I love the versatility. The low code solution is great for building a standard native solution, however as a web developer the opportunities are endless as to the customization. This is a cost effective platform that really can help small to midsize businesses take them from expensive hardware, servers and upkeep, or expensive cloud solutions that fall outside their budgets. From CRMs to custom database and data storage solutions. We have created app packs for such a broad range of clients which I really am excited about. Small businesses who have not had the opportunity or have not been exposed to the cloud technology “revolution” that we are experiencing currently, we know have the opportunity to offer them a tremendous amount of development resources in a fraction of the time.
The absolute to create more dynamic dashboards for different departments. The portal customization tool is great, however could use more robust features and native functionality. As different departments in a business have different types of responsibilities, and need to see different datasets quickly. For example, if the sales managers wanted to see their sales reps, sales, leads, funnels it would be great to be able to access reports and data based on the login all from a centralized dashboard.
I have tapped into many different market demographics that previously were hard to market to. Creating customizations that have created custom mathematical solutions for stock market applications, to large scale data mining and storage solutions for financial market research and publication. I was able to create customized database solutions, automating and pulling previous years data for side by side analysis. Running custom complex calculations for clients, and showing those results in tables. I have been able to run third party api’s and pull requested data in to that application for analysis and calculation points. Kintone has tremendous power and ability to create a unique applications based on business needs. I have been really impressed at how every question I have thrown at Kintone and their engineers, how quickly that have responded and help me develop the solutions I need.
Online and shareable and the ease in creating views and charts
Would like to have more flexibility in attributes for features and functionality. Being able to have formulas in an attribute would be awesome and bring the best of Excel to Kintone.
Being able to have multiple people share what used to be in Excel files on my laptop has been huge.
Simple interface layouts with plenty of available use scenarios. Great way to make a postive impact without betting the bank. Good functionality without investing huge human resources. Both browser and app accessible. Client agnostic cloud platform. Quick launch functionality. Works with iterative development. A good small organization platform with very expandable resources at reasonable price. Appropriate for enterprise, departmental or small/medium business use.
Attachment handling could be better. PDF display required some extra coding. Basic and boxy interface - but not really a problem unless you are more interested in identity aesthetics than functionality.
Standard workflow issues like sales process (inquiry, quote, order, purchase, logistics, invoice inputs, payment tracking.) Also, vacation request, expense reporting and reimbursement, purchase request and requisitioning. Vendor, customer and contact databases. Better long-term project progress reporting. Less time-consuming than sorting and searching emails for information. Some secure, limited collaborations and access by individuals outside of our company.
Kintone's management, tech support ate great. we switched our data base from Microsoft Access to Kintone. Our customized access data base was quite complecated but the Kintone team converted to their program. The transition was very smooth and after care is great.
we gave up some cross reference porgram but it might be able to built the customized program by Kintone if we paid additional fee.
It was difficult to update Microsoft Access due to luck of programmer. We do not worry about it anymore with Kintone. Crowd style is plus too- we do not worry about back up.
Kintone has changed my entire approach to my work day. As someone with only basic experience with databases, I was spending a lot of time just teaching myself how to use Access. While Access is a great program with a lot of capabilities, our needs were rather specific. When I started to focus on learning how to meet those needs in kintone, I felt that I was making much more significant progress. It is easy to use and easy to learn. I can have applications up and running in minutes, as opposed to the hours or days it would require before.
Kintone is missing a few basic features that I would expect to see in any data management software. Foremost among these is what Access calls a "combo box": a drop-down list of options that also allows a user to type in data that isn't on the list.
We are using kintone to host our client information database, track client visits and services, track volunteer hours, and track inventory of physical resources. The primary benefit is the speed with which we can set up the apps needed to track these things, and the ease of use for our average users.
The ability to customize the layout of the forms is something I couldn't find in this price range.
I wish you could customize forms more (colors, fonts, etc.). Also, I wish there were I could create automatic exports from filters.
We needed a small database to share among only a few employees so that we could get away from spreadsheets and paper. It solved our problems and we were able to get our Kintone database designed in a few days of playing with it.
Highly customizable platform where you can adapt the different tools and features to whatever your business needs might be. We are using it as a database to store information and perform basic cross-record matching and calculations. Easy to use and intuitive.
Nothing so far. Only point for improvement would be a self-serve tool to create a calculator for scoring records, at the moment it's relatively manual.
Database of product information. Previously using Google Sheets which was becoming very complicated and unwieldy. Very satisfied with Kintone's product.
Easy to create forms and look ups. Instead of using a vendor to build an application, we can create applications for our clients and better support them.
A few simple options are missing or can be only be done with Java script. The reason to use this product is not to have others involved. Example: If have a look up table, you cannot type start typing in values and get a drop down showing which records match Also: Say you have a yes or no question and you pick yes | the option to the form to display different questions. The platform is great just some minor additions I see that are missing. We are though building applications for our clients on it.
For our clients : Converting multiple excel or access intake systems to one on Kintone. We are able to secure data up to the row or column which is very nice. We are also creating custom Asset systems per client. Instead of using a 3rd party vendor and having them change it for our customers, we can now build it for them and support them direct. We are also migrating old print outs for orders to Ipad based ordering systems for retail.
Having limitless options with Kintone is really nice. It allows you to custom tailor the experience to what you need. It makes your data usable!
The only downside is that for the average person it's a bit complicated. You'll need to rely more on your customer service rep to help make major changes.
It helps me keep my data organized and easy to use. There are many was to graph your data to make it easy to read
Sharing information in one place is very convenient when working with teams. I like it is compatible with URL addresses, attachment files and more. I expect more space for picture or movies near future.
Maybe we can program the column by ourselves. But, If I can associate some columns, it will be greatly appreciated so that we can reduce the time to type in the information.
We don't have to access many file servers to find the docs or other information. I believe we could greatly reduce the time to find the files in daily work. Thank you.
The customization options available make this a great tool for any industry. Ease of navigation makes it easy for any user.
Updates do not autopopulate automatically which can cause confusion.
Project tracking information can be accessed and identified by any user which leads to less issues and errors.
The technical support and responsiveness, especially when we have new/additional needs. Also, for such a ro
Everything works great, but if I had to recommend any improvement, I'd say the interface could be more attractive/visually appealing.
We use Kintone as our case management software and their recent customizations have really helped to cut down the time it takes to do reporting for our federal grants.
Kintone is very customizable which means that if somebody in my team asks me if we can do something in Kintone, I am able to say yes almost all of the time. Plus, it's fun to figure out how to most efficiently organize data in Kintone. You are able to create apps which keeps different data separate and organized, for example, one app for budgets and another app for meeting notes, but you are also able to connect the data across apps so all of the budget and meeting note data that is in separate apps will link to the same client.
Because it is so customizable, sometimes I'll set up a task or table and then realize that it was not the best way to do it. My coworkers have also called it clunky and hard to adapt into their work flow. After a couple of years of learning and using it, plus a few added customizations, plus making tutorial videos for my coworkers, we are in a great place with Kintone and really appreciate it, but it did take us time and work to get there.
We are organizing the data for the clients we serve. The biggest benefit for us is being able to create apps which keeps different data separate and organized, for example, one app for budgets and another app for meeting notes, but you are also able to connect the data across apps so all of the budget and meeting note data that is in separate apps will link to the same client.
Kintone is versatile for non-profits and you can build apps that help keep track of many different services. It is fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it.
It is not always user friendly and sometimes has issues on updating changes to the apps. Sometimes when you make a change you manually have to edit accounts (instead of just syncing all data) which is time consuming. It also does not allow searching of names by just a few letters but has to have the name exactly as it is entered into the system in order to find them.
They are supposedly working on an update to fix some of the issues but we haven't heard back yet. We use it to keep track of a lot of different services and it is flexible for the most part. It allows you to create apps that you need and to keep track of different things that you need to or want to for statistical purposes. It is really limitless in that regard.
Kintone is useful when it comes to tracking our activities and managing multiple tasks in our organization. It is easy to use as it provides a set of built-in templates which can be changed according to our preferences. It also contains many utilities which facilitate the flow of our incident management, which ensures that all our team members can access the ticketing tool and extract its reports and log history.
Nothing is worth mentioning when it comes to disliking the usage of Kintone. We customize our task and make sure it fits in with our client standards which are suitable for our daily activities in our project.
We build our Incident Management application with Kintone for integrating our tasks which our entire team members work together. It is great when we need to keep in track of several records, and it has much more configurable items thanks to its intuitive workspace. We also maintain our client contacts and inventory management in order to prepare the readiness for our upcoming project with Kintone. The most complex code design can be easily made and streamline our project workflow since Kintone is a powerful no-code application development platform.
I can use plug-in to customize my workplace. Lots of controls can be chosen according to my requirements
I can not find an easy way to input multiple records at the same time.
I can show my data in a graph way; automatic data processing
Kintone made us easy to manage all of our prospects in a different applications. It is easy to have the lists of our data. There are couple of things we need to fix on our platform but Kintone is very easy to fix. The main reason why use kintone is to collect data and follow up with the prospect customers. Kintone makes us, as a international education school, very easy to contact and very easy to manage. I really like how we can see everyone's work load and make simple to manage everything.
For anyone, it is hard to understand the new system. To understand the system in Kintone, it took some time to understand how it works and how I can optimize this to give us the most efficient way to gather our data. Comparing with ASANA, also the another management application we recently started to use recently to see the tasks and everything, ASANA is a whole different platform so you maybe cannot compare but ASANA do much better job in regard of managing the tasks. We also use Kintone to see how our employees doing on their tasks but It is just much simpler using ASANA.
Since we used Kintone, all of our data is now very clear. We have had so many unclear data before. The benefit I realized by using Kintone was that it is easy to see which customer I have to follow up with.
Beyond just storing record data, kintone has been a wonderful way to manage multiple users, specific user permissions, and have everything available remotely! We don't even need to back up our data since kintone handles this on the back end. It's a professional business management software and it works wonders.
Some inconveniences like simple functionalities (age calculator and having to manually enter a DOB) are all that I could complain about.
Our NPO can create, edit, and manage our participant records with ease. There's no need to worry about storage constraints, accessibility, or security. Kintone handles all of this very well.
I love the user friendliness! Even if you've never used a CRM before Kintone is very user friendly and intuitive.
Gun to my head, the only critique I would have to say is the customer support could be a little more robust. That is being very nitpicky.
AS our organization has multiple entities, Kintones allows us to share information across various departments, yes most CRm's do that, but Kintones Apps allow us to build identities for specific tasks and specific departments. The rate that we can freely share information is fantastic.
