The easy to use customization within the custom tabs
User access is sometimes tricky, when trying to update user access it doesn't always work correctly
Some of the problems that greenhouse is helping the company solve are getting reports for accurate information, which help us in certain aspects of the company
Reporting capabilities. Posting to different job boards
Can sometimes be too complicated. Don't use all features
How much time it takes to hire
Reliable, integrates well with many other products, and is ultimately a must have for our hiring.
Hard to say. It feels like the UI hasn't been updated in a long time. Or if it has, I haven't noticed.
All candidate scores and communication centralized throughout the hiring process.
I love the user convenience and simplicity of greenhouse. It is very straight forward to navigate and I really like the different features it can come with as well!
The only thing I might dislike is that the ticketing system to get assistance is a bit slow and convoluted. I have had a couple instances where I reached out to the support team and it took a long time or no progress was made until my team placed pressure.
We are easily and more effective in recruiting and able to keep a accurate applicant tracking process. It keeps my TA team very organized and working hard towards recruiting goals.
I love the ability to customize job offers and the different types of email templates. I like being able to introduce those approval stages for the jobs and offers to go through the appropriate channels before a job goes live or an offer goes out to a candidate. It also helps to make sure that there are no mistakes along the way with all the extra eyes. The customizable reporting function makes it 10x easier to run reports and really tailor them to exactly what it is I need and being able to set up a schedule to send those reports to specific individuals in the company is the icing on the cake.
I don't like when I create "my own," that they can't be used/seen amongst the rest of my team. I also don't like that when a candidate is in a stage longer than the days I specified, the HM or Recruiter or whoever doesn't get an email notification to move the candidate along or to make a decision.
Benefits: Being able to automate things such as moving a candidate to a specific round based on how they answer custom questions.
Collaboration with hiring managers and interview teams, small number of clicks required to move candidates forward or reject
Moving to Greenhouse from many different ATSs, there was an adoption curve to understand how a template requisition is what drives candidate workflow.
Scaling hiring from one Recruiter to a TA team of 11 in one year.
The interface is very interactive and makes it easy to navigate through the platform. We just joined with Greenhouse in March of 2020, and my entire team and I have seen the ease and understanding of the whole platform. We are able to improve our focus and metrics around TTH and TTF. The integrations they have with all the other Talent Acquisition tools are great!
It would be beneficial to edit and do more things in bulk. A lot of time is spent on editing job templates and other customizations one by one. The BI Connector is not the easiest to work with, and there are many instances where it has failed.
Shorter TTH Lower TTF Overall all of our TA metrics have improved Hiring manager collaboration and involvement.
All the features for personalizing our experience
no real time tech support, issue resolution takes days
Keeping our entire TA lifecycle organized from open req to onboarding. The biggest benefit has been structure and process focus.
Simplicity, collaboration and metrics all amazing.
None, nothing to dislike about greenhouse.
Streamlining recruitment pipeline through interview stages, and also tracking overall metrics
Greenhouse's customizable features and integration capabilities.
Greenhouse SF Integration hiccups and scorecard limitations
Automation and updating the recruiting process
The ease in scheduling for my job is the best part of GH, but this is specific to recruiting coordination. I have even had feedback from candidates that they love how easy it is to share their availability through the link.
I don't necessarily, dislike, anything, I think there could be some improvement in the organization of candidates that is more customizable for each user. The user dashboards would be perfect if they were more customizable.
As a team, we are solving efficiency while maintaining candidate experience and all of that is easily tracked in GH. I am still learning the capacity of everything that I'm capable of utilizing, but there are so many benefits with the reporting feature, our team uses these reports to track our metrics for performance purposes.
I like that Greenhouse pretty much does majority of the legwork for us and is easily integrated with other platforms.
I don't believe that I can say there is anything I actually dislike about Greenhouse - if there is something to dislike on the platform, I have not come across it yet.
Greenhouse is our primary applicant tracking system. It allows us to keep everything in one place instead of having things spread across multiple platforms.
Articles, customer service, recruiting, constantly evolving
There have been a few bugs I've come across
Working on DEI and also streamlining candidates. The stag transitions are great
the reports are extremely constructive and full of relevant information. In addition, they provide us with important data to organize next steps. I really like and apprecite.
I believe that the organization of the steps and the view of the homepage and candidate page could be better. In addition, communication and visualization of candidate stages could also be better.
I'm sorting out the organization of where candidates can stay safely and where we're able to store all their information, with the view of who is needed. I believe this is one of the biggest benefits.
Not only is Greenhouse very user-friendly and easy to navigate, but it is also designed to provide a top-notch candidate experience. It allows you to thoughtfully move through the interviewing stages with scorecard implementations, feedback reviews and interviewing toolkits. If employer brand, candidate experience, employee experience and DEI is a goal of yours, then this is the best system to use.
When pulling reports in Greenhouse, it can look very messy depending on how you set up your interviewing stages. If you want a clean report, then it is best to set up your interview stages consistently across the organization.
We used to track our hiring and data manually using an excel sheet. Everything is now integrated in Greenhouse from reporting, candidate tracking, open positions, approvals and offers. It is so easy and dependable, and when you want to look something up it only takes a few seconds.
the possibility to see an organized pipeline split into stages, and the new prospecting option that shows an approximate time to fill in the position
the duplicated candidates and name inaccuracies when uploading candidates tot he system
pipeline, forecasting, order in process, reminders for upcoming interviews and general reminders
Greenhouse gives a lot of features and tools to enable good analytical and decision making decisions
The webhook feature could be better to sync with applications such as zapier
Candidates managements
Ease of use and ability to customize a lot
Pipeline overview visual unfortunately not present; unlike some competitors GH does not have this option. Hope this will be implemented soon.
Track application progress, post jobs, generate reports, use as candidate database, automate recruitment, integration with third parties. All in all smooth out the recruitment process from a-z.
I love that I'm able to see the current openings at my company, the progress on my referrals, and I'm also able to see the historical information from interviews on the same page. It's very easy to log a referral as well!
There is nothing that I dislike so far, from the features I access on a regular basis. It's a very complete tool
- Refer easily to the open positions at my company - Keep track of my referrals
It's very up front and forward with you!
It could connect a few things better and clear
Looking for new candidates and pushing them through the process
how easy we can put all information on regarding our candidate
nothing at the moment, however something we can improve is upload pictures
hiring process optimization
The recruiting process workflow and lifecycle from opening to closing a req.
The interview scheduling feature that is built in isn't very good in comparison to something like Calendly. You can purchase 3rd party applications to add-on which are better, but it would be nice if the scheduling feature that's included was better and had more advanced features.
Overall, Greenhouse is a well thought out and well laid out ATS which works very well and is generally intuitive to use vs. the competitors. With Greenhouse, I'm able to work efficiently and also able to easily allow collaboration and visibility to the hiring managers.
Greenhouse is a very efficient and sophisticated ATS system compared to other ATS systems I have used in the past. The main platform is easy to navigate and is great for storing candidate data and resumes. Everything I need can be found on this system.
I think the reporting system could be improved with Greenhouse. Whilst it has all of the necessary requirements to do the weekly or daily reporting, it can be difficult at times to navigate which report I need or even to create more customised reports. When rejecting candidates for a certain job, it would be great if when you click on the overview of rejected candidates if you could see the stage you rejected them at, rather than clicking on each individual candidate to find out that information. This would then be a quicker and more efficient process because sometimes good candidates might have been rejected which you would like to re-engage with.
I like that you can transfer candidates easily to other jobs and have candidates in process for multiple positions at a time. The main dashboard is very easy to navigate and you can see all of your tasks in one place, for example, the number of interviews you have happening for that day, the amount of CVs you have outstanding/CVs to review for each jobs and the number of pending offers. This helps individuals to keep on track.
I like that it syncs with GoodTime to make scheduling easier
There is nothing I dislike about this product
We are making the candidate experience faster and more efficient. It makes the process less time consuming and allows us to hire faster
Greenhouse is a robust system that truly considers full-cycle recruiting and the administrative tasks necessary to source, hire, onboard, and develop talent.
I'd love to see more options for integration into a broader pool of HCM systems
We're in the process of streamlining our processes and creating efficiencies in how we work.
I love the reminder tool on this platform. It enables me to be a better recruiter and stay highly organized with my candidates. Greenhouse has been a major tool for success in my job!
I wish this product did offer more organized reporting around candidate experience and fall-through rates. This would enable us to have a better understanding of where we can improve on our processes and outreach.
I am effectively solving a large scale recruitting problem with Greenhouse. I love the benefit of greenhouse being able to integrate into other platforms such as DocuSign to get offers signed.
Greenhouse is streamlined and organized and makes it simple to keep track of many different pipelines simulateneously. It also allows for a high level of customization depending on the needs of your particular org. The platform has an attractive design.
Reporting has come a long way but there's still room for improvement. While recruiters are in the platform enough that it feels intuitive, sometimes hiring managers have difficulty finding what they need (e.g. can't locate their scorecards etc.)
We house our entire interview process in Greenhouse - of course, we use it for applicant tracking, but we also use it for building out structured interview plans/scorecards/debriefs. Greenhouse makes it easy to track nearly everything we need for a role all in one place.
I am enjoying the opportunity for collaboration within the platform. I appreciate having visibility into the scorecard process and using that as a tool to ask other interviewers to dive in to areas perhaps not addressed by the initial interviewer.
I struggled to learn the new platform as I came from using a different ATS. I greatly appreciate the office hours.
I am enjoying the follow-up option to mark reminders to check back with candidates at a better time for them. This helps us stay on track and be communicative.
The greenhouse is the most elaborate Applicant Tracking system I have used to date. Interviewing candidates is no more a hassle and it helps in engaging both parties at each touchpoint by sending relevant time-sensitive emails so that no party loses track of interview time, also sends a note in case of Interview rescheduling or cancellation. We can also choose custom communication for sending alerts and also while drafting offer letters and Job descriptions.
When I take notes after interviewing the candidates but do not submit my draft, the progress does not get auto saved and most of the times I lose on what exact feedback I had recorded for the candidate.
We use Greenhouse while interviewing candidates, we can filter the candidates as we see fit and weed out the candidates whose profiles are irrelevant by giving reasons for Resume rejection too for better visibility. It also helps us directly publish jobs on social media and recruitment websites which aids in diversity hiring by multiplying Job Listing's reach. It is also a great place for employees to send in their referrals and get rewards, this helps in sourcing the best talent.
user friendly. A lot of tools withing to make your job easier
Only downside and not even a bad one would be that it can be a big slow but understandable
I have realized that it is very organized if you keep up with your candidates
