We moved from on-premise Sage which was buggy and cumbersome. Deploying was a breeze, syncing to our bank accounts and rolling out in the US and Singapore.
The reports were pretty basic at first, but Xero have addressed this.

Xero can be use for accounting and finance and can be useful in fetching the financial reports and provide an appropriate data and statements like Profit and Loss.
Xero lacks automatic recurring payments, so the payment can be set up manually within stripe or some other payment gateway. If you do set payments to recurring, it will not mark your invoices paid until you reconcile the transaction.
Xero is benefiting in the way to provide the various accounting statements and balance sheet for a company to identify the profit and loss of the company. Xero can be also used for the statement of accounts for the particular customers and vendors by showing purchases and sales accounting.
Best thing about Xero is Cloud bookkeeping & accounting. It is simple design which is really easy to learn.
They existed their business in India which is disadvantage for me to use it.
It give you all in one online bookkeeping service, everything is cloud based. You don't even need to upload bank statement. It saves me a lot of time to do manually, it has everything what a business required for their finance department.
I like to work with xero cloud software. We can do internal accounting and extranal accounting also. As a tax agent I save my to use this software. In the market so many accounting softwares avilable but my vote is for Xero Software.
reports are taking more time - its not user friendly . The current reports are good hopefully it will save my time. Payroll is good but employee payment option is not there.
Reports issues are solving now and ongoing development. So I can see day to day development in xero software. Payroll - employee payments and IRD payment will be done by xero, it will be very good.

Sometimes hard to find where certain things/activities are located - but once you find them, you remember. Errors at 'reconciliation with bank' was not as helpful as it could have been .... needed to use accountant to identify one issue that prevent reconciliation
Reports are good. Nice layouts - easy to understand.
Xero has a very user-friendly interface, robust features, and cloud-based accessibility. It works very well within our business.
If i make a mistake entering in an expense and save it, it can be a pain to get it amended and re-submitted. Ulitimatley in our company (it maybe solely our company) accounts wont accept a claim in full if one entry has an error.

It is not integrated with email ids. Integration with emails would faciliate auto pick up of invoices that are sent to emails and auto reconciled hence reducing the need to send invoices separately to the accountants
