Modern UI, complex workflow scenarious, great charts
The thing I love about Celoxis is task management. You assign tasks to resources and they magically show up on their dashboards. There is no miscommunication or ambiguity as everyone knows exactly what’s on their plate. Managers can easily track their projects’ progress, request update on certain critical activities from the team members, and manage project timelines and risks all from the same interface. Reports and dashboards are highly customizable.
Using custom variables has a bit of learning curve and every time you expect a certain outcome, you can’t always get the data you need because the custom fields are tied to specific objects.
Managing multiple projects can be a nightmare, but not with Celoxis. Celoxis helps us improve our compliance and risk management, and enhance project tracking and reporting.
All in one project management tool with a lot of customizable features. It allows us to organize multiple locations global initiatives/projects, share and monitor resources, time and costs across portfolios. In addition to that it is very easy to use on a daily basis and the support is excellent
Timelog / Timesheet too detailed and complex.
Multiple locations and portfolios across countries, with one unique tool that allows to manage all the projects, resources, costs and time in a centralized way
A very wasy to use Project Management tool with enough functionality for most people's needs.
Some of the configurations are a bit klunky and hard to figure out.
Provide a simple Project Management tool for our product developers (non-technical staff).
Very customizable; features are constantly updated; very responsive customer service. Intuitive and easy-to-use.
Updates always introduce new bugs - some more frustrating than others. Learning curve has been steep for some of our users.
Resource allocation and time management, project tracking, and schedule creation have all been made easier with Celoxis.
There comes a time when you need to use the more complicated features of the software. Celoxis provides me with a lot of functionality that I can utilize. If I can't seem to get it to work after I have exhausted the on-line help and forums I submit a request. I always receive information back immediately that my request has been assigned. Usually within 3-6 hours I have an answer to my question.
I would like to see more information on how to use custom formula fields. There is a small section in the on line help but I think there could be much more. In the future please consider offering some on-line help.
I am automating the building the of our products that our Operations group manages.
Celoxis is easy to set up and roll out. As a project manager, it helps me become more efficient at managing my projects. It has a clean and functional layout and the dashboards provide great visibility into day-to-day management.
Celoxis does not offer a risk assessment matrix in the RAID log.
Being a software solutions provider in the health space, Celoxis has improved our planning predictability, and saved us time and resources. It has boosted our project collaboration immensely. It has improved overall business agility and brought about transparency in the processes.
I have gotten used to the user interface and filters over time. Tracking risk management and budget are helpful to the organization. I am gaining proficiency with coming up to speed with the custom reporting features.
I have difficulty using the time management system in celoxis. Tracking by task is forced and I resort to large buckets that aren't tied to the actual timeline. I don't think the inputs are lessening requests for information. I feel like big brother is constantly looking over my shoulder.
Labor tracking, project reporting, risk tracking. I do input my project budget. The online reporting for my team members with comments is helpful and an efficient method of approving time.
I like the intuitive feautres that allow for navigation without having to reference a KB article.
I dislike not have admin priviledges because it is annoying recieving constant emails and not being able to disable them. Like for instance while I'm Out-of-Office
Celoxis allows for time management as well as allows us to look at resources available for future projects.
I like the cloud based architecture and the anywhere any time capabilities.
We are currently moving away from the platform due to a purchase on another product that better suits our needs. Upon doing this Celoxis began to hold our data hostage. There was no bulk download to get anything out of the system. Sure you can download into XML or MS Project the individual projects one by one but no files came along with it. AND SUPPORT WAS TERRIBLE!!! They refuse to get on the phone. Absolutely refused. They answered with one word answers and wouldn't do anything to assist us in getting our data from their system. I had to call their sales and pretend I was from another company to get a live person who would only help because he thought I was going to buy something. That's how I found out you could get data out in MS project form. All in all you should run from this product if you want to A. own your data and B have and any level of customer support.
We were able to move away from SharePoint for managing projects which was great but that's where the benefits ended.
