"Put your e-newsletter on auto-pilot"
What do you like best about Kit?

I can automate my newsletter, which allows me to "set it and forget it". I can also create landing pages, forms, and process payments all in one place.

What do you dislike about Kit?

Customer service is not ideal. You can only contact customer service through a chat window (vs. phone) and in my experience, there is always a delay in response, each step of the way as you exchange comments/questions back and forth. I also had an experience where a customer service rep directed me to do something, which created an irreversible issue for my newsletter automation. I'm sure she had good intentions, but didn't have the necessary knowledge to guide me appropriately.

"User-friendly and easy to start for the not-so-tech-savvy"
What do you like best about Kit?

For someone without a lot of technical knowhow, you can simple, clean, great looking emails. Even someone like me, who is tech-savvy and has used almost every major email marketing provider, the CK setup time is great.

What do you dislike about Kit?

Sometimes it would be nice to have the option to create something more "showstopping" for special occasions. The landing page templates also aren't that great - but they'll do and they're great for those without skill or who are short on time. The cost. Now they have a free plan. I feel like they could have had one for years. Eventually, when I purged my list and was starting over, it didn't make sense to pay them $50/mo to manage a handful of names.

What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I switched them from MailChimp years ago when I wanted easier and faster ways to segment my audience without creating multiple lists (thereby counting contacts more than once). This was before MailChimp had a tagging feature. They also had landing pages before MC did (if memory serves me correctly), so it was nice to be able to quickly create a page and tie it to my mailing list.

"It has helped me improve traffic to my blog through email marketing campaigns"
What do you like best about Kit?

It has helped me improve traffic to my blog through email marketing campaigns, which I can create in just a few steps and in that way increase the reach of my content, another thing that I really like is the fact that it is quite accessible in money matters, with other applications it happened to me a lot that if I had repeat people in the list of recipients they charged me a penalty for the duplicate, however Convertkit does not do this, which is a great relief for my finances. Besides leaving tasks scheduled to run automatically without the need for me to be aware of them at all times, the interface is also quite easy to use, which is why for me it is a fairly powerful tool

What do you dislike about Kit?

I feel that it needs to exploit its potential a little more, since currently it seems to me that it is a very good option compared to the other systems that circulate, but nevertheless I believe that they have remained stagnant and have not sought to improve their functions to continue up front compared to the others.

What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has been very useful to me to design my email marketing campaigns as a mechanism to help a massive dissemination of the content published on my social networks and informative blog, since in this way I manage to increase the number of visits to my profile and in that way to be more recognized in the digital world.

What do you like best about Kit?

ConvertKit is barebones. It's simple. It's not made for people doing complicated list stuff.

"streamlined interface (once you get used to the jargon)"
What do you like best about Kit?

Convertkit is best for those who want to write streamlined, text-only emails to their users. While it offers plenty of formats for things like landing pages and in-post CTA's, the emails themselves are very simple. No designs, no templates. Just text like you're emailing a friend.

What do you dislike about Kit?

The move over to Convertkit can be a bit clunky if you have several lead magnet journeys, but the team is very accessible and responsive over Basecamp, so as long as you're in contact about the transition process, you'll be fine.

What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?

We moved over to Convertkit from Mailchimp because despite Mailchimp priding itself on ease of use, we found it ultimately too complicated to customize as we grew. Convertkit's emails are simpler, but the visualization of email journeys is much easier to work with.

"Perfect for When You've Outgrown MailChimp"
What do you like best about Kit?

I love how easy it is to create an automation, tag subscribers, and create sequences. I love being able to target my emails to the most receptive people.

What do you dislike about Kit?

Since it is a newer email service provider, there have been times when I've had issues with deliverability and emails not making it to the subscriber. I've always been able to resolve those quickly with the help of support. I don't like that I have to worry about it though.

What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?

ConvertKit solves the problem of keeping in touch with people who want to hear from me. It's a great solution for people who have outgrown MailChimp (or who are sick of paying double for subscribers) but don't need the power of InfusionSoft. ConvertKit makes it easy for me to tag subscribers based on the actions they take when reading my emails and this lets me create content based on those actions. More importantly, it lets me make offers to people based on their actions.

"Easy to use email mailer"
What do you like best about Kit?

I love that everything is one place: email sequences, opt-ins, landing pages, forms - no more having to link everything together! ConvertKit is simple to use - especially if you want simple letters with essentially no frills. There's no setup time, nothing to learn - you can just start sending letters.

What do you dislike about Kit?

My biggest concern is the lack of SEO options on landing pages. What advantage to me is it to use their landing pages if you can't edit SEO important fields (meta-description, page title, etc)...AND their lack of SEO overrides anything you do on a Wordpress page? You want people to be able to find your opt-in...which means you want it optimized for SEO. It's impossible to fully do that using a ConvertKit landing page. (Most of the time I use a naked form on a landing page built off my Wordpress page now.) Also, remember the no frills? Sometimes I want frills. I'd love to be able to change text color without having to edit css each time. I'd love to be able to click to add a simple link to remove someone solely from a sequence, instead of the entire mailing list.

What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?

The best part about ConvertKit is the ability to send opt-ins easily - with very little time for setup.
