You can create websites and blog easily and it takes very less time to do that. With predefine themes you can actually save a lot of time, and for basic website building no programming language is required. You have ready to use plugins available to use with your website. the websites are responsive in nature so it is easily accessible with both mobile and desktop.
Nothing this platform is amazing to start your web programming experience.
I am working on wordpress for last six years. We are creating websites designing blogs for organizations and for people. Also some of the portals of our own products are developed in wordpress.
It is an open source platform, which stimulates the world's developers to create new plugins. When I need to create virtual stores for my customers, use Woocomerce which is a set of functions that facilitate the creation of a store. For users without programming experience, it is possible to use plugins like the elementor, which just drag and drop, to have a customized site. For those who work with SEO, there are many plugins that facilitate this type of integration. Rank Math and Yoast SEO are the best examples. Unlike an HTML site, where you need to manually insert the integrations into the source code, Wordpress plugins make this work easier by automatically installing. The investment cost is also very low, since there are millions of free plugins or when they are paid, you can buy them with lifetime access. It is a great alternative for those who are starting.
Wordpres 5 with Gutenberg still presents some problems in creating new posts. Sometimes it crashes or slows down, which harms productivity. The option to create templates with drag and drop could be standard in wordpress, would make changes simpler and cheaper.
It is very easy to find software solutions that integrate with Wordpress, so you find the solution to any problem. I use Elementor and LiveCanva, to build my sites and thanks to Worpress, this work is very fast and the site gets lighter.
Easy to navigate, comes with great built in tools (SEO etc)
This is the only CMS I've ever used in any organisation, so not much to say. An undo button would be nice!
It makes working with freelancers handy as they have their own logins.
I like WordPress: - Is free. - Contains a large amount of documentation on the internet about its use and operation. - There are many free plugins that allow you to make the most of its benefits. - It has a friendly and intuitive graphical interface. - It is easy to configure and use. - It is multipurpose, it is used for blogs, information web pages, newspapers, forums, among others. - It inherently carries responsive design, which although you must be aware of design all the time, in general terms, responsive design is taken for granted. - It is constantly updated.
I don't like WordPress: - Security is on the part of the developer, almost 100%. WordPress guarantees you very basic security protocols. It is the responsibility of the developer of the page to promote them. - Another security detail is that its fame and considerable presence in web development make it the preferred target of attackers.
When I used it in my work, WordPress helped me generate quick solutions for the problems or details that were presented. Thanks to the extensive documentation and the number of plugins available for free, I was able to solve for the company without much loss of time.
With Wordpress you have one amazing thing, Flexibility. Many builders claim to be infinitely customizable, WordPress truly is. Having worked all sides of the system, from the initial one click install of a beginner, to the configuration of the webserver through ssh, I have found a deep respect for a system that is used by such a wide variety of people.
While being infinitely customizable, the system has one glaring flaw, The Premium Content. Many plugins and themes that would set your site above and beyond cost anywhere from $20 up. For fledgling companies with little to no budget for their site, this can be a killer. I have seen several small family run businesses fail, if they'd had the budget for a next level site, where they would have succeeded had the theme or plugin they needed was a more reasonable cost.
As a small business owner, I have found that WordPress is instrumental in the rapid deployment of a companies presence online. It can cover everything from setting appointments to support, from storefronts to client profiles, and everything in between
WordPress has been the go-to CMS for my team and I for a long time. There were plenty of alternative website builders in the market even then, but WordPress resonated with us due to its core, back-bone, value proposition of customization. Virtually everything in a WordPress website can be customized, altered or transformed in some way and there’s a huge infrastructure of plugins and extensions. You can expect to find plugins, add-ons and extensions ranging from currency changers and complex themes to e-commerce components and blogging capabilities that allow you to design the exact website you have in mind.
WordPress empowers its users with intensive personalization and freedom, but this means that there's a trade off between customizability and convenience. Unlike alternative builders (like Shopify), it can be quite difficult and confusing to get around building a highly personalized website, especially for the layman. Extensions and plugins can sometimes be difficult to integrate, and when things go wrong, technical troubleshoots can be daunting.
If you're someone who seeks a certain measure of control over your website's design and of its backend components, then WordPress can be a great CMS. Developers are able to hard code complex elements into a website’s infrastructure, and non-coders can still perform alterations via plugins that help incorporate specific modifications to templates and functions with ease.
The best thing about WordPress is that it is an open-source CMS tool having one of the largest community across the world. It is the most used Content Management Software. It is easy to use and does not require much experience. It only needs a basic idea about the structures and designs to operate it. You can easily make a blog or a complete website with this. For extending its capabilities, there are thousands of free and paid plugins available to get the expected functionality on your website. We can get several plugins for our use cases from its official website.
There is nothing to dislike about WordPress.
We have created our business website with WordPress. It is really easy to install WordPress on the server. We are using a variety of plugins to get the desired capabilities. We are using plugins for drag and drop customization, website analytics, ad publishing, subscription forms, e-commerce and CRM capabilities. Integrating all of these is really easy with WordPress.
WordPress is very easy to use and learn. It is very user friendly and well structured.
If WordPress is not setup correctly it can be slow.
Websites for small and local business. As its easy to use the owner can manage their own websites quickly and effectively.
Lots of great templates to get you started and tons of help forums and videos
Can't always get things the way I want, like putting text over words. There may be a way to do it but I haven't been able to figure it out.
It's the perfect platform for our non profit website
Free to use (open source project) and they provide regular updates. Lot of plugins and templates available (Paid and free). No need of coding. One click installation available with cpanel.
Easy to use, but not that much easy for beginners. Most of the best plugins and themes are paid.
Can be used to build and manage websites easily.
Wordpress is one of the best content management systems I had ever seen. The best part of wordpress is the user friendly UI and amazing UX. The CMS comes packed with all essentials that helps developer to build awesome websites. The most important of wordpress is that you don't need to have complete coding knowledge, an intermediate knowledge on frontend customizations is more than enough.
Can't be meant as worst, but the bad one is the unnecessary plugins and unautheticated plugins available on wordpress store. These pluguins spoil the fame of wordpress often. The management should filter those quality compromised plugins and ensure the security is the priority. Other than that wordpress is best.
With wordpress, I have solved my client need of getting their business online. Before switching to wordpress, the client was using HTML and tried presta for sometime. But after getting hands on wordpress, the client seems satisfied. All thanks to its easy customization and hassle less backend integration system.
What I like the most is that WordPress is very intuitive, easy to handle and has a very wide community to share all your experience y gets answers qhen you get stuck on some issue
In my experience, WordPress depends too much on the plugins to make a fast load of the pages.
Its easy way to mannage the content lets me create beautifull websites in a very few time. I can handle a lot of customers, giving them what they want and getting paid as fast as the product is ready, wich is in a very short time
Wordpress is a free and very powerful CMS from which anytype of website can be build without any coding.
Wordpress websites can be insecure sometimes as they have many third party plugins.
With Wordpress, we can deliver quality website projects in very short frame of time.
Wordpress.org I free and, flexible and easy to use. The installation process is simple and I have been able to install the software easily and get my website running
Wordpress.org software is good, great content management system. Most of the plugins are expensive but there are lots of free plugins also
I've been able to use wordpress.org to create an ecommerce shop. Wordpress.org software has really helped me with setting my website with ease and creating a blog for my ecommerce shop. Wordpress.org has so many plugins and I've been able to use most of them to customize my website.
Wordpress is simple to set up and has all the features of a paid, commercial CMS platform plus the ability to upgrade, select features as needed, and it is also evolving. If there is something you need, someone has probably either developed it, or is about to develop it. It also grows with you. You can customize templates and get excellent support from the templates you use. As an agency, it is everything you'll ever need to satisfy even the toughest clients. I can give clients a site they will love, that performs awesome in Google and allows them to control their own content.
There is very little I dislike but the cost of plug-ins are getting to be excessive. There is a cost for nearly every feature you add, while still less expensive than purchasing a CMS platform, these services can conflict and complicate site management.
Offering clients a better, professional website without the high cost. Launching new websites that perform better in Google and offer more features. Giving real estate agents, small companies an edge by competing with larger websites and corporations.
All the integrations and widgets that you can use
the templates that are protected by users
Create my landing pages and website
The thing that I like best about Wordpress is how easy it is to set up a backend for my users.
The thing that I dislike about Wordpress is that the code is slightly difficult to learn at first.
The problem that we are solving with Wordpress is having non-coders able to publish to the website.
