Love that this is easy to use. I learned a few different bookkeeping softwares and definitely this one is the best one. The reports are easy to pull together and there are many of them as well.
How some things are extra for example the payroll module, or payments via credit card as well. We have explored these options but, they are costly so we just stick without.
Easy to keep track of all bookkeeping weather its receipts, payments, bills, etc its saved lots of time and everything is just so much more organized.
Love the mileage tracker and ease of use when tracking between personal or business expenses.
I have nothing that I dislike so far! Its been pretty great!
One problem that Quickbooks has helped with is, keeping up with estimated yearly taxes.
We have over 50 employees between the church and the preschool. Before Covid-19 we had university part time employees and a lot of turnover. QuickBooks is such a wonderful software for keeping tax information up to date and very dependable The quarterly and annual tax filing is so simplified and accurate. Payroll every two weeks is easy and QuickBooks stays on top of the updates from the government
There isn't much I don't like about this software. There was a time when I hated it because if I had a question I was on hold forever to reach help. I could reach them via chat and sometime they could help me; but they could not remote like when you have a live phone conversation but the wait to reach them was horrible. However, they now have it set up where you request them to call you. That way you can work on other things until they called you. One thing that is aggravating some time is how long staff would take to "figure out the problem" as it seemed they were going through books to find an answer; however, they seem better trained now and especially when they access remote with your computer seem to be very knowledgeable. I guess my like and dislike seem to meld into I am very happy with this software.
Right now I am not having any problems. In the past I needed assistance when I googled and could not figure out how to fix a problem. For instance, just yesterday a check "bounced" and I needed to enter the bank fee plus deduct the deposited amount from my bank account. I googled and followed QB's instructions and all was solved. Other times it has been having them help me remotely, like when I accidentally messed up payroll. Too much to give in detail but they knew exactly how to "delete" the payroll without harming my tax payments and then redo the payroll. Solved. I would have not had the confidence on my own to do that because I was worried how it would affect the taxes, but they knew it would not. Real relief!
Having worked in accounting/bookkeeping for several years, I find the desktop version much more user-friendly than QBO. It's easy to navigate and the "help" section is actually helpful! My favorite feature for manual processing is the batch transaction entry option.
I wish QBD was portable like QBO is. That's really all I dislike about it.
Desktop Pro allows us to work easily with all our clients extremely well & print reports with ease. Seeing "where you are" in the process from the Accountant Center is critical and easy to do.
The integration with small businesses and the easy access.
I do not dislike anything about Quickbooks
I solve all accounting problems on QuickBooks desktop pro
QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop Pro makes it relatively easy to keep track of business expenses and revenue.
I don't like that payments from Intuit are automatically processed and you can't initially note the date when the payments are deposited in my bank account. Have to go in and amend the date, including the dates associated with the fees that Intuit Payments charges. This becomes more complicated when you have lots of payments.
Enables our company to accurately track expenses and revenues and do financial reporting. The benefits we realize over manually tracking this information is that it saves us time that we can use to generate revenues or develop new business.
Manual bookkeeping used to be a full time job even in a firm as small as ours. With Quickbooks it is a part time job that frees me up to pursue other aspects of the business such as sales and customer relations. There are no more worries about mathematical errors since Quickbooks does the work for me. Also, filing taxes and reports are taken care of and are accurate.
There is nothing I dislike about Quickbooks software. It has made my job easier and is accurate. Some of the functions are not applicable to my company so if I ever need to access irregular reports I sometimes have difficulty figure out where to go. The help function always walks me through these issues. So, though I may sometimes need to apply more time to a task when I am unfamiliar with it, in the end Quickbooks does help me finish.
The biggest benefit is the government tax filings and year end wrap ups. Quickbooks solves the problem of having to compile these reports and file with accuracy. Having the W-2's and year end filings taken care of assures me of proper and timely filings. My biggest benefit has been saving time with bookkeeping. Quickbooks has freed me up to be more involved in product development and sales.
There is a reason it is the preferred business accounting software for small business. It is comprehensive, ease to use and learn, contains excellent reporting tools across a broad spectrum of topics, the Corporate Snapshot is a useful tool for gauging the financial health of ones business. The filtering capabilities allows reports to be tailored to meet business and personal reporting needs.
Customer Support could use improvement, as it very much depends on the ability of the resource on the other end. Generally speaking, this is an area that could use improvement - as it is not nearly as helpful as many other software providers - especially given it's dominance in the market.
Financial Accounting, Financial Performance Tracking, AR and Invoice Reconciliation, Monthly P&L, Tax Accounting, Financial Reporting and Dashboards
Its advanced cash flow management system. Easy setup and implement. Supports multi monitors. Very elegant design and smart user interface.
It doesn't have cloud support. Update support is only upto 3 years.
With QuickBooks Desktop Pro, I can streamline and easily manage all my customers, vendors, employees, invoices and transactions from a single interface. This has saved our business lots of time and money.
QB desktop is definitely an industry standard. Being able to access client accounts and download information directly makes this smooth and easy sailing. Having clients themselves, or previous accountants using it as well makes it easy as well. Reports clear and lots of important different options such as: billing, reoccurring payments etc - simply the best.
advertising seems excessive, would like to opt out of receiving repeated info on services I do not need or want
Easy input especially via downloads, enables us to complete monthly P&L's for clients quickly and move on to next tasks
I like that you only need to pay a one time only fee for this software and not a monthly fee.
This software is local to your computer so it isnt as beneficial if you have more than one user
It is being used as a one stop shop for all of my accounting needs. It is easy to use and set up
Easy to use platform. Both accounting employees in the same office can access files for posting and reviewing.
Honestly, the only dislike is changing my password every so often.
Quickbooks makes reporting easy by class or dates, as needed. It saves us time gathering info.
The most helpful aspect of Desktop Pro is it's robust reporting capacity. From basic, simple financial reports to complex and in depth analysis, this program will never fail to supply what you need.
The speed and frequency of their updates can be a bit of an annoyance. Intuit likes to have updates push through right near month end time, or just as tax season is in full on mode.
I am able to run "CFO" type analysis for my clients through the reporting abilities. The cash flow projections are amazing, provided the client gives you realistic expectations. With the bank and credit card linked uploads for transactions, we are able to typically run a monthly of 800 - 100 transactions in less than 1 hour. This equals real bottom line dollars as we have monthly subscription pricing.
I love the simplicity in the software to create, send and manage invoices.
The only thing that I dislike is that sometimes a report may be off.
I am solving my bookeeping issues, I am able to keep my client accounts organized.
The most liked feature with qbd pro is that it suits the legacy users who are not familiar with qbo. Qbd licensing is cost effective when compared to qbo. Qbd extends the support for other external interfaces so that you can transmit the data from any accounting system to pay your invoices.
Qbd always computes the price automatically and hence original data will be lost when transmitting the price from other accounting systems.
Our customers are able to pay their invoices using qbd seamlessly. They can also view their credits.
The software is quite user friendly. I use the view open windows function for ease of referring to reports, detail, etc. I also like the multiple screen function that is now available. The report capabilities along with generating 1099's at the end of the year are great time savers.
I wish we could reclassify transactions with this software, just as we are able to do when using the Accountants version.
I provide multiple clients monthly financial statements in a timely manner thanks for QB Desktop Pro. I am also able to issue annual 1099's in January with ease. I like being able to enter the vendor information including tax id numbers throughout the year.
Accounting tool that provides multi-monitor support and past due stamps through improved cash flow.
Can be expensive and can also get complex when adding a lot of data.
Accounting software for small business. I find it useful for easy bookkeeping.
QUALITY AND COMFORTABILITY OF THE SOFTWARE, VERY EASY TO USE
SOFTWARE SPEED, VERY SLOW AND NOT FAST ENOUGH
COMMUNICATION
Quick books are indeed about being quick: in adding your custom information, creating a template for invoices and shipping lists, adding a company's logo, entering payments, getting a report of your sales. It is easy to set up up things and start working away. Also, good customer support.
I wish there was a way to easily work on multiple invoices at the same time (to have a way of having multiple windows open).
Invoices, entering payment information, managing customers information, generating sales reports.
The simplicity of Quickbooks the software and how easy it is to input everything into each category. We chose this software so we could run multiple companies from one system with an easy way to move between them all and this is perfect. You can move between companies within minutes all on the same program. It works really well for us and out accountants. We can easily see what areas the business is spending more on and produce yearly budgets to keep us on track.
Sometimes I find it can black out and need to be restarted and I am also frustrated at the lack of banks available for bank fees as this would be a real bonus for us. For me there are not many negatives for this software.
We are easily able to monitor our expenditure and income while being able to produce easy to read reports. The real benefits for us are how quickly we can produce mass invoices, this has really reduced my time to do these each quarter.
Powerful and intuitive to use. Go to accounting software for all business sizes.
Feature updates don't happen too often, so don't expect a lot of changes.
Managing books and accounting department.
QB's makes my job so much easier. I'm able to enter and pay invoices quickly. Reports are extremely helpful for following a/p's and a/r's.
Support for QB's isn't the best. I've attempted researching/contacting without great results.
I use QB's daily at work. It makes my job so much easier. There are four different business within QB's that I manage.
I have used it for 20 years and the program is updated but does not lose its familiarity.
Wish the online version was a little less pricey.
I have multiple businesses I manage in QuickBooks and it keeps everything organized easily and efficiently.
It’s inexpensive and excellent to track expenses & p&l and easy to use & very intuitive. It is great also when sourcing out your books.
You can make changes sometimes with out it saving original. You can make up numbers & change last minute.
It allows organizations to scale their business very quickly & you can use whether you are a small or mid or large organization.
QB desktop pro is easy to use and a great option for clients who want to use a non on-line solution,
The ease of sharing files is a bit clunky, and can be problematic at times. A good file sharing program is a great option for a solution to this.
I am solving the problem of a client paying too much for an online program. The benefit is the cost for someone who doesn't need the online option.
I ran my business in QB Pro. Easy to create reports, asset tracking, payroll.
somewhat confusing setting up cost of goods
I track all my business in QB Pro. Accounts payable, receivable, payroll, inventory
I love that with QuickBooks I can pretty much do ALL of my ap/ar within the one platform
In our company it's hard to get an accurate measure of supply so sometimes our numbers are skewed within QB. That could be specific to just our industry, so I'm not sure if it would be across the board.
We have someone using QuickBooks right now who has almost no accounting experience other than going to business school, and she's more than capable of using it. The tasks we use QB for are simple enough that anyone who understands the interface could be good at it.
I love how intuitive it is for everyone to use regardless of your experiences are prior to using it. It has everything you would ever need
It can be a bit basic but it covers the majority of my needs
It’s helped me organize the accounting and financial aspects of the family-owned business I work for, without needing an advanced degree in accounting
Ease of use. With no prior knowledge I was able to get comfortable with the program within a couple of days. I also think it is easier to use than Quickbooks online, which I tried after getting familiar with Quickbooks Desktop Pro.
Downloading transactions and unmatching many individual transactions can become time consuming.
Track cashflow, run reports easily, run financials easily.
It is easy to use. You don't need to be an accountant to use it.
Voiding checks is an issue. It voids it based on the month that the check was written
Ability to close my books faster. Ability to save my backups within the app and keeping copies of bills and documentation with the entries.
