Iconosquare Pros and Cons
- Strong analytics and reporting capabilities with detailed dashboards and history
- AI tools (caption writing, content ideation) streamline content creation
- Multiple social networks supported across plans
- Flexible user and profile scaling in higher tiers
- Dedicated Customer Success and priority support available for higher tiers
- Free plan is limited (2 profiles, 1 user, limited history, may exclude some networks)
- Pricing increases significantly as more users or profiles are required
- White-label, API and unlimited retention only available on higher tiers
- Integrations beyond Zapier are limited or not heavily documented
- No native ad campaign creation/management (only analytics for promoted posts)
Iconosquare puts a profile stepper at the top of its pricing page, and the cheapest plan ignores it completely. Set the control to 10, 15 or 25 social profiles and Launch still reads €33 a month and “5 social profiles” — it is hard-capped and does not participate. Because profiles are sold in blocks of five, needing a sixth means buying Scale’s ten-block at €119 a month. That is 3.6× the Launch price for one more profile. Everything above that line is priced consistently and honestly — a flat €10 per profile, a genuine two months free on annual billing — but the entry plan is a cul-de-sac, and nothing on the page says so.
- What it is: Social media analytics, scheduling and reporting for brands and agencies.
- Best for: Teams settled at 5 profiles, or agencies at 10+ who will use the analytics depth.
- Pricing: €33/€69/€116 a month billed yearly; €39/€83/€139 monthly. Verified August 2026.
- The honest catch: Launch cannot grow — the stepper does not apply to it.
What Is Iconosquare?
Iconosquare is a social media management platform weighted toward analytics and reporting rather than publishing alone. It covers Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube, and claims 10,000+ brands and agencies.
The publishing side is competent — scheduling, best-time-to-post suggestions, AI caption writing, content ideation — but the depth is in measurement: competitor benchmarking, hashtag and mentions tracking, promoted-post performance, custom and white-label reporting, and data retention that lengthens with the plan.
The Findstack listing carries 119 user reviews, and Iconosquare displays 4.5/5 and 4.4/5 badges on its pricing page.
There is a 14-day free trial on every paid plan, and a free-forever tier after the trial: 2 social profiles, 1 user, 10 posts per month per profile, basic analytics and limited reporting.
How Iconosquare Works
Three published plans plus a custom tier. Two things scale independently: social profiles, set by a stepper in blocks of five, and users, fixed per plan.
| Launch | Scale (Most popular) | Excel | Custom | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| From (billed yearly) | €33/mo | €69/mo | €116/mo | Contact us |
| From (billed monthly) | €39/mo | €83/mo | €139/mo | — |
| Social profiles | 5 — fixed | 5–20 | 5+ | 20 to ∞ |
| Users | 1 | 3 | 6 | 1 to ∞ |
| Posts | 100/month | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Groups | — | 1 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Data retention | 1 year | 2 years | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Support | Chat & email | Dedicated CSM | Dedicated CSM |
Scale adds the competitive layer — competitor, hashtag and mentions tracking, approval workflows, a unified inbox including DMs. Excel adds white-label reporting, unlimited competitor benchmarking and API access.

Launch does not move
We drove the stepper from 5 profiles up to 25 and read every plan at each step. Billed yearly:
| Profiles | Launch | Scale | Excel |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | €33 | €69 | €116 |
| 10 | €33 | €119 | €166 |
| 15 | €33 | €169 | €216 |
| 20 | €33 | €219 | €266 |
| 25 | €33 | €219 (capped) | €316 |
Launch is identical at every setting. At 10 profiles its card still reads “5 social profiles” — the stepper simply does not apply to it. That is a legitimate design (it is the beginner plan), but the control sits directly above all four cards with no indication that one of them ignores it.
The consequence is the sharpest number on this page. If you need six profiles, Launch is out, and because profiles come in fives your cheapest route is Scale at 10 profiles — €119 a month. Against Launch’s €33, that is an extra €86 a month, or 3.6×, for a single additional profile.
Scale also has a ceiling: €219 at 20 profiles, and 25 profiles still prices at €219, which is where the custom tier (“starting at 20 social profiles”) takes over.
The profile rate is flat, and the Excel premium is fixed
Two things here are commendably simple.
Each five-profile block costs €50 a month billed yearly — a flat €10 per profile — on both Scale and Excel, at every size. Billed monthly it is €60 per block, or €12 per profile. There is no volume discount, but there is also no cliff: the twentieth profile costs exactly what the sixth did.
The gap between Scale and Excel is a flat €47 a month billed yearly (€56 monthly) at 5, 10, 15 and 20 profiles alike. So the white-label reporting, unlimited competitor benchmarking, API access, unlimited data retention and dedicated CSM cost the same whether you run 5 profiles or 20 — which makes Excel proportionally better value the larger you get.
The annual discount is real; the savings chip is not
The toggle promises “2 months free”, which would be 16.67%. Checked against the real monthly rates:
| Plan (at 5 profiles) | Monthly ×12 | Yearly | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | €468 | €396 | 15.38% |
| Scale | €996 | €828 | 16.87% |
| Excel | €1,668 | €1,392 | 16.55% |
Scale and Excel deliver the promised two months. Launch falls slightly short at 15.38% — about 1.85 months rather than 2, a €6-a-year shortfall. Trivial in cash, but it is the plan the badge sits closest to.
More interesting is what happens as you add profiles. The “Save €X /year” chip on each card never updates. It reads €72, €168 and €276 at five profiles — and still reads exactly the same at ten, fifteen and twenty, even though the real saving grows with the price:
| Scale at… | Chip says | Actual saving |
|---|---|---|
| 5 profiles | €168 | €168 ✓ |
| 10 profiles | €168 | €288 |
| 20 profiles | €168 | €528 |
At twenty profiles on Excel the chip claims €276 while the real annual saving is €636 — understated by €360. The percentage holds steady around 16.7% throughout, so the discount itself is honest; it is only the euro figure on the badge that is stale. This error runs in your favour, which is worth saying plainly, but it does mean the chip is useless for budgeting above five profiles.
What actually decides your cost
- How many social profiles you need, in blocks of five at €10 each per month.
- Whether you need more than five, which rules out Launch entirely.
- Whether you need more than twenty, which rules out Scale.
- How many users, fixed at 1, 3 and 6 — not adjustable.
- Whether you need white-label reporting or API access, a flat €47/month more.
- Billing cadence, worth a genuine ~16.7% on Scale and Excel.
Who Should Use Iconosquare
Iconosquare fits two shapes well. A small brand running exactly five profiles with one person on them gets a lot for €33 a month — full analytics, a year of data retention, AI captioning and 100 posts a month. And an agency at 10–20 profiles gets a coherent deal: €10 per profile with no cliffs, competitor and mentions tracking, approval workflows, and on Excel a flat €47 for white-label reporting that gets cheaper per client as you grow.
The analytics depth is the reason to choose it over a pure scheduler, and the 119 reviews plus the free-forever tier make it low-risk to assess.
It fits badly for a business at six to nine profiles. That is the dead zone: Launch cannot reach you, and Scale’s ten-block costs €119 a month whether you use six profiles or ten — so a six-profile business pays €19.83 per profile against the €10 marginal rate everyone else gets.
It also fits badly for teams needing more than 6 users, since user counts are fixed per plan and not adjustable — the only route past six is a custom quote.
Honest Pros and Cons
What works well:
- A flat €10 per profile per month billed yearly, with no cliffs and no penalty at scale.
- The Excel premium is a fixed €47/month at every size, so it improves with scale.
- A genuine two months free on Scale (16.87%) and Excel (16.55%).
- A free-forever tier after the trial — 2 profiles, 1 user, 10 posts a month.
- A 14-day trial on every paid plan, no demo required except on Excel.
- Eight networks covered, including Threads and YouTube.
- Dedicated CSM from Excel, with onboarding and training included.
- Data retention scales meaningfully — 1 year, 2 years, then unlimited.
- 119 Findstack user reviews, a solid independent base.
- The savings chip understates the real discount above five profiles, erring in the customer’s favour.
What to watch:
- Launch is hard-capped at 5 profiles and ignores the stepper entirely.
- Profile six costs 3.6× profile five (€33 → €119) because blocks are sold in fives.
- Six to nine profiles is a dead zone — you pay for ten regardless.
- Scale caps at 20 profiles; 25 still prices at €219.
- The “Save €X /year” chip never updates with profile count, understating by up to €360.
- Launch’s annual discount is 15.38%, short of the advertised two months free.
- User counts are fixed at 1, 3 and 6 — no way to add seats without a custom plan.
- Launch is limited to 100 posts a month, where Scale and Excel are unlimited.
Iconosquare Alternatives and How It Compares
- Later is the closest visual-planning competitor and generally cheaper for small brands, with weaker analytics.
- Buffer prices per channel with a usable free tier — usually cheaper in exactly the 6–9 profile band where Iconosquare is awkward.
- Hootsuite is the broad enterprise option with deeper team features, at a materially higher price.
- SocialBee targets small businesses and agencies with content-category scheduling, and bundles profiles more flexibly.
- Agorapulse and Sprout Social compete directly on analytics and reporting depth, both above Iconosquare’s price point.
The structural comparison: Iconosquare sells profiles in blocks of five, while most rivals sell them one at a time. That makes it good value when your count lands on a multiple of five and poor value when it does not. Count your profiles before comparing headline prices — at six profiles, per-channel pricing elsewhere will almost certainly win.
The Verdict
Iconosquare is a strong analytics-first social platform with pricing that is mostly clean. A flat €10 per profile with no volume cliffs, a fixed €47 Excel premium regardless of size, a real two months free on annual billing, and a free-forever tier are all better than the category norm — and the one arithmetic error on the page, a stale savings chip, understates what you actually save.
The problem is the entry plan. Launch is frozen at five social profiles and €33 a month, and the stepper sitting directly above it has no effect on it at all — set the control to 25 and Launch still says five. Because profiles sell in blocks of five, the sixth profile does not cost €10; it costs €86, moving you to Scale’s ten-block at €119 a month, 3.6× the Launch price.
So count your profiles first, and be honest about where you will be in a year. At exactly five, Launch is genuinely good value. At six to nine you are in the dead zone — paying for ten either way — and a per-channel competitor will likely be cheaper. At ten or more, Iconosquare becomes competitive again and Excel’s flat premium improves the further you scale.
Then use the free-forever tier rather than only the 14-day trial. Two profiles and ten posts a month is enough to judge whether the analytics and reporting justify the step up, and it costs nothing to keep running while you decide.
FAQ
How much does Iconosquare cost?
Billed yearly at the default five profiles: Launch €33/month, Scale €69/month, Excel €116/month. Billed monthly those are €39, €83 and €139. Adding profiles costs €50 per five-profile block yearly (€10 each) or €60 monthly (€12 each) — so Scale at 10 profiles is €119, at 15 is €169 and at 20 is €219. A custom plan starts at 20 social profiles. There is a 14-day free trial and a free-forever tier with 2 profiles.
Can the Iconosquare Launch plan handle more than 5 social profiles?
No. Launch is hard-capped at five, and the profile stepper on the pricing page has no effect on it — set the control to 10, 20 or 25 and the Launch card still reads €33 and “5 social profiles”. To get a sixth profile you must move to Scale, and since profiles are sold in blocks of five that means the ten-profile tier at €119 a month — an extra €86, or 3.6× the Launch price, for one additional profile.
Does Iconosquare’s annual billing really give 2 months free?
On two of the three plans. Scale saves 16.87% (€996 → €828) and Excel saves 16.55% (€1,668 → €1,392), both effectively two months. Launch saves 15.38% (€468 → €396), about 1.85 months — €6 a year short of the promise. Note also that the “Save €X /year” chip on each card never updates as you add profiles: it reads €168 for Scale at five profiles and still reads €168 at twenty, where the real saving is €528. The percentage is honest; the euro figure is stale.
How many users does each Iconosquare plan include?
Launch includes 1 user, Scale 3 and Excel 6, and these are fixed — unlike social profiles, there is no control to add seats. If you need more than six users the only route is the custom plan, which offers “1 to ∞ users” on a quote. Groups follow the same pattern: none on Launch, one on Scale, unlimited on Excel.
What is the difference between Iconosquare Scale and Excel?
A flat €47 a month billed yearly (€56 monthly), identical at every profile count. For that you get white-label and customised reporting, unlimited competitor benchmarking, unlimited data retention, API access, six users instead of three, unlimited groups, and a dedicated Customer Success Manager with onboarding and priority support. Because the premium is fixed rather than proportional, Excel gets relatively cheaper the more profiles you run — at 20 profiles it is a 21% uplift, against 68% at five.

I use it almost daily for reporting and scheduling.
Nothing! It's so easy to use it's hard to dislike.

I love how detailed the analytics are. It makes it so easy to find all of the information we need to keep track of how our page is performing.
This is more of a dislike of Instagram, but I initially thought we could schedule Stories through Iconosquare and that was one of the reasons we chose it. I was disappointed to find out that this was impossible, but that's not Iconosquare's fault. I would love it if this could become a feature in the future.
We need a place to go to track all of our Instagram analytics. The native platform isn't conducive to this at all, so we were looking for a platform that could provide this for us (including historical data). Iconosquare provides everything we need in spades.
It's so easy to navigate and the analytics are always on point.
That it doesn't provide Reels analytics.
It gives me information to track important data!
Iconosquare has a slick user interface and provides a meaningful amount of social media insights via their reporting/analytics functionality. They also support TikTok analytics which most other tools don't yet. I mostly use the tool for analytics but they have a very good social scheduler that is especially well suited to visual social networks like IG and Facebook. They also have a bunch of IG specific features such as hashtag lists which come in very useful.
It would be nice to see their conversations feature support Twitter but I understand real-time mentions/messages are tricky because of the price Twitter charges for it's API. Also, it would be nice to see LinkedIn support for their PDF/XLS report feature.
Being a small business owner, I rely on being able to jump into tools and get the data that I need fast. No messing around. No need to take a 3 month course to find data. Iconosquare's depth of data coupled with it's slick UI, makes this easy.
Easy to use, streamlined analytics, IG/FB/TT all in one place. It is super user friendly and I didn't have to spend a bunch of time on the platform learning how to do things.
Not a ton, the only thing I would say is some of the insights don't get super in-depth in iconosquare. Paid and organic are sometimes grouped together and we have had to figure out a way to separate them.
Iconosquare is helping us to make our social media strategy better. We actually moved from Hootsuite to them because Iconosquare gave us much better and more accurate data and was way easier to use.
Creating specific dashboards for your social media accounts is amazingly easy in Iconosquare. You can do it quickly and intuitively with just a drag-and-drop menu.
Sometimes there could be a slight difference in the numbers that Iconosquare shows on its metrics and those that you see on the platform, specifically on Facebook and Instagram.
As a consultant I can monitor various profiles for many of my clients in the same account, this is something I've been not able to do in other social media metric tools.
The usability of the platform, the insights, scheduling and approvals.
unable to schedule video, reels, carousels
workload for a small team is challenging, and iconosquare makes production easier.
The automatic posting feature. I also like the new content types that were added like reels. I also like the weekly and monthly reports.
The messaging feature is not that great and it's complicated.
Easy to post and you don't have to be available everyday to post manually.
Easy access to reporting and quick downloads of reports.

the random comment picker! i like using it for all the contests we do
not being able to filter but highest engagement
we like doing a lot of giveaways so the random comment picker is sooo helpful
The Instagram platform doesn't offer the best insights at all, which is why I use Iconosquare to evaluate the performance of the 15 brands I manage on Instagram. It provides all the insights I need within specific time frames, which is something Instagram is really lacking. I also like the content scheduling tool! However, I now use Facebook's Creator Studio so I don't need that as much with Iconosquare. Overall great platform. Very easy to navigate and pull insights from! I've adopted this tool at nearly every company I've worked at.
It would be nice to be able to compare insights between multiple pages.
Iconosquare helps me pull Instagram data so that I can provide results back to the marketing team.
The visual layout makes it easy to see results
There is nothing to dislike about Iconosquare.
We can keep track of our social media analytics without effort and compare them to previous months and years - with a couple of clicks.
Iconosquare offers the ability to auto-post single image and video posts, allowing a small Arts & Culture organization to have posts go out after-hours and on weekends. The media library is a great place to store some of your best photos for easy re-use. It offers great analytics to track the success of post engagement and provides a straightforward user interface.
You cannot auto-post carousels with multiple photos. Those posts must be manually posted with a reminder sent to your phone. The media libraries are not cross-platform within the scheduler, meaning you have to upload the photo to three separate media libraries for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram scheduling.
Iconosquare offers in-depth analytics on what times of day are best to post, what hashtags are most popular, what posts have the best engagement and more. It also allows you to compare these analytics with previous periods quickly.
I have been using Iconosquare for a few years now and I can say it is one of the most convenient tools for social media management on the market. I would also like to place great emphasis on the amazing support Iconosquare has. Recently, I was faced with a problem but due to dedication, helpfulness and responsiveness, it was solved in no time.
There is nothing I would change, I am very satisfied with the service.
Social media scheduling and analytics.
You can visualize what your Instagram feed will look like prior to posting which is immensely helpful for a brand who focuses heavily on the style/design etc. of their content.
Occasionally the phone app doesn't work which can be frustrating.
Streamlining Instagram and Facebook posts. It saves us a lot of time.

Keep my customers informed about campaigns we manage through Instagram
I love how easy Iconosquare is to navigate and find exactly what you are looking for. It is easy to customize date ranges and have the most accurate, up-to-date data to send to your team.
I dislike that I pay to use the service but only need to pull data from it weekly.
We are solving the business problem of knowing which posts are working well on Instagram and which posts are not working. It has been a benefit to see the breakdown of optimal posting times and user engagement.
It's visual! You can get alot of ideas from others' posts. And you can see whats happening around the world.
Not much really. I have had a tremendous amount of fun with this platform.
I can see Iconosquare allowing me to keep track of my audience but also reaching more potential customers or at least redirecting them to my website.
They offer a wide range of Instagram data.
Pricing can be difficult for small businesses.
Understand the performance of my accounts.
Iconosquare Pro is very easy to navigate and use. It is not difficult to learn and has clear descriptions if users need some extra help. Although it has the ability to show you lots of information, you get to choose what you want to see and what order you see it in. You can customise your view and control how and when you receive notifications. My favorite feature is the followers' feature. Knowing who I am gaining and losing, when they come and go, and whether I still follow them has helped me understand both my short term and long term viewer base much more. Second to that is the breakdown of engagement by day and hour especially since my viewership is split between multiple time zones.
Any of the issues I have had with Iconosquare were eliminated long ago.
Understanding the best times to post and what hashtags are working has proved the two most valuable features to me.
The Instagram tab feature for Facebook, and the easiness of the program makes it a go for advertisi
thats its only for instagram and not other social media
getting reach metrics is so much eassier
I love that I am able to use custom timeframes to go back and complete monthly analysis even after time has passed. I also love the multiple views of analytics and auto-export options.
Iconosquare goes so DEEP into analytics and they're so obsessed with what they do that sometimes it's difficult to select what's important and what translates across multiple platforms (beyond IG for reporting purposes). Their app is also not fully functional-- only for scheduling.
Instagram performance analysis, Instagram Scheduling.
I love the time this program has saved me! I am being informed daily on how my instagram is growing and the things that are helping build the account and also negatively affected my account. I think this product has allowed me to spend less time in front of my computer and more time doing what I LOVE!
I have been using this for a few months and have not found something that I feel I dislike.
I am realizing the best times to post as well as what content gets the most reaction! WHICH IS AMAZING!
My 9-5 world runs on metrics, performance, quality, and integrity as an indicator of how well a system is... or isn't. Iconosquare gets high marks in all of those areas. Their team provides consistent and patient customer service. While I'm still working through understanding how best to use all the analytics they provide to grow several personal brands, I can honestly say from what I've seen so far they are the gold standard.
I previously disliked not knowing when training was occuring, but they recently upgraded their webinar sessions to a calendar where you can choose when to sign up. I guess 1 dislike maybe managing multiple account plans. I wish there was 1 set price for multiple accounts. However, currently I maintain those accounts at different plan levels so I'm a little torn on whether 1 set plan would work- decisions, decisions
I'm specifically looking at growing my followers, understanding their behavior through proper posting times and engagements, and honing in on what matters to them most. The benefit for me is I can manage my accounts and automate reporting to my team. An additional benefite is Iconosquare doesn't require having a FB or IG Business account to manage my analytics.
All features available on the software are great, but what I mostly like is that the team out there they keep racing their own capacities to present the best of the best.
Nothing :) it is all perfect; really there is no feature which I dislike, even at customer level .. I like the professional way of interaction
A Lot of Instagram analysis which long back was hard to discover. A Great Digital Marketing tool.
