Squarespace Reviews: 4.4/5 — Solid Choice

The customer service. If there is something I don't understand, Squarespace always endeavour to help. In the rare times I've had a problem, they have gone to great effort to fix it. They don't lose interest once you've paid.

Nothing obvious. There's little control over the mobile view, to my knowledge. But I haven't looked too much into ways around that or enquired with them about it. And the way their mobile view adapts is normally very good anyway.

The website looks a lot more stylish than my previous efforts. The lay-out is nice. The blog in particular is very easy to use.

It's really easy to use and the support team is knowledgeable and quick to respond.

I wish they offered more templates for a variety of business types.

Being able to make changes quickly.

In no particular order – stability, user interface, customer support, and mobile-friendly use of websites.

That the editing tools are not mobile accessible or available in mobile apps; that the performance of the SS interface becomes considerably compromised on complex pages; that sometimes design style edits do not implement across the website unilaterally depending on whether there was another prior theme which has not fully been erased.

I am solving the issue of making my work and processes accessible to my clients - and for my clients I am solving similar issues, with additional support for helping my clients strategize how to formulate their services in such a way to utilize the SS store in combination with their site.

Squarespace offers a great platform for designing your own website without needing complex design skills

There is nothing I dislike about squarespace.

I needed a website that was quick to build but had a lot of different functionality. I was able to build the website that I needed without any problems.

Squarespace has made managing our online presence an absolute breeze. We can quickly add/delete/update any type of content we need to and with only a couple clicks of the mouse. I can't recommend Squarespace enough. I use it for several websites and we also use it as a platform when building other customer's websites. It's really been a great experience working with such a great company.

We recently had a bit of a hiccup (ok a big hiccup) when we discovered that our "Contact Us" form email address had been flagged by Squarespace, but no one had bothered to tell us. Instead we went for MONTHS not knowing and missing out on inquiries from potential clients. It has been challenging to move forward now knowing that things went array without us even being notified. To say we were upset was an understatement.

Overall our online presence has really benefitted from using Squarespace and we recently teamed up with an SEO expert to also help us grow our visibility. We've streamlined how customers can view our portfolios and contact us.

Squarespace is a great website builder if you're looking for an elegant site that's easy to put together. They have lots of beautiful templates and it is very easy to use. They also have great customer support.

There is very little I dislike about Squarespace. The only feature I find difficult sometimes is the drag and drop. It can sometimes be difficult to place something in the exact place you want, but with a few clicks it's almost always easy/possible. The other somewhat difficult part has been getting our domain name tied to squarespace, which was only complicated because we wanted to host our squarespace site on a subdomain of our actual website. The rest of the setup process was super easy!

I have used Squarespace to build both personal and business websites. I used squarespace for my wedding website and putting it together was a breeze! It looked really beautiful and I got lots of compliments on it. We use squarespace as well for our internal branding site at my company. I love that almost anyone - from our marketing team to our HR team, can easily go on and update things without having to do extensive training.

It looks beautiful and it's easy to use. I like the pre-made templates. I also like how you can add e-commerce to the website with ease. Lastly, I like how setting up SEO is easy.

There's a learning curve on how to use it initially. For people who don't have much website design experience, it takes a little bit to learn how to use it, but once you get a hang of it, it's easy. Sometimes the templates make it hard to customize it if you don't know html.

Squarespace is very easy to use and the layouts look great. Very modern and professional. I have looked at other website building companies, and none of them look as professional to me as Squarespace does. They also have great customer service, offer a 7-day free trial, and you can usually find discounts for your subscrption.

Might not be super user friendly for someone not very experienced with computers. Sometimes I have trouble uploading pictures and have to upload them multiple times. And, unfortunately, I'm a Safari user, and Squarespace has had a bug in Safari for a long time, which they haven't been able to fix yet. It just randomly crashes from time to time. To avoid this being a problem for me, I save my updated often so that I don't lose them.

Allows me to have a website for my business. Also allows clients to contact me directly through the website. This feature was incredibly easy to set up, and I get most of my business inquiries this way. It's also a great place for me to list my pricing and portfolio.

Simplicity, ease of use, cs support. Cost is very expensive.

Needs more templates, more options for footers and headers.

I enjoy the intuitive feel about the platform. Everything appears to be where it should be and works well for newcomers and industry pros alike. It definitely provides a cleaner aesthetic compared to other tools.

There's a fair amount of customization, but if you're looking to really get in-depth with customizing your site, it may not be the best fit.

Squarespace is incredibly easy to set up and use on a daily basis. Plus it is beautifully designed – both its templates and its interface. It's intuitive and you can work directly on the webpage you're editing (as opposed to a back-end dashboard, like Wordpress).

If you want to change something about the template design, it can be tricky to figure out. For instance, I wanted to use blog post excerpts with a photo and had to create a workaround to do so.

As the owner of a brand design studio, I use Squarespace not only for my own business but also for my clients' businesses. I've found that it is much faster to set up than Wordpress and much easier for my clients to use.

I love that my website is easy to update and always a clean, beautiful place to present my work and info.

Some of the shop/cart options have been a bit tricky to set up to allow customers to purchase multiple items for services.

Squarespace is extremely simple to understand, customize, and create a beautiful-looking and highly-functional websites. They have one of the best customer supports. The platform is very user-friendly for developers, designers, and people with no website-building experience alike, with simple drag-and-drop tools, features explained in simple buttons and natural languages, and a separate dev platform for those with coding skills that want more customization. The templates provided are all simple and beautiful so you can't really mess up the design even with little to no design experience. Their forum is very active and you can get crowdsourced answers to almost any questions you come across while using Squarespace. I also love that it's so easy to connect any social media accounts you have as well as analytics tools that are critical for most websites!

I've built 2 portfolio sites, 1 blog, and 2 business websites on Squarespace to date, and couldn't find anything I disliked!

I'm mainly using Squarespace for both my personal portfolio website (I'm a graphic designer) and my startup's landing page. The various templates provided by Squarespace serves practically any purposes you could need a website for, so after a couple hours of research I was able to pick out the perfect templates for each sites and have a decent-looking website up in a day (although it took much more time afterwards with the specific contents).

Squarespace does an excellent job at both beautiful design and high functionality. I am also consistently impressed by their excellent customer support.

Honestly I can't think of anything that I dislike about Squarespace. I suppose there are instances when I wish that I could include longer bits of code in the body of a page (it allows you to code in the headers and footers but I haven't figured out how to code in the body), but this is not a big deal for me.

I needed an affordable, easy-to-use, highly functional web development product, since I'm not a coder. Squarespace doesn't skimp on any aspect of its product - design, functionality, and support are all of the highest quality.

Squarespace is easy to set-up and very intuitive. We have gotten a lot of compliments on our site since switching to Squarespace. The templates are nice and clean.

Would like a little more flexibility with the templates - although my knowledge is little so that could just be me.

It's wonderful to have an inexpensive way to manage our web in-house.

I absolutely love Squarespace! Not only do we use Squarespace at work for our internal site that houses all of our forms, branding, etc. but I also use Squarespace for my personal portfolio website. It is super easy to use and takes no time at all to add pages, remove things, move things around, and more. I love it! The customer service is also top notch!

The only thing that is sometimes frustrating is when I am in the design side of the site - its a little confusing when adding new content blocks, but after time, I've figured out what I need to do.

We have all of our company forms, printables, branding, etc. on Squarespace so there is one website employees go to for everything if they need something. It is very easy to update things on the site and add new items and it's proven to be very convenient and easily accessible to our employees. I can't recommend it enough!

I love how easy Squarespace is to use. I also like the ability to expand and delete and to delete and undelete. It is super easy!

Wish there was the ability to easily change font size.

Creating a working team website with any and all information/links/docs we may need and all in one place. We use tip sheets and also put in tools for internal communication.

I love how awesome the designs look. It is really easy to make a website tailored to your company without having to be knowledgable of tech software. I couldn't be happier with the way our website turned out. We can even track our website visits and help improve our SEO through Squarespace. And the best part: it's mobile responsive! Our site looks great on computers, tablets, and phones thanks to Squarespace.

I honestly can't think of a single thing I dislike about squarespace. Perhaps that is seems to take a little longer to load than most other sites (maybe because of the large pictures on our page?)

We solved designing a crisp, clean, website that was mobile friendly. We also discovered how easy their eCommerce store was to use and to track inventory. It also helped us track our SEO and site traffic. We bought a subscription to design our website, and it ended up elevating our business ten folds.

Easy to use, fast to edit, intuitive, slick.

They make their product to the quality Apple make their computers. They price their product like Apple price their computers. Expensive. But totally worth it.

Non-profit website.

This website is so clean and easy to use. It is really hard to make an ugly website on Squarespace. It gives you plenty of ways to customize if you want to insert HTML or CSS code, but also makes it easy to build pages with their blocks. If you do run into issues, the forums and live chat help feature is hard to beat.

There aren't many things to dislike, but there are a couple places that get bulky in Squarespace. Sometimes the themes limit you a little too much. Certain features, i.e. fonts, headers, etc. aren't able to be customized easily.

We are trying to solve the problem of not being a full-service marketing agency, but still having a well built, informative and aesthetically pleasing web site. We realized Squarespace requires less work and maintenance than other platforms we've used in the past.

I love squarespace. It's very easy to use. The templates are ready to go! Very suitable for beginners. Very easy to connect social accounts, newsletters, etc. But yes, my favorite are the templates for sure. They look very professional. The next best thing is the interface. Very easy to use as well.

However, it does get buggy at times and advanced settings can be a little confusing. Sometimes the site just doesn't work too well or logs out. Also is it kinda expensive for just 20 pages for $8. Their competitors let you create unlimited pages for that price. Also the e-commerce is expensive. At $26 and $70 a month you might as well just use shopify. Also it has low slow loading pages.

The designs are great, their blog capabilites are second to WordPress. and their mobile look great. Very easy to use. I recommend to everyone, they are a bit pricier than others, but their designs can't be beat. I really like the user interface of Squarespace too.

I've loved my experience with Squarespace. I came into it with minimal coding skills and had my site up and running within a week. Using Squarespace's help docs -- as well as CSS submitted by other users -- I've been able to customize my site in a manageable way. I'm a member of a few Facebook groups for small-business owners, and users of other website platforms are often asking troubleshooting questions. But I never see other Squarespace users asking for help. The truth is Squarespace has made it so easy to advertise a business online that even without custom coding skills, you can have a unique, tailored site.

I can't think of anything offhand. I'm satisfied with all features.

Squarespace is perfect for beginners or non-expert website designers. They have several templates which are all very modern, clean, and minimalist. I love that it is WYSIWYG, as opposed to Wordpress. It is very easy to learn and each site I have built with it has received many compliments!

It would be really cool if Squarespace started offering plugins like Wordpress does!

When creating a simple, clean, modern website for a client, I choose Squarespace as the platform 95% of the time. If the client has their content ready, I can transform it into a website in 2-5 hours... whereas Wordpress can take me up to 40 hours.

The ease of the templates, font choices and ability to make every website unique.

You are only allowed to host one shop on your website. We own a small business that sells directly to consumers and also wholesale. Ideally we could have the two shops running through our site instead of having to create a separate shop.

Having an online presence, a unique space - we sell on Amazon and Etsy but when you send people to those pages there are hundreds of other options for them to choose from and you don't control the user experience.

The simplicity of the whole experience of using Squarespace. From the set up of the domain purchasing, to the landing page, designing the whole website through simple drag and drop features, to the question forums that answer any questions I have.

After using it for over a year, I don't have anything from Squarespace's end that I dislike! I dislike my own non-understanding of the coding world, but that will come with time.

Time! Being a non profit, time is so important to us. So the fact that I can take the smallest amount of time making a really great looking website, it's huge! It's a game changer. I can take time helping our clients and working on other marketing projects that need my attention.

I like the clean look and appearance of Squarespace. The site allows you to use it as a blog or ecommerce site very easily. I also like the easy quick ship and Stripe options that sync along with your shop and allow you to handle everything from your order quickly and easily.

I dislike that the boxes you have to work in are somewhat limiting, but they are good overall and allow you to make choices with very little understanding of website development.

For my shop, I like that it doesn't cost me per item, but lets me choose which website package I want and I can change it from month to month easily if I have more or less items to sell.
