Many people think WordPress is just a simple drag-and-drop solution. It isn't. But I really like that if you have some web background, you can really do a lot by yourself or even more with a web developer. It is frequently updated and I have never had it "break" any of my sites.
I wish I had more time to really learn all of the things I can do with WordPress. I tend to go in and get what I need done, but I feel like I am just not aware of things that I could do and use to make it even better. I wouldn't mind if there were better support options -- a person you can schedule a meeting with or call.
The problem was to create an eCommerce site that could be updated easily and work fast. With all the emphasis Google places on site speed, having a quick but robust site is a must and you can do that with WordPress.
Wordpress is by far the best blogging website on the market.
While it's very easy to use, Wordpress is more difficult to design dor someone who doesn't know coding.
Being able to see the SEO results while writing is so essential
It is very straightforward to use and has so many different options in terms of plugins and themes. The theme I currently use which is called acabada is fantastic, it has help y website load so much faster which has been great for my SEO
Initially, it can be a bit difficult to begin using Wordpress.org as it has a bit of a learning curve. But this doesn't take long to overcome, and if you need help it is pretty straightforward to get the help you need.
I run an affiliate website through WordPress.org and it is the best website builder I have used, it is very straightforward and easy to use once you learn how to use it. It is much easier to use than Wix, or Godaddy in my opinion.
I like that there are different levels you can utilize for creating a website based on your level of prior experience and skill. This has been really helpful for me as I have created a website and gotten more skilled as I went along. I also like the amount of pre-made templates you can select from to customize your own colors and graphics.
There is not really anything I dislike about Word Press.
The most recent problem I solved with WordPress was creating a website for my sole proprietorship business. I went through BlueHost, and the process was spectactular. For someone who does not create websites regularly, it was very doable.
Honestly it’s how simple and easy it is to use. I use this on a daily basis and would not use anything else after it.
Down side is I would like to see better inter operation for hubspot analytics
We are using it for our main product line and the company’s sites
I love how flexible and scaleable it is.
Ease of use & cost to hire people to work on it.
I use it for my website.
WordPress allows you to install and use a robust website on any hosting service that supports it. This allows you to make sure you only pay for what you need in terms of hosting services. Endless number of themes and plugins speed your website design - or migration to a new theme. Plugins allow you to customize, optimize and manage your site to get the right traffic to your site. It also makes SEO a snap. And to top it off, plenty of documentation and walk-throughs out there.
Because there are so many options, sometimes it takes time to find the right theme or plugin. Plugins are not controlled as they are on WordPress.com, so there are more opportunities for vulnerabilities if you use the wrong one. Also, currently, there is no way to tell if your plugins conflict with one another until something goes wrong. I wish there was an easier click path to create posts. Currently in my set up, I have to click on multiple tools and WYSIWYG editors to get a post live.
Website functionality, design and optimization. With WordPress, we have opened up for ecommerce, shown higher on search results, better service our customers, and provide a better user experience for website visitors. In addition, we integrated calendar bookings and more.
WordPress is offered to the world for free and makes website content management a breeze. There are countless themes and plugins available to choose from, and the support community is top-notch. I greatly appreciate all the people who invest their time to build and maintain the community for others.
Nothing, I think it's great.............
Website content management.
Open Source, plenty of free plugins and themes. Saves me from having to code everything by hand.
Open Source and wide use means it is a ripe target for malware and other vulnerabilities,
Our whole business is focused on WordPress sites, hosting, and maintenance services. Some of the problems are their improvements don't always align with what I would like to see, constant updates can be an issue for older sites. Benefits - I mean, it is how I make a living, so that's a huge benefit. The WordPress community is huge, and locally, we have a great group of WordPress professionals who lean on each other for knowledge and experience.
The plugins are easy to use. The product it's intuitive. The product is free.
A little learning curve to get started. Not straight forward setting up a shop.
Building a website for free. Amore to drag and drop content.
Easy use for everyone, you could find out all most all kind of plugins for different use.
Could not upgrade seamlessly from China due to no mirror available for China
Simple and easy to setup, rapid development is the most important benefit.
The integrations are seamless and that WP can integrate with a wide variety of third parties.
Depending on how the website is coded, it can be hard to find the right files for updated scripts/code.
We can integrate with a wide variety of 3rd parties. Usually very easy to do.
The way in which we can select large number of templates for any kind of website, the feature of embedding html code within webaite, plugins for payment portal, free donamin name and user friendly platform, non coder can also work on it which is the best part.
Availability of more free domain should be there.
I have created basic website of blog. User friendly, easy to design website.
Wordpress is an intuitive way to share content and disseminate information across channels.
In the back end, it could get kind of confusing with the HTML but if you stick to the front end it's very simple.
I used wordpress professionally at my last two jobs, with really great results. I found the benefit of a simple platform that was easy to use and make sure that people understood what we were getting across.
We as a business sign into a lot of CMS solutions and install our widget-based technology. Wordpress has everything, the complexity required by advanced web developers and the simplicity for non web developers to use it too.
The worst thing about WordPress is the fact that some people have had bad WP experiences due to a poor build. Some WP sites are built like Teslas (the car), others like clapped out old bangers which hardly move.
Building sites and doing installations on client sites. We sign into about 20 WP sites per day, other CMS' less so, but still, enough to draw a point of comparison.
This software is completely customizable. Users can code every aspect to their preference.
If you are not skilled in coding, this would be a significant challenge for you. Hiring someone to code can be very pricey.
Wordpress is free for users and only charges for extended add ons. That is a huge benefit for small business users and bloggers.
WordPress.org offers updates that keep up with online journalism and guide you through changes in format and usage. I love how easy it is to figure out how to navigate the tools and available resources for us on WordPress.org!
I wish my website didn't have to use ".Wordpress.com" for the domain but I understand why it's necessary.
WordPress.org helps me get my voice on a platform that is easily shareable among multiple social media networks.
I like the template selection. I like the different options with widgets and things of that nature
There's nothing to dislike about wordpress.org
Trying to create a website that is easy to navigate
Price is right for sure! I can post my blog and add products all with ease and a swift touch of a button.
The only thing I can really think of is maybe to have some more templates for the newbies just starting out or for those of us that are not as creative with graphics and design work.
I can post my blog super quick, shoot it out to my clients and be done for the week all within an hour or two and also be with my kiddos at home.
super friendly for people with no experience as programmer
sometimes plugins are difficult to find and add!
several people can manage a web at the same time!
