A lot of applications integrate with Xero. We are not required to up grade or update the files with software updates.
The batch payment functionality via the financial details in suppliers contacts area provides for limited features, so it is difficult to pay Inland Revenue two payments on one particular day.
Pay roll details on pay slip. The customer wanted the wages pay slip to include the employee's annual salary but we could not reflect it. We then asked Xero Support and they confirmed this feature wasn't yet available.

some more email marketing that includes links to resources like templates and checklists and free training/courses (which I can create) or free videos on youtbe for small businesses and employees may be a good idea, example - "how to onboard star employees" and have a link to free templates from Xero or a third company (our company) who will pre record these videos and display on our youtube with affiliate marketing to xero subscriptions and provide value to viewers as we can touch on subjects like "have you thought about what types of policies and procedures you need for employees to maintain compliance or encourage the implimentation if the values of your business? or if you had a section where we could upload our policies and procedures that our staff have signed would be good to keep under employees potentially ir even better if you could email them and they click an acknowlegement of viewing/ signing of the contract or policy and Xero refers to the date this was signed protecting businesses and offering support in employee management - please dont hesitate to contact me if you like more info!

Very quick to learn, the software allows the majority of business accounting work to be completed without expert knowledge of debits, credits and journals. There is a great community of users who share knowledge, tips and tricks No other small-medium accounting software comes near.
Xero doesn't scale well when you need to add multiple cost centres, tracking codes work well for a while, but once you have more than 5-6 cost centres, it gets pretty clunky. While there is a great community of users, the Xero helpdesk is very slow for more complex issues.
Xero is great for helping to track grant expenditure, the tracking tool can be great for this if you have regular grant funders each year. Bank reconciliations save so much time.
Xero has a multitude of apps in its store which enables my entire sales system to run seamlessly.
Their payroll solution is clunky and. It user friendly. You are unable to put a monthly salary and instead has 178 hours at £5.876658 which is below National minimum wage but the employees are not being paid National minimum wage.
Xero streamlines the accounting function of a business. Direct bank feeds enable east bank reconciliations and the recurring invoices mean I don't need to spend time invoicing each month.
