The amazing time tracker, by far my favorite feature, no other cloud software come close on this widget. The other great feature is that you get allow other contractors to login in add hours to the timesheet, even using the widget.
The accounting reports are not as good as other providers and multi-currency support could be better.
Time tracking and invoicing with online payments. Freshbooks makes it very simple with a clean easy to use UI.
It is very agile and practical in use. Communication with customers, integration with Paypal. Gives an overview of the financial health of my business (cash flow)
Even when it has very useful summaries, i think that more detailed summaries are missing. More quote templates would be nice.

I love that everything is fully automated. All I have to do is add my clients, generate invoices, and Freshbooks takes care of the rest. Clients can pay by check, credit card, or Pay Pal. I think the software is very user-friendly.
I wish that the accompanying mobile app had a few more features from the desktop version.
Freshbooks is taking care of all of my invoicing, expenses, and pretty much everything I will need for my taxes at the end of the year. It's been a huge time saver!
I had zero learning curve with Freshbooks. Dropped my logo in, wrote up an invoice, and sent to client within 5 minutes. Freshbooks automatically emailed it to my client, who paid me through PayPal. No glitches, headaches, or need to consult the help system. Fantastic! I also have used it to take pictures of all those paper receipts from coffee shops, etc and record them as business expenses. This is a service you have to pay QuickBooks to use. And I did need to call customer service to ask them how to record the PayPal fees - their service department was fast and helpful. They have a new user in me!

I need a quick and easy way to invoice customers, collect payments, record expenses. Freshbooks provides an affordable, slick, and reliable solution.
I like the invoice generation. Easy interface. Can plug in all the information I need. I particularly like the section 'notes visible to client' Couldn't be any clearer! I can easily send the invoice generated via email or print it out. In my case I save most as drafts and print them myself.
I wish there was a more user friendly way to organize past invoices. When I go to look back at what we've billed, it can get tedious. And I could miss things (although I never miss anything).
We just use Freshbooks to generate invoices and keep track of overdue invoices. I certainty don't use all the capabilities available.
Freshbooks makes time tracking, expense tracking and invoicing a BREEZE. I used to struggle and dread invoicing my clients--where are all those little taxi receipts? Did I include all the materials for that project? How many meetings did I have this month with each client? I hated it and consequently was often late and inaccurate--I know I lost a lot of money in expenses that I never recouped. Freshbooks saves the day! It's easy, it's fun, it's intuitive and the customer support for the few times I've gotten stuck has been outstanding--kind, patient, not remotely condescending or hurried.
I honestly can't think of anything I dislike. Perhaps reconciling downloads from my bank wasn't completely smooth, but that's a minor blip on the screen.
I'm a solo-preneur leadership coach and consultant. I travel a lot for business and have multiple clients at multiple billing rates. Freshbooks makes keeping all the travel expenses and time tracking so EASY--even when I'm seeing multiple clients on a single trip. With the push of a button I can put the right expenses, time and materials with the right clients and generate an invoice. What used to take hours and even days (because I dreaded it and procrastinated) now literally takes 20 minutes max. Unbelievable--and my invoices always look polished and organized and professional.
I like how Freshbooks is much easier to use than QuickBooks Online. It is easy to add customers/clients and it is easy to invoice or bill out customers for work that you have completed. Invoicing is my favorite part. Invoicing has so many great features like when the customer receives the invoice it can be a PDF. The customer/client can once they open the invoice they can see what other invoices are outstanding. Great resource for being a small business owner to collect money. :)
There really isn't anything that I dislike about Freshbooks. It is geared for the small business owner and for that it works great. Since it is cloud based, sometimes can have an issue, but that is more internet/wifi problem and not Freshbooks.
Easy to send invoices out and easy for customers/clients to see the money that they owe, makes collecting money easier.
Very functional and easy tool for invoicing and payments. It is extremely easy to use. You can be set up and ready go very quickly. Their customer support and training are superb.

Freshbooks is easy to set up and use and allows clients to click and pay effortlessly. I noticed a marked upturn in the speed of invoice payment once I implemented this. Also, its great with integrating with my help desk tool and my CRM tool - no repeating data entry. The auto-billing feature is a godsend as well.
One shortcoming is the inability to set terms of payment (due-dates) on a client-by-client basis. Not sure why they haven't added this. For me it's not a problem, but with others this is a real downside.
Saves so much time - and makes payment process very simple for clients. This really helped my collection times, improving my cash flow. Also - its great to be able to tell a client they can login and see their account history.

There is an opportunity to improve some of the navigation. For example, there is no way to navigate to a list of all clients from the top navigation and/or home screen.

FreshBooks is a software that has improved our accounting and expense management and offers a variety of functions where we can generate and track invoices to customers, see the history for better control. It is excellent, very useful, easy to use, understand and use, saves time and keeps us organized while working. Its interface is well designed so I can easily manage and customize when it comes to keeping track and reporting on any project.
It has been a good solution, it has offered us many features where we have saved time and money. I can say that for some users it may seem that it lacks some more advanced features and it would be up to you how you use it.
It is a very complete tool has streamlined our work in the administrative part is faster billing and at the same time facilitates the collection and provides easy payment methods for customers which is satisfactory for the accounting department, so we can also create automatic reminders for delinquent customers and make the respective adjustments of collections. It is an easy to use platform that helps us to control expenses according to the needs of the company.
Time account monitoring is straightforward in Freshbooks and is simple to use. With this capability, we can more easily find the business activity as a whole. This has made it possible for us to calculate the amount of time we spend on unaccountable work that is related to the business, in addition to the accounted hours of customers. We may have been able to change costs accordingly, in addition to being more effective in the unaccountable activities.
The initial account has a good visual representation of income and expenses, however it only shows the last six months. This continues to be quite helpful, however I wish I could look at this type of representation for various time frames. Couldn't remember which classes had previously been awarded similar rates. It should be beneficial to Freshbooks to have an accounting professional suggest a class of providers already incorporated, thus, ensuring uniformity of reported collections.
We use Freshbooks products for all cost tracking, client invoicing and project duration control. I use it on a personal level and in addition each of the professionals I work for has an account. The employees who provide me with services also pay me through Freshbooks. We can also make an appointment with our accountant to give you the information you want. Since Freshbooks was implemented, 80% of accounts receivable are paid within no more than thirty days from the date the invoice is issued by the customer. In the Freshbooks phase, prior to being paid in full, we were late in shipping or hand-delivering our accounts receivable and the time to pay them was 45 to 90 days.

It's sometimes confusing when creating and generating invoices or bills for multiple orders or purchases in one go and even consumes more time for generating their tax report. I would like to also integrate multiple payment options with this software, with provides quick and accurate services. Must include all the payment options.

Freshbooks is constantly adding new features and their team is extremely responsive if I have any questions or if any of my freelancers need anything.
There's very little I don't like about Freshbooks! One feature that makes sense but that can be annoying is that only my freelancers can close out their invoices with me but often times after I pay, they forget to do. Because of that, it will continue to show up as unpaid.
With Freshbooks, I'm solving time tracking, accounting, invoicing, and contracts. It's a LOT!
The fact that FreshBooks is delivered on the web is great. No additional software to put on my machine. FreshBooks is one-stop accounting software for my micro-business. FreshBooks is easy to track project expenses through their Project and tracking feature. Invoicing is very easy if you use the Project feature. The interface is laid out nicely, so you can move around quickly. Expense categories can be customized to your business-tracking needs. Very easy to export for Tax time for my accountants.
I haven't used other software, so that I will keep my comments to FreshBooks exclusively. I would love to see an interface developed that will automatically generate end-of-year tax forms for my contractors.
It is perfect for a micro-business like mine (2-5 employees), and I believe as my business grows, I can scale with this. Because of my busy schedule, I do billing once-a-month. This software helps me organize my micro-business.
EASY!! My favorite part of using FreshBooks is its ease of use. It's SO easy to create an invoice and send it to a client. It can also integrate with several other services, you may be using, to facilitate this even more.
The ONLY reason we aren't still using FreshBooks for our primary invoicing platform is because they discontinued the Tickets module. We used to use FreshBooks to create a ticket, work on that ticket, then convert that ticket to an invoice.
