wordpress management)
More of a wish than anything else, it would be nice to have more robust monitoring similar to a Radian 6, but I think that would put Hootsuite in a different category entirely

Hootsuite lets you control your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Foursquare, and more all from one dashboard. You can schedule posts, collaborate with team members by assigning messages to people, and you can run reports of your social media, all for free. It's a big time saver versus managing all of this from each individual application.
I wish they'd add Vimeo and YouTube. It would be great to queue up videos for publishing. There's also, shockingly, no Tumblr integration yet.

I like that you can connect all your profiles and send as a group each time that you want to send. No need to re-select the profiles.
The platform is way too pricy! The $75 monthly is for very few profiles. Also, after 10 years with them, basically grandfathered, they jacked my price up from $9.99 to $75.00. Not much customer service and consideration for those who started early on in the history of Hootsuite. Also, the analytics are complicated and no very user friendly. I can't set up individual reports easily.
Hootsuite lets me post to over 44+ accounts with one send. And also, it selects my followers when I type their names in to tag them.
It is easy to use and navigate with introductory messages and to onboard new team members There are many languages already "integrated".
We did not find some functions utilizing our needs. Members are limited and costly and due to this country/language clustering is limited (important for operating in EU). Not all platforms are supported. Post scheduling is still not fully possible for instagram.
We increased reach and optimized waiting time for our customers. Our managers were able to acquire and respond to all incoming leads. It became easier to analyze and monitor activity and response time.
Hootsuite allows our team to work together easily and effectively to present a unified social media presence. It was trivial for our organisation to get up and running with Hootsuite without any fuss. I have Hootsuite open every day to review scheduled posts across a range of platforms - all the main platforms are covered. I can also log-in from anywhere to check the performance of posts and see engagement. Adding, editing and organising posts for multiple channels is easy with recommendations and grammar checking built in. The scheduler is easy to navigate on a small or large screen, with a compact and expanded view. It is simple to review campaign performance through the comprehensive analytics interface, especially while X analytics are broken. I have only had to contact customer supoprt a few times, but they have always replied promptly and substantively. There are integrations with cloud platforms and app integrations implemented to help with media management though I don't use these myself. All in all, I can get all I need to get done day to day easily and quickly through an intuitive interface for most of my social media management tasks. The service is constantly updated with additions and improvements that make working with it a breeze.
Hootsuite provides a bulk scheduler, which I use all the time, with a reasonable limit of 350 scheduled posts. However, the bulk scheduler is slow and struggles with anything more than 10 records. There is no way to schedule posts with images, which need to be added after. This has been a long standing issue. If a solution to this were to be implemented, I would recommend this service to everyone.
Hootsuite has allowed us to build and engage with a growing social media audience using a wide range of features dedicated to that objective.
Hootsuite has a simple to use dashboard and the new AI functions are GREAT! I use them for content ideas and caption creation. Hootsuite is one of the better marketing tools I have used.
The social networks seem to get disconnected alot causing some issues with reporting, etc. It's definately something you have to keep and eye on regularly, can't just connect them and forget them.
Social Media content scheduling to get ahead on our marketing initiatives and creating custome reports. The AI functions help with content ideas and caption creation.
I love that Hootsuite easily connects all of the social accounts for one client
Not as easy to separate clients into groups; the cost; too many distractions on the screen making it feel more complicated than it needs to be
This is my one stop shop for all social media posts for one client. I think it does a great job for them, but I would hesitate to add multiple accounts to my dashboard- it would be too crowded and not as easy to separate clients as I've seen in other platforms.
Being able to see all the content we have planned in one organized spot. I love that you can tag posts and create a dashboard for analytics off of those tags.
It is a bummer that you cannot upload videos into a post creation on amplify, you have to go through the normal publisher and switch accounts.
Going to the individual social media accounts and sharing content. Having one mutual place to refer to for performance metrics - keeps results the same across the board. Overall Managment that i have to see all media and content ion planning
For general social media management and community management, Hootsuite excels, especially through Streams, Planner and Inbox features.
Perhaps it is due to having higher expectations than what we should but from native data to that available in Hootsuite, the difference was sometimes too significant.
One-stop tool for all the local and regional markets we have using one tool. Makes it easier to communicate updates to process as everyone is using the same tool.
Brandwatch insights - one of the cheaper options on the market to access social listening software
the UI lets it down compred to competititors. Also the inability to pull in social posts that weren't scheduled in Hootsuite
Social listening, and reporting on market state
What I like the most is that the tool allows and simplifies the publication of a post on different social medias I think this saves time and helps to avoid errors
The lack of a program for their training. I think it was a lot of information left out from this. It would be best if you could share a program of what we can review and if we are exploring all the features of the tool
the problem we had at first, was the lack of approval for different posts and with Hootsuite we have this tool now.
how easily i can post in all the different social media
i can not post some posts close enough and that some times is an issue
it helps the whole teams to analyze trends and make our every day work easier, we use it to post on facebook instagram tweeter and our everyday became a whole lot easuer
its user-friendly interface and extensive range of features, it is a highly recommended and easy-to-use option.
Due to the platform's extensive capabilities, there is a learning curve involved in fully understanding and utilizing all the features Hootsuite has to offer.
Centralized Social Media Management
Hootsuite makes planning and scheduling social media content easier. Their suggestions and content libraries can save you a lot of time and the reporting makes it easy to measure the impact you're making.
The approval process within Hootsuite is somewhat unreliable and has caused frustrations within our organization.
It's making creating a content calendar and planning/scheduling social media posts across all of our channels easier.
What I like best about Hootsuite is the vast amount of integrations for platforms there are. Most review sites, even if not a native integration, has another way to integrate.
What I like least about Hootsuite is sometimes the UI does not match up across the tool. It sometimes seems like they have updated some pages, but not others to match up the experience.
Hootsuite creates a place where we can go to monitor not only social but also our review sites, which is a very important addition for us.
Hootsuite offers a wide array of options for your posting needs. The ease of use is apparent in its design, utilizing both a calendar and a listview for your accounts. The use of scheduling is clean and efficient and offers a wide array of plug-in options for your social media needs.
The limitations are that of any social media scheduling site (i.e. stories cannot be posted automatically, edits cannot be made within 15 minutes of the post going out, etc.) and are not more extensive than what you would find on other sites. The natural negative traits lie in the paid services provided for each plan. Some offers are already included in most areas at no additional cost.
We utilized the service to run multiple school and church accounts, promoting and advertising events and services. Hootesuit provided means of accurately and adequately posting certain media to certain accounts allowing for proper advertising to the target audience.
I liked that you could manage everything - engagement, scheduling, insights, etc. - from the platform. It was mostly beginner-friendly, but it did take some learning time.
There were restrictions for how many social connections we could have which did not work for our agency. There was also a learning curve to it that didn't align with what we needed; it took too much time to learn the ins and outs for all our team.
We could schedule out posts for our clients, keep up with engagement, and receive insights for how well our content was performing.
One stop shop to post to mulitple media channels at once. It's a great way to carry a branded message consistently across media without a lot of hassle.
It only allows for a few channels before wanting to charge. I would love to spend ad dollars for promoting the media via Hootsuite without the upcharge for simple access.
Posting to multiple media channels at the same time. Saves time and energy when branding and raising general awareness about Mathnasium of Tempe. We love empowering students with math skills for success in life.
Hootsuite was my first introduction to social media planning/marketing applications. It is an easy-to-use platform that assists with managing content. The processes are fairly intuitive, which makes it ideal for beginners.
After dipping my toes in the waters of content planning and management, I discovered new platforms that had greater functionality and worked with a broader range of social media applications.
My greatest need is consistently scheduling content. I don't want to be bogged down with posting everyday and I want to create opportunities to increase engagement. Hootsuite makes that process simple.
