Easy to use and allow you to classify your tasks into projects and tags. Even the free version is super powerful and the reports are very useful.

Sometimes I forget to clock off the last task of the day but it can be adjusted on the day after. But we there was a way of alerting by the end of the day would be great.

I was requested to understand my time consumption in order to do capacity planning.

I am a very small virtual assisting business. Toggl allows me to track multiple clients and projects so that I can invoice efficiently. The reports are basic for the free account, but ample for what I need. It's very easy to use and understand.

Sometimes it's hard to go back in time as the page has to load more information too often. If I am scrolling for something, it takes longer than it should. It's a small inconvenience but that's all.

I am able to keep track of all my billable hours through Toggl. It's far easier than any other time tracking software I've tried. I spend less time recording hours and more time working and I love that!

I am a Virtual Assistant and my company uses Toggl Track whenever we are working on clients' projects for billing purposes. Toggl Track is a very easy tool to use and in the one year I have used it, they have made so much improvements. I am on the free version and I find it's very easy to track time, create projects, describe what you are working on, for collaborating with teams, and finally simple and straightforward to generate and download reports. It also allows for expansion so as your team grows you can move to the paid version. I would recommend to any business that relies on timesheets or in this era and going forward where most people are working from home.

I haven't had any issues with the software so far on the free version.

The most important is our employees' welfare and providing flexibility in these difficult times. Our team has had to adapt around working with their children, pets, and caring for others, and the time tracking just makes it easier for them to work around other tasks their life demands. I work from home and provide virtual administration services to clients. These are traditional administration duties and it is easier to bill a client based on the time used other than per project basis. Our team work from home as well, it is easier to manage everyone when they can show what they were working on in what instance.

Didn't expect multi-platform support to be relevant to me, but turns out that it is!

Honestly can't think of anything major right now

Tracking time worked & reporting & billing on multiple devices. Generating hourly logs as PDF files and presenting them to clients.

It is free. Very easy to use, with minimum distraction, unlike the other applications I tried. It automatically detects inactivity time when I forget to manually turn it off. It reminds me when I forget to turn it on.

The Autotracker reminders "don't forget to track your time" are annoying sometimes, they appear again even when I dismiss them, and they can appear even when I'm in full-screen mode using some application. But it's not a big deal.

I work as a software developer remotely, and I use it just for myself to get an idea of how much time I spend on the project. I was clueless about it before, sometimes over-working, sometimes under-working. Now I have a clear picture of my time spending.

I have used Toggl at three different companies thus far, and it is so useful for constructive time tracking. I am glad to see the UI improvements and API integrations, it is so useful and simple.

It' s very easy to log time for different projects.

Navigation between clients is a bit fiddly.

I've been using Toggle for over 2 years and it's a very important time management tool for me.

Toggle is very intuitive and easy to use. I somehow rarely forget to click on time tracking since I started using it. The reporting and auto-populating texts are the best.

The chrome extension sometimes glitches and is not that flexible as in a browser.

It is super easy to manage clients, projects, reporting, and tracking your time. Better than any other app I've tried as a freelance designer!

Reporting and the dashboard are super helpful! And quickly inputting what you are working on and which project it's tied to is amazing!

I appreciated the free simple time tracker which I set up and started using in about 30 seconds.

I am considering advanced tools as well, as I get more history with time tracking.

I immediately started noting that I was sometimes spending more time on some tasks and much less on others, which I had not guessed intuitively.

Toggl has somewhat smart recommendations based on my previous tracking, it also has an integration with Google Calendar. This removes friction for tracking.

The time adjustment UI can be difficult to use.

Make me focus on the task you are intended to do.

Focus Times better maintained and tracked.

It is very easy to track your time both by turning on a timer and by entering times manually. It provides very useful reports that can be exported. It is extremely easy to use. It allows you to track your team members. Great tool!

So far I haven't found anything I dislike and I have been using it for years.

I am able to keep track of my time spent on different projects, so that I can bill my clients hourly.

I didn't know where my time was going. By logging my time I figured out where I was spending too much time and was able to save a few hours a week.

Having a desktop 'companion' app that I can leave running in a corner or minimized to my task bar - not interfering, but readily available as I toggle between projects and clients.

Nothing so far! A colleague recommended Toggl to me, I adopted, and I've been evangalizing ever since!

Functionality available with the free version was perfect when I started consulting a couple of years ago, and suddenly had an array of clients & projects that I was constantly switching between. Having a desktop widget readily available, and being able to just click the 'play' button on a prior entry to start tracking time again for that client/project/task makes it effortless to, literally, toggle! Dashboard reporting was robust too, made it easy to tease out the hours needed for billing. (If I'd continued consulting, I would have considered upgrading to take advantage of the invoicing capability.)

I like the easy to use interface, simple, fast and reliable, and the free version.

Nothing, mostly. Maybe it could be translated to my language portuguese, because of the time fomat we use here, but it's not really an issue.

I use it to make reports to my clients about the wok i'm doing for them. And i track how much i spend i terms of hours, and convert it to money bill.

I love how I have used this product for two years and how reliable it has been.

I would like to be able to adjust the work week.

Being a work from home parent this software has allowed me to easily manage my daily duties and multiple projects while tracking billable hours.

To clarify, I'm using it just for tracking my own work, mostly for myself and not with a team. It does the job, I can sort my projects, create tags for them, continue work the next day, have handy reports. I find the interface nice and neat. However, I don't use nor need the Premium Insights reports.

Adding manually worked hours, or editing an input is a bit difficult. Perhaps the most difficult to figure is what is AM and PM, when adding worktime that has been done in both AM and PM hours. I live in a country with 24-hour clocks and it's a bit confusing.

I have a clearer view on what I have done, and the steps I have taken in a given project. i can track the time I have spent on certain tasks and decide if they need optimizing, or if I need to ask clients for more time. I think it's useful for creative work, where often the artist doesn't have a clearer picture of the work needed. Graphic designers for example are often prone to minimize the time they need for certain tasks, when in reality a lot of creative work requires way more time to complete.

I love the ability to create projects 'on the fly' as I am timing an activity. I also like to be able to see in a calendar format and the pie chart report where I have spent most of my time. It really helps me to keep on track of all the projects or initiatives I am working in and paying attention to those that may have slipped. Also, it is great to help you give real cost estimates when quoting a client.

Perhaps a reminder at the start of the day in the morning would be useful. As the tool is not connected to any of the standard tools that I use, for example, Outlook, I sometimes forget to start tracking my time.

Toggl has helped me to reduce procrastination and to stay focus on a task, it may be a psychological state that tI challenge myself to track and achieve more tasks in a day.

I love how this takes the guesswork and time-consuming backtracking out of my time-tracking. With Toggl I have detailed, accurate and honest reports of how I've spent my time, and can export this data for my invoices and project updates.

The data export isn't 100% what I need. The CSV file is OK, but I still need to process it in a custom pivottable in Excel to merge together multiple times for a single day into something that can actually be put into a detailed invoice.

As an independent contractor usually working on time-and-material projects, I need to provide detailed time-sheets for my invoicing and tracking. I used to do this by hand in Excel sheets, which works OK until you are in too deep (or yes, too stressed) to remember, and then at the end of the week or month you end up trying to reconstruct what you have been doing by looking at commit times for your contributions, emails sent, emails received, chat logs... Well, Toggl solves that for me, for about 90%. When I forgot to turn it on in the morning or after a break, it reminds me. When I forget to turn it off, it reminds me (and I can edit). It tracks my times and projects and I can export to CSV to then process into timesheets and invoices. Highly recommended to allow you to stop wasting so much time on tracking admin and just get on with the work. One word of warning: you may not like the truth it tells you about the actual time that you manage to work!

The design of the input part of the data includes calendar, which makes it easier to visualize.

Toggl allows me track how much time I spend on each of my projects.

I get frustrated that I have to select each item to add a tag. I wish I could select multiple item and tag them all at once.

I wish that TAGS could be filtered differently. Sometimes I need to sort projects that satisfy TWO tags (e.g. December tag and Meetings tag), but won't filter in that manner. If I select my projects tagged "December" and "Meetings," I get back anything with a "December" or "Meeting" tag, when in fact I need a to just look at the tags that meet BOTH tag requirements. This causes me to have to sort a lot manually.

It's the perfect tool for me. I needed a tool for recording my work as a senior software developer and Toggl was and is the perfect solution. Thank you.

My main problem was to have a report of my work hours for my Appalo.it. I'm a senior app developer for iOS and Android and with Toggl I'm able to evaluate all these workhours.

Simplicity, integration with Chrome, reminders

No cons for me. Exactly those features we need. The perfect balance between productivity tracking and trust.

We track the time spent on one or another project inside the team and collect the logs from freelancers and contractors as well. Toggle gives us a clear understanding of things and doesn't push too much on employees or contractors with control.

Useful automated visual summaries (e.g. time per category today, calendar view). Smooth Asana integration.

I use the free version because my company makes us hold our time before projects are set up. Toggl makes this so easy for me to track my projects, tag them, and report on them when it's time to transfer my time to my timecard at work. If I owned my own company I would purchase the full version.

This tracker is easy to use and does what it says on the box: helps me keep track of my time. That has been quite an eye-opener.

I have not found anything to dislike so far.
