Corel draw is a well known software for vector graphics and it is preferred choice of many designers. It is a easy to use software and someone with proper knowledge of its tools and features can create wonderful artwork and graphic design. It is also good for creating print related design files.
Coreldraw feels outdated when we compare it with Adobe Illustrator. We have shifted from Corel draw to Illustrator because many in our team doesn't preferred Corel draw for their designing needs.
With the help of Corel draw we use to create lots of branding and printing contents which helped us in promotion of our brand. It has served us very nicely over the years and it is a useful and productive software. Many of our initial branding content was created on Corel Draw.
Very powerful vectorization tool. Great page layouts, topographies, transparency control. They also have an AI-powered tool, that looks great but I haven't figured out how to use it yet. Also works with all kinda formats, that's great too.
I'm a Coreldraw power user for years and was very happy when the program came out for Mac systems, but it is still very buggy and crashes quite often, files don't show previews, the recent tab doesn't open files, Blacks are gray, and exporting in JPG docent give you the cria color from the original file, I resolved this exporting first to PDF and then exporting from Preview tho other formats and quite a few more flaws, with time I hope they will iron out these problems (hopefully) I do recommend the program for power users, but it's like 75% to 80% finished.
Branding, Ads, any sort of media. Graphic designs that need to be catchy. Occasionally for personal recreation to draw comics and stuff too. People also use this for Logo designs and stuff, but I didn't find it very useful in that regard. Creativity problem at my end probably.
Coreldraw syncs perfectly with my CNC router and makes vector images into gcode conversion easy as it directly syncs with gcode generator plugin. Further, it comes with a load packed with features for photo editing, typography, and vector arts.
One thing I dislike about CorelDraw is its user interface. The more you use it, the more you find it uncomfortable to use due to its not-so-user-friendly dashboard covered with unnecessary tabs and sidebar.
We mainly use it for our CNC router. CorelDraw serves as a single package for both; designing product image for publishing as well as generating vector path for CNC router.
CorelDraw can open and edit just about any vector art file. VERY handy! And it can Save As or Export to virtually any graphic file format you can think of! The workspace is a little less clunky than Adobe Illustrator, and seems easier for me to get around in. I REALLY like the text manipulation tools that CorelDraw provides! Easy to use and very versatile. If you create custom typography in your designs and artwork, this is the tool for you! The fill and stroke tools take a little getting used to, but once you are familiar with them, easy peasy.
A few of the tool bars are little confusing, but after a bit of familiarity that wears off.
I use CorelDraw for signage and screen printing design projects and for corporate ID design from time to time. Great for custom typography, too! A big time saver for type!
I like being able to switch documents being edited.
The icons for a the tools being used can be slightly enlarged.
The time effiencent program allows for many documents to be edited quickly.
The absolutely ridiculous and marvelously large bounds outside the canvas really gives CorelDraw the advantage over Adobe Illustrator as you can edit a vehicle livery or wrap full size.
CorelDraw does struggle with complicated fills and clipping paths. When it does work, it is cumbersome and exports enormous files, which are a bit hit-and-miss when opening up in a rip software like Rasterlink, Thrive, or another design app like illustrator.
Fantastic for simple cad work, works magically with Mimaki's Finecut plugin for cad/cam processes. However when operating in a business with more than one version, file compatibility becomes a real issue as older files don't work with newer software and vice-versa.
There are so many tools to achieve whatever you can conceive in your mind, and the exciting thing is that you don't need to know them all to create compelling designs.
It takes too long to load the application; sometimes, you'd think the application is not responding only for you to realize that it's just loading slowly.
I have created flier designs for campaign ads and several graphics designs for publicity.
I am new user of coral draw. I really like to create the logos. Tools are so easy to understand and anyone can learn the basic very quickly. Create the repeat of any pattern is very easy.
It has also SAVE AS option instead of export import.
As of now I am enjoying and learning lot of things in this software. will update later.
it is compatible to various platforms such as windows and mac 0s Linux. it is also OS independent there fore corel speed is the same no mater the type of OS you use. it uses a small capacity of machines because it relatively small making it more compatible corel draw is easy to use expetialy for beginners because of its easy directives wich help learners to learn faster. corel is easy to install and takes a short time to install also installation is offline does not require data or internet connection. corel provides numerous features which make graphic design relatively easy such as the cutout lab, live sketch tool, custom node shapes. corel provides good tutorials which are good for learners.
new versions of corel are not compatible with older windows versions. few photo editing features as compare to its rival programs Mistakes in corel are realy highlighted for the case of enlargement of a photo the little mistakes can be seen.
designing of logos editing photos creating graphics for cloth printing designing brochures creating invitation cards
I was initially hesitant to use Corel instead of Adobe products, but I quickly became used to Corel to the point where sometimes I'll create art in Illustrator but bring it into Corel to utilize some of the functions they have that Adobe doesn't- Powerclip, for example. I also like how the "type on a line" works better in Corel than in Illustrator. I also like that it's more affordable than Adobe Products
Some features available in Adobe Illustrator aren't present (for example, a functioning opacity option) and it feels more outdated in general. I would still prefer to use Adobe products for personal projects but I enjoy using it at work. Additionally there are not as many online resources for someone seeking out help online as there are for Adobe products. Also the pen tool is harder to use.
CorelDRAW is great for working on screen printing projects because of how it automatically creates color separations for you. I often use Corel and Illustrator in tandem to finish projects and now rely on both equally
I like it because it is a relatively basic and easy-to-use vector management computer application, I can meet multiple needs, such as drawing, page layout for printing and web publishing, it really is very easy to work.
What really upsets me is that sometimes I lose the proportion or color at the time of printing, I must be careful not to switch to RGB because I lose the real colors of what I am working on.
It helps me when I am in a hurry because it is a relatively basic and easy-to-use vector management software application, In addition, more than one page can be opened at a time, perhaps this advantage is little visible, but compared to its competitors, this is a powerful advantage for example when printing and publishing on the web it is super simple and I do it in record time when I have a very hurried customer, It really is very easy to work. And it is perfectly compatible with any other vectored design program
First of all CorelDraw is one of the most powerful software i have come to encounter. It has very amazing features that are rarely found in most graphic design software.it also has an amazing Carver tool that helps you remove unwanted objects from your image and appear as though they they were not there. This tool is very effective when editing images. CorelDraw has an advantage as one can import text from either Microsoft word Word or Excel and you can either wrap the text round an object or even in an image. The software can manage multi-page documents. This you can achieve by placing graphic copyrights, page numbers or any information on the master page and the software will make changes to all pages just as you have designed that from the master page, this also saves time making it easier for the user.in addition CorelDraw works with masks so you can intensively edit your pictures.
Coreldraw is a bit expensive though it is very powerful. At first for a beginner it might be a little bit tricky to use but once you get used to it it is the simplest, easiest software to use for graphic designing.
With the aid of the Carver tool from CorelDraw i have been able to edit as many pictures for our clients especially in removing objects that are to be removed and the result is very amazing because no one can realize that there was once an object there.
- It is very easy to use and is a good place to start as a beginner in design due to its vector based nature. - Designs are intuitive with this app - Perfect for quick designs and illustrations
- Does a poor job with mock-ups - Not as efficient when working with grids
I started using CorelDraw as a child and have grown with it as a graphic designer. While I can replicate any complex design done using an alternate graphic app, it takes more time as the tools in CorelDraw are quite crude.
Corel Draw has a very friendly user interface. It therefore is quite fun to use.The live sketch tool is also one of the unique and very useful tools that corel draw has. Also, as a user advanced to use the product you are likely to be wowed by the many shortcuts available. The shortcuts are very helpful in that work is done faster and in a very efficient manner. This software is also vector based and hence it will not pixilate on enlarging images making it work as good as adobe illustrator. Another good feature about coreldraw is the trial period. There is a generous 15 day trial period for software testing so as to allow the user to make a sound decision on whether to settle for the product unlike many others that give a very short period making it difficult for the user to make a sound decision. Coreldraw is available across many operating systems including mac thus it suits many users across the board.
CorelDraw lacks some advanced features that are offered in Adobe Indesign. Developers should add on more features to stay relevant.
With the dire need for graphics design,CorelDraw has come in as a life saver as the pricing is way affordable since many copies are needed for many pc's.
It has excellent functions such as editing certain parts of an image, making vectors practically from scratch, and in the same way creating designs with high quality and with excellent visual elements.
Of the only thing that I have an observation is that when you use the option of automatic vectoring to apply it in an image the program is completely stuck which is a very annoying inconvenience
The biggest benefit that corel draw has given me is that I can make many quality designs since it has many functions that, although they are simple, add effects and elements that are visually appreciable to give a greater impact on the final result
The facility that Corel offers is the versatile handling of the tool when it comes to designing and vectoring. They can be developed, catalogs, brochures, brouchure, brochures, logos, among others.
There are few things that I dislike about this tool, the photographs inside the programs are not of high quality, sometimes the program without any reason to work and if you have not saved the document it can become a big problem.
I create vector graphics, brochures, catalogs, brouchres, brochures, flyers, logos, illustrations, cartoons, among others. It is an easy-to-use tool and has all the tools in sight.
Its ease of use to do media graphics that are printable
not easily usable with graphics tablets.
it has made my work fast and easy especially working with bipmap and vector graphics and in the media publishing industry
What I like most about CorelDRAW is how user friendly the program is. After only using the program a few times, I can confidently say that I know my way around the program. When I used the program, I was mostly importing DWG files into the program and then editing the line weights, line hierarchy, and line color in order to code the cuts for a laser cutter that was programmed into the computer. This was simple and efficient and effective for what I needed the program to do. I had no issues with accuracy of choosing the correct lines and no issues with lag. Because the program was so user friendly the task of changing the lines I imported was easy and led to no frustration.
What I dislike most about CorelDRAW is that it has a limit to its usefulness. Although it works well for the small tasks, I would not purchase CorelDRAW as the main program for editing vector line work. Because it was paired to another system and was easy to use, it was useful in my case; however, I do not see a need for the program in my work unless I am using the laser cutter that it is paired to. Many Adobe products vastly outdo this program.
The business problems I am most likely to solve with CorelDRAW is the issue of having to teach new users to use the laser cutter which is paired to the CorelDRAW program. It would be easy for me to teach them and for their work to get done well because the program is so easy and straightforward.
Tools use facilities. The tools are very intuitive and the result is very professional.
Color management. The effects need to be converted to image before closing the file.
Cheap and easy-to-use tool for professional graphing results. Very fast to create vector shapes.
