Although I stopped using premiere almost a year ago, it has been a great application for editing 4k, 2k, and HD video. It runs smooth most of the time and it's very easy to organize footage and to cut in the timeline.
Bugs and crashes. Adobe is notorious for their software crashing, especially premiere pro.
Editing fast, easy to export, etc. Although I switched to DaVinci Resolve for editing because the workflow is a lot more streamlined and integrated, adobe premiere pro was great when I used it.
The editor has many tools and possibilities for a beginner to advanced users to jump into.
Application constantly crashes and slows down. Hardly any options to help create short and straight to the point clips, (templates, etc) may have you work a little harder for it. Constantly have to adjust preview settings to optimize for use on my computer.
Premiere Pro has allowed me to create video content for the use of our company, simple to complex videos.
There are a lot of things I love about Adobe Premiere. This software gave me my career. I am able to produce minor video edits all the way up to featured productions. It took a little bit of time to learn all about the software but now that I understand how it works I have no complaints. The most recent updates have added new workflows that help at your different stages of editing. I often use the Audio and Graphics tab after I finished my first round of editing. The imports are also very smooth. the bins and folders are placed in an easy to use workflow.
It does not yet support some file format, which include both audio and video as well. its kind of expensive to buy, in order to get the complete benefit of some templates. to enjoy it totally, you have to use it with othe complementary software like after effect.
Adobe Premiere Pro allows me to edit the videos that I shoot as part of my professional career. As an Adobe power user I enjoy staying within the ecosystem of design and creative apps and Premiere Pro has not disappointing me with it's sheer robust functionality.
Love the user interface, overall layout customization, keyboard shortcuts, dynamic link capabilities, upgrades that have been made to Lumetri Color.
The response to program bugs is generally way too long. Once an update is released that contains a myriad of bugs (both 2017 and 2018 were awful) it takes months before any incredibly common bug gets addressed with a new update. Premiere is the best there is on the market. But the customer support is not.
Generally speed, overall collaboration between team members in post-production and uniformity of project setup is all easily managed with Premiere
I use Adobe Premiere Pro to create marketing videos for our company. The program creates great videos! They have good quality, and transitions.
Requires some training to tap into all features. Not easy for beginners. I had to get help from other members on our team to learn to use the product.
Marketing videos for internal and external use. I used to use Camtasia but this is 100% more useful. This software is more flexible with editing and special effects.
What I like best is that even though we don't need Adobe Premiere Pro for full movie length videos, it's still very useful for editing short clips or adding snippets of videos and photos together. I like how this allows me to add pretty much everything to the videos that I create, such as adding audio, music, subtitles, and transitions. Overall, Adobe Premiere Pro leaves for a lot of customization for users to decide.
What I dislike is that unfinished videos can sometimes be deleted as the Adobe Premiere program crashes a lot on my Macbook. When it crashes, it doesn't save the changes I made to the video and I sometimes had to redo thing's I've already done.
A business problem that we are solving with Adobe Premiere Pro is learning how to do photography and videography ourselves so we don't need to pay for external help. By doing everything in-house, we are able to cut costs and finish projects, especially ones that require social media marketing, much faster.
It is a great way to edit and create professional looking videos. I really like how much you can edit and make things individual. You can edit the audio as well as the video and being able to do both in one application makes things much easier. It is great to edit video, aka cutting, splicing, color correction, etc. It is a great program to show you and let you edit not only video but also the audio all in one program.
At first it is scary to start using. It is also a little difficult to understand at first. I was confused at first but once you talk to someone who has used it, you will understand how to use it and be a master. Some settings are hidden and you have to look for them but if there is something that you knew how to use on a different program and you know what it is called, then you can look it up online and there will be a support channel that most likely will show you how to use it.
Creating video promotions for our products. If you need to edit videos, Premiere pro is a great way to make professional looking videos. I have realized some of the benefits of Premiere Pro are to create great promotional videos for advertising. Also I use Premiere Pro to change the file format of some of my videos already made. I will save a file from After Effects and bring it into Premiere Pro just so I can save it as a smaller .mp4 or .mov file compared to that from After Effects.
I use Premiere Pro to edit my video projects and I love the layout and editing features.
Despite the good layout and features, it causes my computer to crash many times throughout a project. Sometimes I have to render projects minute by minute to avoid crashes.
Being able to edit the video projects I need edited.
I love that Adobe Premiere Pro has just about any capability I could possibly think of.
I don't like that the program is not built to be user-friendly. I cannot transfer projects to coworkers because their skill level doesn't align with the difficulty of the program.
I'm creating more professional content than ever before, and I'm able to achieve all of the things I could not with more simple programs.
It has many precise, fine controls, and my outcome was a very professional video.
It was very difficult to learn, and I needed to take many tutorials to figure it out.
Made professional grade videos myself.
Functions seemlessly with other Adobe programs and the software is extremely effective to in terms of user interface. You can do a lot more when creating a profession video compared to other video editing software on the market.
The software is extremely expensive and unfortunately Adobe will only allow you to access the software by monthly subscription which is fustrating
Because you are able to use this software with other Adobe software multiple people using different software can work on the project together which cuts cowling the final editing time
I love the transition and editing options. Very professional and makes the outcome of any project perfect and eye pleasing.
I don’t like how chaotic and hard it was to get use to. A simpler module would be ideal but once you dive through the surface it starts making sense.
We used to use iMovie. Which was definitely not even within competition of what premiere can do. I use both after effects and premiere together and that gives us far more professional footage. It’s quite the bundle.
The library of features, effects, transitions, color correction and scope of what you can do in Premiere Pro outstrips the competition. This piece of software generates the most flushed out, professional result.
The software isn't user friendly. It's not intuitive and even an advanced video editor will find this software more difficult to get to grips with than alternatives like Avid, Final Cut Pro X or iMovie. The premium features and end result comes at a cost when it comes to being able to run the software to it's capacity. It's a real drain on your memory. I run a maxed out 2018 MacBook Pro 15", and sometimes it still locks up or goes so slow that you can't do anything else.
Editing video, creating client demo reels. It delivers the most professional results and allows for a lot of flexibility in achieving the end product that you desire.
Creating videos for products has never been so enjoyable. With this software you can do numerous effects and ad sound. I have created many different types of videos for personal and professional projects. From ads that go in movie theaters to videos created from old 8mm film.
In the beginning it is hard to get to know the program but with patience it can become easier to understand what you need and want to do.
Our business never dealt with video production but now we create facebook ads for customers and other type of creative.
It seems to run more smoothly on my machine than anything else I've used, and it's a very powerful editing suite, more powerful than I will ever need.
I can't help but compare the ease of use with simpler editing tools, and find that some features / functions are unnecessarily complex or a bit hidden, so the learning curve is steeper than necessary.
Editing simple video content in house rather than outsourcing
I love that it processes multiple formats for video seamlessly. I remember the nightmare days of final cut when we had to render or convert files prior to putting them onto the timeline.
This CC version crashes. A lot. A lot more than CS6. I wish you could synch multiple clips to audio on the same one click, instead of having to synch each individually.
Video editing - saves rendering time
I like the options to customize my view and aspects
I don't like how it lags my computer and their customer service is pretty bad.
I have streamlined my editing, I have saved time and frustration making my overall productivity better.
In our A&E firm we use a lot of video and picture content for our site walk.
It is a little difficult to learn how to use and navigate in the beginning.
We are able to open a wide variety of files for our business. During our A&E site walks this program enables us to view and edit videos from the visits.
It is very easy to use. If you do need instructions on how to do something then the help guide within the software is very useful.
There is absolutely nothing that I dislike about the product.
It's easier to edit videos created in our theater on campus.
Rather easy timeline. It's like indesign for video.
I strongly dislike the long rendering time, even though the ram preview is quick. Having to work with different video format is also difficult.
I was creating a video to show to customers. It is easy to to create professional looking videos.
