Shopify is easy to get started for anyone with some internet experience. No hassle of security and servers unlike other self-hosted platforms.
Shopify is a little slow and can be expensive when it grows.
Launching Ecommerce stores
What I like most about Shopify is the cost, the free options for templates to use for your website, the ease of use without coding, and they have amazing customer service!
I cannot think of any downsides of using Shopify. They have payment plans that are monthly or yearly to help its customers save. I guess, they could provide training on Facebook ads that are updated.
Shopify hosts my website in a secure manner, helps me keep track of inventory, set correct margins for items, build my subscriber list, and integrates with social platforms for my live selling needs.
You can view the details of the order processed and the status of the shipment.
None so far. It works perfectly fine with the tasks I am doing as a Rep.
When customers asking to view their past orders, I can still send them a PDF to view their orders.
Shopify is a perfect platform for small and big e-commerce businesses. Its reports are amazing.
From my point of view, there is nothing to dislike about shopify.
The main benefit of Shopify is managing ease of managing inventory and orders. Its reports are amazing.
easy to use, lots of integrations, very plug and play, great UI, consistently improving to make it easier to pick pack and ship
difficult to try out new features in upgraded tiers as their support team is not flexible in that regard and you do not work with an AM
shipping label creation, order fulfillment, ecommerce
It's really easy to use and able to be customized depending on your needs.
The overall bandwidth and customer service weren't the best. With a lot of traffic, it can become slow.
Shopify makes it easy to do e-commerce at any level. Especially when you are starting up a new business.
Ease of use and ease of interface for figuring out and finding everything.
Cannot think of anything that I dislike.
Has helped us launch a new online store that is easy for multiple people to access if needed and see functions and edit etc. It is a well known service and easy to sue.
Intuitive back office, easy-to-manage inventory and orders, customizable storefront to my changing needs, and a wide selection of apps to add when needed. The result is a high-standard e-com shop with very little outside help to set it up.
Discounts can improve; Having the ability to display the discount prior to reaching the cart page will eliminate the need to pay extra on apps for common sale types. I also feel a lot of functions that are now being released only to Shopify Plus customers should be made available to the lower tier Shopify plans as well, such as multiple storefronts for different countries, wholesale storefront and more. It feels like they aren't looking to develop small business plans anymore and focusing on high-volume businesses instead. We can grow and get there with these tools!
Setting up an online store quickly without hiring a web designer and developer for the task saves money and time. The back office includes easy-to-use order management, inventory tracking, analytics, and more.
Shopify is the premier ecommerce solution for small businesses. It is easy to use, affordable and packed with excellent features.
The biggest thing I would change with Shopify is the credit card fees. They are way too steep.
We use Shopify for our business's online store. It does the job perfectly!
As a developer I really like how big the shopify dev community is, I feel like I'm able to see first hand how Shopify keeps updating and developing new features.
Downside currently is some of the B2B features compared to competitors, As shopify is fairly new to the B2B market, it seems as though it's not quite caught up but the constant new features for B2B is exciting and keeps you waiting to see what they'll do next.
Shopify helps us in many ways but what stands out to me right now is how open it is to really create whatever you want to. It almost feels like they give you the keys to come up with your own solutions that might not necessarily be solved by Shopify out of the box. I love the fast UX along with great looking UI to keep our customers engaged.
