Unlike moat alternatives, Xero has a mobile application. It help me eradicate financial errors on invoices and receipts by infusing both 2&3 way matching tools before paying vendors.
Even though I haven't used it for an extended period, it never fail to accomplish my accounting needs.
How it automates the entire accounting tasks from billing, invoicing to general ledger remains the main relish of all times.

Nothing as such feel while using Xero but not getting an exception report for tax is an issue

It's simple to use, and the integrations make our business operations efficient, reducing duplications and manual inputs and improving reporting accuracy.
Some of the business settings could be easier to navigate to. Ability to tag and notify stakeholders on tasks - it would be useful to be able to collaborate on the Xero software when it comes to chasing missing invoices and allocations.

Inventory and project management could be improved. They work but don't seem to be on the same level as the core bookkeeping and reporting features.

The ease of use, with all area. That it is cloud based and easily accessible from anywhere. The integration with hubdoc is fantastic. I have had no issues with getting support from Xero when needed and there are many facebook groups that help xero users. I use Xero on a daily basis 7 days a week and have done for the past 6years without any major issues.
The new invoicing screen it slows my work down. I know I need to get used to it, but when you are busy its hard to do. The other thing is in the contacts area and something I have asked for over several years, to enable users to clean up contacts we need to be able to report on any contacts that do not have anything attached to them like a bill/invoice/spend money/receive money -so that contacts can easily be cleaned up
One thing I wish xero would do it implement changes that users want instead of redesigning screens that already work well, being able to give user access to specific areas ONLY therefore restricting access to certain confidential areas is really important is large practices. Your invoice template area is one area that users have asked to have more clearer way of being able to personalise especially using the docx templates. Bottom line is I dont see any problems that have been solved that benefit myself.
The Reporting functions are great and easy to dig deep into transactions that make up each figure.
Support is limited to using menus, tutorials and then a real person. Helps keep the cost down though.
Users are tagged to transactions, so I can see who has done the work on the transaction. Multiple people can work on the same entity and share the workload.

sometimes when you put up a xero central case, you get a response from someone referring you to an article that doesn't address or answer the question. it would be better if they could just answer the question rather than diverting me elsewhere and not actually answer my question.
