I really like the user interface. It's very intuitive and easy to read, so it was a very quick learning curve. So I almost do it for fun each day.
I wish it allowed me to track other things, that would help me get an overall picture of my business. For example, I would like to track my LLC Partners' Capital account transactions.
It's giving me one place to track all my income and expenses for my LLC business records. It minimizes my need to input every expense because those that repeat can be set up as recurring expenses.
Where should I start? Well, Freshbooks is a breeze when it comes to creating invoices and managing expenses. It's fast, easy to master and gets the job done without much effort. And whenever required the support team is there.
To be very frank, I cannot think of anything that I dislike about this tool. I made a switch from another tool in the similar domain and Freshbooks is way better in almost every way.

Freshbooks is continuously innovating their product! They release a lot of new features that are actually useful to me as a freelancer. I use Freshbooks daily for time-tracking, invoicing and reporting.
If you have a feature request, they listen but you don't often see action. Nothing I've requested so far (no matter how small) has actually happened.

My old way of creating invoices was with a spreadsheet, so I look much more professional and since client names are still in the system, if I'm adding additional payments, I just type the name in and it fills in most of the info I need.
Freshbooks makes it easy. Everything is extremely clear and easy to follow, even for a first-time business owner, which I am.

The new version feels harder to navigate than the old version. I am still torn about keeping it or moving back to the basic. But I cant tell if it's just habit from using the program for so long. I also don't like that they phased out the 50 cent business payments and PayPal.
I organize my invoices in Freshbooks so I never forget to bill anyone. I also get paid quickly. It makes invoicing less of a thing I have to deal with and more of a simple task I take care of and move on from.
FreshBooks has saved me hundreds of hours over the course of the 8 or so years I've been using it. It makes it easy for me to create, send, and keep track of invoices, and also easy for my clients to pay online via credit card or bank transfer.
I have one client who's had a consistent problem:if she pays by credit card one month, her card is automatically charged a month later for the next invoice. I have to manually delete her credit card number each time she pays, so that it isn't automatically debited again.
I issue a lot of recurring invoices for Web hosting. Depending on the client, they go out monthly or every 3, 6, or 12 months, and I have several dozen clients' payment schedules to keep track of. FreshBooks makes it VERY easy to create these invoices automatically at the correct intervals.

They have outstanding customer service which answers on the second ring, if not sooner. I have found that they go to great lengths to create an outstanding customer experience. I also like the fact that their application is neatly organized and clutter-free. Their help desk files are easily accessible, but they are just as happy to speak to you on the phone to resolve your issues.
I wish that they could provide buy links that we could use with our website products. That would be an excellent addition. With more people selling online, it would help if we could bill these things directly into the Freshbooks interface rather than having another app for that (like using paypal buttons)
It solves the issue of billing my clients. I need something that's fast and easy for me, but also user friendly for my clients who need to pay a bill. Benefits: bill everyone thru the same interface, tracking of open invoices, tracking of bills paid, reports by month, quarter or year, by client, in total and other combinations. Also it allows you to track your billable time with the billing app that it includes.

It is important that we send an estimate to our customer so they can review it before we turn it into an invoice. It is also very easy to customize everything
I love the way I can track my time for each project and then it automatically calculates my invoice amounts for me based on my hourly rate. I can import my time schedule straight to the invoice so my clients can see the exact hours I worked. Invoicing in general is so easy, and they look professional too.
If there's a downside, I haven't found it yet.
Accepting payments online is really easy with Freshbooks, since I can direct deposit them into my business bank account. It also has a good visualizer of my revenue so I can see at a glance how my month is going. I think it's helpful that I can add discounts to my invoices as well and they are automatically calculated for me. It's a nice tough when I want to reward a client, because when they see it in writing on the invoice it seems like it has more impact.
Freshbooks is a very SIMPLE solution for small businesses.
I wish when there are 2 business accounts under the same user, they could use separate email addresses when sending invoices.

I don't need any other software. Freshbooks does everything: automatic invoicing, estimates, expense tracking, and tax reports. I have one website (and mobile app) that keeps me on top of my accounting so I can focus on the work that I really enjoy.
I feel like the amount I pay monthly is kind of high when there are some features I don't use. I used to have the free version which suited my purposes pretty well.
I spend a minimal amount of time having to track my finances and can focus on the actual work. It makes tax time super fast and easy, as well. The automatic invoicing saves me a ton of time by not having to remember to set up and send invoices every month.
