"It works, there are benefits and struggles. Decent for cost."
What do you like best about Nutshell?

I like that I can bcc emails and have them go in to the site. I like that emails go where the email address is. I like that I can place files in people's records.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

I don't like that I can't put one person's email into another person's folder. Very often I have one point person for a client and I wish that their emails could be placed in the clients folder, rather than theirs. It is just messy and hard to use in that regard.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

This allows me to offload emails and hold client files on the cloud in a, somewhat, easy way.

"Somewhat helpful"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

The silos help to organize our sales approach

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

Reporting capability is weak. When I tried to customize certain reports, customer service simply stated the changes were not possible.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

It gives us a space on the cloud for those who are not at our campus to log in and see updates on projects. It also allows us to track projects more effectively from start to finish

"Good platform with room for improvement"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

The filters are helpful for sorting out our target audiences and the pipelines allow our team to stay organized.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

There are limits to the email functions and ability to contact people associated with our current leads

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've been able to organize our audience better through tags, which helps us communicate nuanced marketing messaging to different groups. This helps us maximize the potential for new lead generation.

"A little bit complicated and lacks of smart functions"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

Web access and plenty of integrations (with slack, for example). Easy to learn how to use

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

I miss some features that would improve the experience a lot, like having the option to clone the lead's history alongside with de cloned lead in itself. It has some bugs sometimes and the activity logs are sometimes lost.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can have a huge list of clients and companies and leads and it's easy to access in any device and easy to export to sheets

"Super useful but bugs still present"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

Contact details of all leads in one place. Ease of access to contact details. Tracking of leads and projects. Customization of the landing page.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

False-positive reads on emails sent to leads. Emails that are bouncing are not displayed on the company landing page, you have to click the contact to find out that the email is bouncing. It counts sent emails that are opened in Gmail as Read in Nutshell, which is not correct.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problems I am solving involve finding the contact emails of leads and determining the status of our relationship. The benefits I have realized include being able to view the kind of interactions we have had with the company previously, the kind of projects they have done with us without having to dig too deep.

"Useful for Small Businesses"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

I like how you manually get to set tasks for contacts and companies, setting the exact time and date to follow up. As an SDR it felt more time consuming, but it allowed me to know specifically who I should be emailing/calling, which leads were hot and which ones I was in contact with. Tip # 1 I would set my "call tasks" for the earliest time so they would pop up in my tasks at the top Tip # 2 Make sure your company is working off of the "Companies" page and not the "Contact" that way you don't have cross threading with contacts, you'll be able to see all communication for the contact on the company page

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

I disliked how you had to create a "Lead" and a "company" separately, you also had to add contacts under the Lead view on the company, or else they wouldn't show up when you were looking only at the Lead page.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Staying organized and completing outreach for my job as an SDR.

"Better than nothing"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

It is pretty intuitive when you're on the desktop version. The pricing is reasonable.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

Incredibly glitchy when using the mobile version and the app. The search functionality could be better. The inability for leads to be "red" after a job is closed. We have steps that occur after the outcome is decided.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is a good place for us to visually see the steps in the 89-Paint process.

" is a great tool to manage the attention and management of clients in an efficient and powerful way"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

Is a great easy tool and practice to use, it can be synchronized with various emails thus improving the handling of information between different options, it allows you to manage contacts and tasks in a very useful way.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

for me it has been a great choice of work so I have no outstanding negative aspects to mention, I think the only negative thing was that for a moment the tool can be frozen but this in a matter of minutes manages to improve.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is a tool that gives you many benefits while you use it because thanks to it you can maintain an effective contact with your customers, greatly improving the way the process of capture and sale is developed.

"Good"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

Navigation seems to be fairly easy. I can typically find what and who I want within a couple of clicks.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

Ok, I was recently trying to get a subset of companies, contacts, and emails. Nutshell would not do what I wanted. I actually had to run two separate reports to get the data. The bad part was manually going through the reports to integrate the data. This was a real problem.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm the marketing guy, so most of what I need and use is finding relevant information about clients and potential clients. Sales is more concerned with the way the pipeline works.

"Fine for the basics"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

Good categorisation for clients. I can sort lists easily to find out who is where or when who hasn't been contacted in a while.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

There is not much support when it comes to integrating other tools or if you mention something is not working or could be working much better - you just get told to "suggest it in the community forum" to get "votes". It's not a feature I'm suggesting - it's not working.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

The ability to see communication to clients from other team members is invaluable - it has saved me from many embarrassing phone calls.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

The simplicity and clarity in organizing contacts and companies

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

It does not track emails well with the inputted contacts and companies on the website. Salesforce does it a bit better but Nutshells price is far more attractive

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Using Nutshell"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

Our team makes Nutshell work for what we need because we're not necessarily a sales team. We use it mostly for the processes as we need an easy to change to-do list for the processes we have in place.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

When you update a process, it adds in the new tasks/updates to the current leads. This is super inconvenient for the way we use Nutshell. It causes so much additional work for our team to go back and get rid of those added tasks.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've been utilizing tags more, and we use the 'tasks' as a way to keep easy notes on our leads.

"Nutshell has been improved a lot and has turned into a great CRM over the years"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

The portal is easy to access and update your various leads. The sorting/ability to customize the process and your views is nice.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

Doesn't integrate to other applications, is NOT responsive and doesn't offer a mobile app, the UI is a bit dated. Reports could be more intuitive as well. No real time collaboration on leads.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

We store all potential projects (leads) in Nutshell to manage our sales pipeline. Nutshell helps show us what is coming and when including what specific services/needs are included in the project. It helps plan for resourcing, sales goals, and helps drive our company forward.

"Pros and Cons"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

Easy to use and quite flexible. There are many options and you can use it to manage a lot or you can use it for simple tasks

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

The timeline on the leads (where all of the project messages go) is completely useless if you have several projects with the same client. If you send an email and bcc@nutshell.com the email will get recorded on all of the leads associated with that client so you will end up with a ton of messages that don't belong to the lead. It is quite frustrating, to say the least, to go through the timelines in meetings reviewing leads and not being able to see information that it is relevant to that lead. Salespeople particularly have no patience for this.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lead assignment including territories.

"Simple CRM, Wonky Attribution"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

It is easy to add contacts, notes on them, and where they stand in the lead process. It's also easy to update them to change out whether they're quality or not, they've been won (and for how much), and so forth. Great overview overall.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

The bugs. It is way too buggy and there is a learning curve—we have to schedule calls for new members in order to show them how it works and what our own process for updating is. For the bugs, it's mainly been misattribution and duplicates. Our form passes along parameters, it's all good until Nutshell generates the contact. It'll either (a) clip off some of the parameters, or (b) create a contact with name then create an empty contact with the parameters.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use it to improve our productivity. It is good as a standalone product for reviewing where every lead stands and accompanying information, but it's been used for calls mostly. If anybody has a question on a particular person, we go to Nutshell to bring them up and see where they're at, plus notes on them. Makes meetings on leads go by faster.

"Nutshell CRM is Okay"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

One of the things that I liked the most was that it would list the people linked to a certain account at the top of each persons profile. This made things much easier when you are trying to figure who is involved with a certain company.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

There were unfortunately many things that I disliked about the software. The search tool was probably the worst part if it all. I hate to give them a bad review but the search tool did not understand anything I would want to search, and the only way to successfully search a client or company name was to spell it out completely. Which defeats the purpose of a drop down for the search tool.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nutshell was a great software in the beginning for a CRM software. There were many benefits to the software such as a easy way to keep all of your client's information together and to track your conversations and interactions with them.

"Easy to use CRM for small business. "
What do you like best about Nutshell?

CRM does not have to be complicated or expensive. Easy to set up and get going. Nutshell makes using a CRM pretty straight forward. The interface does not lag and the UI/UX is good. They have come a long way helping sales teams who want to keep track of their metrics and for managers to drill down in reports to see where improvements can occur as well as forecast.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

While Nutshell desires to be a very easy to use CRM, they do not have the dashboard analytics and reports that are available with other programs.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nutshell helps define and track the sales process in order to create more opportunities, close, and recognize revenue. Cuts down the hassle of needing to spend time and money to customize for a specific business. Very inexpensive CRM option.

"Great CRM to stat from scratch with -importing a database from other CRM, not so much. "
What do you like best about Nutshell?

Enjoy the lead stats in an easy to view format. The dashboard is generally very clear, although the new update isn't my favorite. Admin view of what all sales reps are doing is super helpful.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

The ability to bulk update tasks would be a huge benefit that Nutshell hasn't realized yet. The import from a CSV leaves something to be desired...especially larger imports such as when we added our entire database or larger groups of new contacts.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Time management when tracking tasks and assigning prospects to sales reps has gotten much quicker.

"Good but opportunity for improved service is the golden ticket waiting to be taken"
What do you like best about Nutshell?

I like the clean look of the software and my favorite tool is that one that allows me to take a picture of a business card and it puts the person into my database. Also like the feature that allows me to makes calls from within the app and log it as I go

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

Hours of customer service is weak. Appearntly the west coast customers are not as desirable as east coast If you don't make a call by 11am you will not reach them. So for west coast customers we have 1/3 of the day to discover a problem or we are supportless. The problem of duplicates still remains. Sometimes they're are 5-10 of same clients. Need a better method of cleaning. Reports are very limited.
