Podium helps us to easily communicate with our customers in several ways. First, Podium works hand in glove with our field service management program to send appointment reminders to our customers. Once the technician completes the service call, Podium automatically follows up with an invitation to post an online review. We also use the web chat feature on our website which gives us another avenue to communicate with new & existing customers in addition to the telephone. Finally, we have a marketing plan that we use to announce special sales, services & helpful information to our customers. All of these features really jump started our ability to communicate with customers & potential customers via text message. It was super easy to integrate Podium with our field management program. We were up & running in no time. No shows have gone way down because of the appointment reminders, and customers can simply text us if their schedule changes. Our online reviews have really increased significantly, and are for the most part, incredibly positive. Many of our customers prefer text messaging vs a phone call or email. Those that don't can easily unsubscribe from the service. When we are slow, we can send out a targeted text message campaign to drum up business. Everyone we have worked with at Podium has been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The customer support has been outstanding.
No downsides for us with Podium. It has been a winner for us.
Podium provides another avenue to communicate with customers in addition to phone & email. We can do so much more with Podium added into the mix.
I like that we are able to text our clients and have a record of all our conversations without having to worry about them being accidentally deleted. I also like that it provides an instant way to communicate with our clients and syncs with our social media and google accounts. It was easy to get all of our team members set up and ready to text our clients. I like that our clients are able to text us as well to one central number and our entire team is able to see it and keep track of the conversations. We use it every day.
I wish the customer support was better. There have been times when an issue arose and the support team did not respond immediately. It took them several days to reply and was a pain in the rear.
Before if anyone communicated via text to our clients, it was on one phone or another and messages would be lost or techs would receive messages and not respond. Our clients would be confused as to who was texting them or what number to contact for service. Now we have one central number that is our adverstised number.
We love being able to text our customers. Many times this is the best way to reach them. It's very easy to use and the customer service from podium is always prompt and excellent.
There's only 2 things I don't like. I am not a fan of the newer mobile app. The original mobile app interacted exactly the way the desktop version does. The newer app is not as easy to navigate as the online version. The other thing I wish was possible is to import more than one number for a customer. Many times in our customer database we have multiple phone numbers and in order to import them into podium we have to very tediously eliminate numbers to get one per customer. I wish there was the option to import multiple numbers.
Contacting customers via text is the best benefit for us. It's quick and easy and sometimes the most effective communication.
Having used Podium for a small (20 employees) and larger company (400+ employees) I can say it is best service for review management in my experience. Not only that, but being able to use Podium as our web chat service and another avenue for client communication (individual or mass texting) has been a huge benifit. It's easy to roll out to the team, there is always someone from Podium availble to help and it's easy to understand.
If there was one thing I would change it would be a direct integreation into our dispatch software, but that would only be out of convience to only have one screen open at a time.
We no longer need to have seperate services for review management, web chats and mass marketing.

Podium makes answering questions from clients super convenient and easy to use! We love the webchat feature and have gotten many new clients from it. Our customer support team is quick to respond and resolve any issue we come across (which aren't many). The onboarding team makes implemantion to new locations quick and easy. It also very simple to integrate our client list and marketing contact lists into the system. We use Podium all day, every day - even on weekends and after hours!
There are occassional glitches with sending bulk messages but other than that Podium is a seamless, easy to use platform that has increased revenue across all 9 locations we have incorporated this into.
Podium has helped decrease our number of no showed appointments because clients are able to respond to our appointment reminders if they need to reschedule. It is also making it more convenient for clients to reach out during times when they aren't able to call the office.
