I like that Easy Books is very user friendly and easy to use. It is also fairly cheap.
So far, I have not found anything I really dislike about Fresh Books. Overall pleased with the service.
Fresh Books makes it easy to send invoices online to my clients. I set up their account and it sends them an invoice before their payments are due. This is much easier than physically mailing invoices every month. I can also send reminders if they are nearing their payment deadline. More efficient for me and less worry.
Freshbooks is easy to use and creates nice looking invoices. I am able to set up recurring invoices for clients and they can set up automatic payments. Also categorizing expenses is pretty easy and helpful during tax season.
The time tracking and creating invoices from projects needs to improve. Here is why. Many of us freelancers are trying to move away from hourly rates and charging based on monthly fixed retainers. The way freshbooks works is not geared toward this. For instance, I have a team of contractors that work for me. All of them track time in freshbooks and charge me an hourly rate. I want to translate that hourly rate into my fixed retainer when i invoice the client but to make it so that the client does not see my contractor's hours I have to manually go through the entire invoice and delete the time recorded by my contractors.For some invoices this means 40 to 50 lines of tasks that need redacting. A simple way around this would be to have a function that simply allows me to exclude the amount of hours from the client facing invoice. At the moment there is no way to do this. Also in regard to time tracking, i would love a way to integrate tasks from basecamp to Freshbook's invoices and track time for each one. Now there is a chrome app for this but it's buggy and doesnt integrate well. The thing that is a bit frustrating about these limitiations is that Freshbooks talks about and encourages freelancers to move away from hourly rates but doesn't provide the tools to make it easier for us to do so.

I appreciate the portability of FreshBooks. Further the ability to time projects in whatever increment I wish makes it very versatile. Also, creating and sending invoices to my clients via email is easy and efficient.

I like the ability to automate invoicing online and do not have to rely on a professional accountant to manage the process. For a startup, it is a great tool. Automatic emailing and statements
Not being able to enter expenses in Naira is frustrating.
I can quickly and easily generate invoices, track expenses, notify clients I've received payment, and even generate invoices on the go.
I like the user friendliness. It’s easy to navigate and to learn to use.
I dislike some of the glitches with the software. For example, my time sheet would go back to when I started with the company I work for and not automatically load to present date.
We use it to track our time spent on client files and to bill clients.
This software focuses on one thing and gets it done perfectly: Making invoices. No crazy features that a small business owner would never use. Just a simple UI that produces a professional invoice. It is also nice to be able to email the client right out of the software. No saving PDFs and writing up emails to send invoices.
I find the UX to be a bit clunky with adding payments manually. Clients send me checks so I have to go login, find them, create a payment, etc. I wish I could just click "PAID" or something more simple. Also I've not been able to figure out how to easily duplicate an invoice.

that I can invoice and have it linked to my PayPal account and I can restrict PayPal to not accept credit card payments in the invoice system. very important since I am a small business with few clients so they understand I need to keep fees down.
there's nothing I don't like about it. It imports all my bank account info automatically only improvement would be if they could so the same with credit card charges.

Doesn't allow for as detailed tracking as I need for projects that are being worked on. We combine Freshbooks and Harvest for this reason. It works well for us.
Super easy and fast to get paid on work we have done for our clients. We have seen faster collections and an increase in revenue since switching to e-mail invoicing.
Freshbooks makes it easy to send professional looking estimates, bills, and year end reports. It's intuitive and was easy to set up and integrate my logo. When clients get a bill, it links to PayPal for easy payment which I appreciate. It's been a great fit for me for the past 4 years.
I can't think of anything I do not like. Sometimes I find my message from Freshbooks does not get opened- it comes from FB rather than you. I have learned to tell clients to expect an invoice from Freshbooks which helps.
My marketing business allows small businesses to meet potential clients. It's a side business and allows me to work from home and care for my family.
That it is cloud based. The reports are easy to read. And I especially like that both me (non-accounting entrepreneur) and my bookkeeper like it and understand it.
It doesn't link to the old BaseCamp 2.0 that I am still using.
This makes invoicing super easy. I can track everything. And I recently started using the pay by credit card option.
I love that estimates are easily converted to invoices. Recurring invoices are automatically sent to clients and it's easy for them to allow auto-billing. I also like that I can see when a client views an invoice.
I don't have anything that I dislike. They serve all of my needs and more.
I am able to easily handle the billing portion of my business. It's easy to know who has not paid and to follow up on those payments with the automatic late invoice notification.

I love that its mobile and user friendly. I hated accounting class! I am not an accountant, I'm an engineer. But as a 1 man show I have to be good at both. FB has kept the financials easy and quick so that I don't spend much time on the admin side.
Overall I think it's a great program. I probably don't care for the time-keeping function. I live off my hourly billing and try to track every client utilizing the timer, but the invoicing by this is a little clunky.
I'm solving the problem of me NOT being an accountant. A 1 man shop needs to wear all hats, and FB has made invoicing and accounting easy.
I love the automation that freshbooks provides. Once set, the system handles recurring invoicing and even allows for automated reminders. The customization options allow me to invoice in a way that works with my business model. The reporting makes end of year reconciliation a breeze and the ability to connect to my bank account to auto-import expenses saves so much time that it makes the difference between having to hire an assistant or just do it myself.
I like to see the expense function allowed batch process updates to expense categories.
When I started my business I was manually producing invoices every month and it didn't take long for that to get out of hand. Saddled with all of the other responsibilities i found myself missing invoices and having a hard time keeping up with who had paid and who had not. The accounting function was added after initial adoption and it has become a valuable tool as well.
I love the easy time tracking and invoicing that FreshBooks provides. Each client has separate project tasks, which makes it easy to generate my invoices on a semi-monthly basis.
My only complaint is the client limit with my current version, but I am able to easily increase that as needed at the next paid level of service.

I hate accounting and billing. Really. Just let me do what I do best... And then there is FreshBooks, like the Accounting Elves who come in and do all the heavy lifting to make me look like an Accounting and Billing Genius. The entire setup is so easy, the training and assistance is ever present, and once you are set up, using it to track time, track expenses and send invoices is simple and streamlined. My clients appreciate the excellent service I provide through my business and since I use FreshBooks, the billing and accounting process is excellent as well--and it wouldn't be if I were scraping it together with a spreadsheet and some templates. Using this makes me feel like I have an entire department supporting me!

Using FreshBooks saves me hours and hours every month, gives me a system to use, and also provides my clients with professional invoices and the right answers when we need to confirm hours or payment.
