Zoom Pros and Cons
- Comprehensive unified communications platform combining meetings, chat, phone, whiteboard, docs and AI features
- Scales to large meetings and webinars (up to 1,000 participants with Enterprise)
- Extensive integrations via Zoom App Marketplace and rich developer APIs/SDKs
- Increasing AI capabilities for summaries, notes and document automation
- Enterprise security/compliance features available (SSO, managed domains, customer-managed keys)
- Many paid tiers (Pro/Business/Enterprise) require contacting sales — pricing not transparent
- Advanced features (large meetings, webinars, PBX phone features, enterprise security) often require higher tiers or add-ons
- End-to-end encryption for Phone and some advanced security options are limited to Enterprise or add-ons
- No fully on-premises option for all components — primarily cloud-based, which may not suit fully on-prem requirements
- Complex licensing and many add-ons can complicate cost planning

I do not like zoom at all. I think Skype for Business is a much better alternative due to simplicity.
I dislike that Zoom is much more complicated and it is hard to share the screen during a presentation without the window going crazy and formatting weirdly.
Zoom is OK for business calls if there is no other technology or software that can do similar things. Otherwise I would go with something else.
good connection and video of screen share
It took me too long to figure out that I had to call in rather than let me join the meeting online. I would also like some better information on how to opt out of video chat when in the call
long distance business calls/video chats
You can record the sesisons. It is easy for new users.
The size of the recording are too large to be shared in a normal organisational email server.
We use them for webinars. Benefits include low bandth with and easy connection.
The ability to meet with all of our agents and potential customers
The video quality on recorded videos wasn't the greatest, which was the main reason we wanted to use Zoom. I wouldn't recommend using it for recording the meeting
we were able to meet with all of our agents virtually fro trainings and our BOD.
Reliable communications.and it works. Support 24/7 and global
Many niggles make webinars clunky. This review is for webinars only
It is a webinar tool like many others. Nothing outstanding for webinars.
The video quality is ok, and I like that you can have text conversations alongside.
Video is super glitchy and the sound cuts out a lot.
None anymore, but I try it to do in person sales when my clients couldn’t make it to my studio
it is very easy to use and very accomodating very useful in both the host and meeting participants.
As of now I have nothing to dislike this app
business meeting
Screen sharing, seeing all participants, opportunity to mute/unmute, chat
That I have to sign out of all my gmail accounts in order to log in with one discrete account in order to host. That Zoom will send me a link telling me that guests are waiting for the meeting, and that the link does NOT represent my host status, and so the meeting gets shut down 'because the host didn't show up. Misleading and unhelpful.
Inforomal and formal meetings.
Additional option to Skype for coaching.
I found the initial explanation box unclear.
Coaching and web-conference/web training option.
What I like best about Zoom is that you can record your meetings. This is especially useful for our interns, so teammates who can't attend meetings can review them afterword. It's also great for checking to make sure your accomplishing what was discussed at the meeting.
What I dislike most about Zoom, is that unlike Google Hangouts, you have to install it on your computer. I also don't appreciate how many emails they send me. I don't get any emails from Google Hangout.
The inability for all involved to attend a meeting at one time is a problem Zoom solves because it allows us to record the proceedings in the same place they're occurring. An alternative we use is Screen-cast-o-matic to film everything that happens on our screen.
I like that Zoom has the option to record a video call (audio/video/both) and you're able to download them. That is the only redeeming feature.
I automatically dislike any videochatting service where I have to install something. To complete a Zoom conference, you have to install their software. Which isn't ideal when your'e connecting with a ton of people new to using Zoom. Other than that, the service delivery wasn't ideal as something free - like Google Hangouts video chat.
Video conference is made a little easier with Zoom, but there are better alternatives.
Meeting and recording are good. Easy to use
They deceived me like fraud . Zoom send me a special offer with 80 % discount for the last 2 month in the year for 500 attendees . I accepted it then they got me a year subscription. I tried to cancel it the app refused and send me a message that the subscription cannot be canceled till the end of the year . I tried to contact the costmer service they were very late in reply and after many messages the closed the case without any action
E education
Nothing as we can't use it, which is really unfortunate.
Their support is absolutely terrible. Our company bought a paid plan, then immediately canceled our account because they said we violated their terms and conditions. However, they wouldn't tell us what the violation was or who did it. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact them via their support channels, etc., we did get ahold of our account manager who was able to get our account reinstated because they said we were mistakenly put on the violation list. The plan they put us back on, though, was the Free/Basic plan instead of the plan we already paid for in full. They will not respond to us any longer. Absolutely horrible support if something goes wrong. Use Google Meet instead.
None, we can't use it.
Nothing. I regret that we have started to use it
Zoom did mistake and cancel all our paid subscription. They admitted the mistake, but said that they have "processes" and we need to wait 2-3 days. They ignored fact that we are loosing money and reputation The quality sometimes is not very good. I predict that with such customer service uproach they will go down.
Before they were good solution.
Initially the option of having the hotmail schedule integrated with it
after a week is not generating the link, also the booking does not show on the "meeting" section, and there is no technical support, guides, or troubleshooting, or phone to contact, or chat, or hope, well maybe here, if someone know please hellppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
none yet
Zoom is great as a video conferencing solution. We have had few technical issues and it does the job pretty well. It is the "go-to" service for most companies including my own.
I cannot even begin to describe what a nightmare their billing department and customer service team is. I have spoken with numerous colleagues in the Tech industy that have had similar experiences so I know I'm not alone in my frustration. I am almost to the point of cancelling the service completely for my organization because I have 4 different account managers, one for general questions, one account executive, one billing manager, and one renewals manager....and none of them seem to even know each other. I consistantly have to loop their own team in on issues that someone in the org is handling, and my billing has been incorrect for 5 months now. I refuse to pay an invoice where I'm being overcharged by more than $1,000, when I have signed multiple contracts (at their request because they keep dropping the ball). NO ONE takes ownership of an issue. They say they will fix it, only to call and ask me a month later how things are going, like I never reported a problem. They always act surprised when I tell them I've already told you and 3 other people this and it is still not resolved. I constantly have to resend them previous email communications because they seem absolutely oblivious. Zoom is in desparate need of an adminsitive reorganization.
At one point it was our "go to" video conferencing system. Now it presents us with nothing but problems and we have implemented Microsoft Teams as our primary system. We have kept Zoom as a backup solution because of ease of use for the end user, but now they are creating more problems for me than they are helping.
Two things which I love about Zoom is it's supports large audiencess. This is the main advantage of zoom over other meeting application and we can stream our meeting in facebook other than this I have very bad experience with this tool.
The subsription cost and the add on charge is now very high even in starter levels and still HD quality video is not standard quality in zoom and the worst thing is I have to download the app.
The advantage of using zoom over other application is It supports large audience but other than this now there are lots of application available in market which provides better features and quality.
Connectivity for multiple users without dropping connection.
It is not easy to use in windows platform
Time efficient, remote group discussion and also useful for live events.
Nothing to share as of today. This is a means of escalation of our grievances
A simple ask of modifying the number of licenses we have with Zoom has now become an arduous task for us. Raising tickets and emails are being played ping pong without any end results. Our renewal date is well past, yet no one as gotten in touch with us for the renewal nor has anybody come back on the numerous requests raised by us to Zuhaib and Smriti. And all this for 6 months now. Words fail me, I have never spent such a difficult time trying to sort out our problem.
Video calls
It is a fairly good app for webinars. Nothing else
* The app is clunky and doesn't work well on browsers * Customer support is not up to the mark. If anything is urgent, it will have to wait till the next day
Zoom is helping us with our webinars
Has the fundamental elements I need for web events and meetings for my company.
By far the worst customer support and care I've ever experienced from a major brand. I've tried to get answers to my questions numerous times with no luck. Again and again they send emails asking for my feedback, I provide it and they never respond. This is on top of a dozen support tickets I've submitted. I plan to leave Zoom for a competitor by the end of the year.
My business is entirely based on hosting virtual workshops. Zoom offers the solution I need, but their lack of responsiveness outweighs the value of the product.
I want to recommend the best point, which is a stable connection. Do you know that Asian countries usually have unstable wi-fi connections, except Japan and... China? I had experiences when I took classes as an English learner. It was not bad. Sometimes, it wasn't nice to connect with a teacher. However, the sound could connect at that time, turning off the video. So that's why I think it is good.
When I installed this app, sometimes secret files changed place. It's kind of weird, and also, the app sent private information to China. And the app had security problems a lot before. However, it has already fixed that nowadays. I don't want to change the topic, but we had many apps such as chatting and video meeting. Like, Messenger, WeChat, LINE, Google Meet, Teams, Discord, Slack etc... It depends on your machine and environment, whether it matches you or not. Both of them have pros and cons. So if you can't use the app and other apps, you can adjust to using another.
The app has a recording function, which has solved my problem. Actually, in my case, many to talk to my client and my friends. And I promised someone, and someone asked me seldom, but I would forget sometimes. But it will resolve that problem if you wouldn't forget that recording.
Made the effort and wasted my time. Frustrating!

Nothing great comes to mind. I have loved other software a lot more.
Security is the biggest concern with Zoom.
Most meetings I am in are within a virtual or hybrid capacity.
I especially like the Hide Self View feature. It's nice to not be distracted by my own picture and concentrate on other participants.
I wish Zoom would make it easier to have a volunteer substitute conduct a recurring meeting when I'm on vacation.
Allows me to conduct meetings for the non-profit I volunteer for.
I like how easy it was to learn and how adaptable it was to our needs as a company.
Sometimes, it's hard to manage people who don't know how to operate the platform.
It allows us to communicate over wide distances without missing a beat.
With our podcast we cannot easily connectouŕ cohosts who live 500 km apart with interviewees ànywhere in the world.
Software updates sometimes changes the look of our rècorďings, which has made extra work for our editors
It provides a ubiquitous platform that our interviewees can easily access and use. And it provides us with a quality recording.
I like the fact that I can mark up documents on Zoom.
I do not trust zoom to keep my information on my exchange private.
It allows me to connect with my students at a distance. I get paid for the work I do. It saves time because I don't drive between students.
I like the feature set of the Zoom phone. I like that we can easily call team members. I like that we can take calls from both computer and mobile phone. The price point is favorable.
We have had many problems with dial-by-name directory, voicemail, lack of spam filter, and technical support. I reached out to support several times for the same problems. Communication is difficult with the support agents. For example, we could not delete voicemails. We receive over 5 spam calls a day. Each one fills our VM. We have over 100 VMs, all of which are spam, and we are not able to remove them. This has been going on for weeks.
Zoom provides a VOIP phone system that works for a remote sales team. We like the round-robin feature and easy-to-use video conferencing. Zoom has a more stable video platform compared to its competitors.
I like being able to give our participants a single link where they can log in and join the meeting
I dislike the follow: 1. The HUGE, HUMONGOUS ZOOM watermark on the livestreamed version - even when you are a paying customer 2. being unable to send an invite to a guest so they can become co-host. 3. The low 360p resolution - we can't seem to do much with 4. The lack of an API to view CHAT COMMENTS within a meeting 5. The default to fullscreen view - and there isn't an option to change it 6. Will not let you connect to a meeting if you have speakers, but no microphone
It is allowing our group to meet virtually more often, and that has helped - but all the competitors do that.
