Customer relations.
Auto-save features exporting of contacts Custom fields
Duplicate contacts are frequent Can't fully sync email to multiple inboxes

I like how quick nutshell is to support its customers
I dont think Nutshell integrates with Google all that great and I have trouble with the gmail intergration
Being able to track the number of calls and notes my teams use from a management perspective. It allows us to keep track of work completed.
My favorite thing about nutshell is its recent expansion of sales automation, My team is able to work so effciently making personal communications with the easy to use automation.
I would like to be able to do more with custom fields. Reporting exists but I'd love to be able to decide pipelines based on custom fields rather than just product, source, territoy, etc.
Nutshell has consolidated communications and account management for us. We are more organized and more aware because our communication and other activities that drive our sales can all be automated, recorded, performed in nutshell.
Customization and Pipeline Process management are my two favorite capabilities within Nutshell. We rely on our default pipeline weekly and the ability to add custom, trackable fields to our lead view has been a game changer.
The limitations to what you can import have caused us many problems. While you can bulk edit Nutshell default columns, you can't bulk edit custom created fields, nor can you export, update, and reimport them to reflect changes. Manual edits become week long tasks and take hours of man power to complete when we update/add/remove various fields.
We have Salespeople in multiple offices and Nutshell as allowed us to keep track of various sales territories while staying organized across multiple accounts. I've worked extensively with the Nutshell API to create a dashboard in Google Sheets to track various metrics and that has been extremely useful.
The best feature in Nutshell is the ability to look at your pipeline on it's dashboard. It's nice to have all of the information that I need on one page, as well as correspondence between sale reps and clients when attached to our exchange server, allowing even more insight into the progression of leads, and where they are in the pipeline
I have noticed when exporting some reports that even though I have selected which specific data I would like exported, there are extra fields that I did not need to have in the report.
One of the greatest advantages for me as the admin, is that it seamlessly syncs up with our mailing platform, allowing me to track marketing emails, and revenue generated from those emails. being able to put realistic revenue numbers with our marketing efforts are a big plus.
Nutshell has rapidly developed a number of fantastic features.
Nutshell has been hard for our more long term users to adopt. While there are many things that are intuitive to people who grew up with the Web 2.0, many of these same things are not what more mature users are expecting. Many things in Nutshell were just too limited for our company to use, for example product support and quoting.
We use Nutshell to coordinate sales team data, as well as to incorporate incoming leads through various pipelines, like email, our website, and so forth.
I like the ability to organize successfully and keep track of open and won leads.
I dislike that you removed the text box that showed up on the actual webpage for responding to e-mails and that the only option is a pop-up e-mail box that covers the page.
It's very useful as a customer support platform. Nutshell makes it easy to organize.
Automated email scheduling and the ability to track email opens has been very effective in allowing me to improve email campaign conversion rates. The only issue I have found with this is, when a lead has responded via a different email address, cancelling the scheduled emails. However, I do not see there being too much more Nutshell is able to do on this.
Sometimes things look too cluttered, especially on the leads page I tend to find there is too much going on. If I have a list view, I tend to like things being absolute bare minimum and just being able to have a complete overview of everything I I can search for specifics if needed). Perhaps more flexibility on this page would be good. Then again, perhaps I just haven't been using the product to its fullest extent.
I feel like it is very effective for keeping track of multiple types of sales within the same business. My colleagues and I are selling to very different types of customers (people and businesses etc.), yet we are able to work alongside each other in the same product. Perhaps an improvement to this could be allowing a team to isolate itself from the others; have a whole area of Nutshell independent of the rest of the business where it can create its own leads which to not clash with those of other team members.
Its intuitive user interface. I've used many CRMs previously such as Salesforce, Highrise, SugarCRM, PipelineDeals etc. and Nutshell is by far the easiest to use. It's been a big difference for us as it doesn't matter how powerful your CRM is, as your staff won't use it if it's clunky. We've found that the data entered and stored in Nutshell to be much more rich than that which was stored in our previous, larger CRM platforms.
Nutshell's pricing model is frustrating. To get some key sales-management features such as advanced reporting (i.e. pipeline report) or multiple process types/milestones, you have to take a significant jump in price up (double) to the Pro version. If you're solely managing a sales team or a small team, it might make sense, but if you're looking to use this company-wide (i.e. for managing customers in addition to prospects), the cost can become prohibitive to pay the Pro rate for a bunch of light users (anyone outside of sales).
We use Nutshell to track our sales pipelines and forecasts as well as all of our communications to customers. We've enjoyed that Nutshell integrates with so many complementary platforms so that it is easy to connect all customer information in one place. For example, we've been able to sync our gsuite, PandaDoc proposals and Zendesk support communications all in one place.
I have tried other Customer Relations Management systems before and Nutshell is fairly user-friendly, has great support, and provides cool features. I like that it connects to my google, so it links my emails and calendar - that has saved a lot of time. Also, being able to separate companies from people in leads is crucial in the service industry.
I understand that it's designed for more of a product sales company but we'd love to see more service-management features. The reports could use some work as well. And exporting lists, contacts, leads, anything really can be a bit of a hassle.
Communicating with others on the team or in the company has gotten so much easier. The task or email-style services we've used in the past is very easy to get lost in but even the home page of Nutshell offers cool insights and tasks that need to be done. Additionally, Nutshell's ability to hold so much data has made it easier for us to get organized.
Nutshell have helped us track our leads to be able to have a better understanding of the market.
I would like better compatibility with the phone, the phone app is limited compared to the website based nutshell, importing contacts from an Iphone can be difficult specially if you have personal contacts on you phone.
The use of nutshell haves helped us track where the jobs are going, before nutshell we didn't have a way to track what was happening to all the quotes that we where providing to our costumers.
Nutshell is intuitive and easy to navigate. Easy setup and easy to maintain. Low cost and easy to support within a growing company or business.
Lack of integrations. The list is growing and they are improving connections to other applications every year. Can't load photos of customers building or logos in the customer profile or business profile. Can't move or copy email templates from individual users, you have to rebuild for each user.
Increase our sales pipeline and ensuring higher conversions from leads to sales.
For a CRM It is simple to learn and implement. The interface is clear and and there is a good depth of tools to allow you to customize the procedures for your team. All in alll it is a very powerful tool and great way to track leads and the sales team.
The search bar is the worst, it doesn't pull up results in any predicable way and is not forgiving of spelling errors. The lack of attachments on emails can be frustrating when searching the projects history . The bizarre use of approximate dates " a few days ago, a couple of weeks ago..." is not helpful in any way. Why would they do that ?1 seriously who asked for less precision? The light grey font is very hard to read on many screens.
managing a national rep network
Good integration with our email - we can echo our messages sent through our Gmail / GSuite into Nutshell and we can email from Nutshell through our email servers. Excellent, responsive customer service via chat within the application some hours of the day and then via email off-hours.
There are some things I want to do with the data in Nutshell (select people that belong to pending leads, say) that I need to do via export, handling in excel, manually tagging, and then reimporting the data.
We're using Nutshell to track our sales pipeline, manage communications with prospects, customers, and partners. We're also using Nutshell to handle and track lead nurturing messages.
Seems to be growing with us, so new things are added all the time. They have great support & are very responsive to requests or questions. Their desktop is sleek & very intuitive.
That is so COMPLETELY focused on sales that a lot of the things on the dashboard or the client page is so pointless for us. It is not really adjustable so that the primary information on the page is focused on what I want.
IT allows us to keep track of our clients and their information & conversations we have had with them.
Fun, easy to use software with most functionality
Somewhat limited in specific reporting capabilities, tracking leads when assigned and reassigned to people.
Tracking the cultivation of leads, making communication easy!
Nutshell's interface is user friendly, and aesthetically pleasing. The ability to organize clients is robust if you're willing to put in the time up front to organize your data entry.
The categories and labels are not super intuitive
Organizing leads within a sales funnel is a breeze!
I've used Nutshell for about 6 months now, and in that 6 months, I've seen several changes and improvements that help my workflow, especially around reporting. Very easy to use, and very straightforward.
I wish there was a bit more flexibility in tracking "to-dos" sometimes the software links only to the person, and I have to go back and copy to the lead itself, or the company I'm working with.
Tracking our customized sales process, as well as better tracking of individual communication with prospects and customers
I like NutShell since it is easy to use and is clean. I use this daily and it works wonders. I like the way I can use tags to break up my sales and information.
At some points It would be better to be able to update the time and location on map. i do notice that it is a hickup.
Tracking Calls and Information
I love the easy to use interface and dashboard.
Sometimes duplicates tasks on the dashboard.
Better able to keep track of prospects and sales flow.
Very easy to add new companies, contacts and customize the dashboard to fit my needs.
I haven't gotten very deep into it yet, but I'd like it to be more selective on what emails are attached to Nutshell. It appears that only full conversations can be linked, and not parts of a conversation. Still investigating that though.
Great way to stay connected with team members within our company to keep up on status of a client or project. Perfect when someone is on vacation.
All of the ability to customize data fields and add endless tags is extremely useful for labeling and organizing leads.
Setting up structured campaigns could be more intuitive.
Our business has very long sales cycles. Nutshell makes it easy to collect unique data points on each lead, along with personalized notes. This dramatically helps maintain thoughtful relationships with many customizers over long periods of time.
A very simple yet effective layout, nutshell keeps me on track and in touch with all of my clients, past and prospective.
Given the amount of data stored in Nutshell, sometimes one client can have two entries and some information can be lost between the two.
Solving a lack of customers, benefitting from an easy way to stay in touch with the clients we have already.
Simple and flexible. Our business is set up different than most, being able to set it up around what we need and how our sales cycle works is very reassuring. So far it has been stable and reliable. The mobile app has worked seamlessly. In my time using it there haven't been any problems.
Honestly not much, the only thing is that after a project is won or lost it stays in it's stage, but I have a feeling that is something that can be ironed out.
Staying on top of a lot of leads where there needs to be cushion time in between contact, it is a good way to stay on top clients.
Its easy to keep track of interactions with potential clients. You can also schedule weekly-monthly follow ups.
The interface can be a little cluttered at times. Email templates can be a little glitchy when you involve symbols in them.
You can track productivity and see which methods work best when emailing new potential clients, which is something that is very hard to do without nutshell
The ability to track our listings from contract to close.
We are a Commercial Real Estate company, so I would like to see more admin type tracking as far as the ability to assign tasks to our agents throughout the pre listing process.
We are able to have our entire database in one place. Saving us a tremendous amount of time.
The Dashboard lays out everything you need. In addition, I like the clarity of the fields and ease of use. Good, clear graphics.
I wish there was a "tips pop-up" to offer simple solutions / reminders to each activity you are working on during the day. The help chat feature is good, just a little slow in responsiveness.
Solving organizing accounts, contacts, etc. Good to see all the leads in a simple yet effective manner.
The multiples possibilities and the adaptation to our company
The research engine is not working very efficiently
Data research and analysis,
The ability to track team activity, progress, tasks in real time with incredible flexibility.
The inability to assign probabilities of success to different stages in the sales process.
Getting of the less reliable method of excel spreadsheets.
