Free privacy protection was offered to me when i bought/registered a domain, and the domain name was still very cheap.
When i had some issues with my domain forwarding and integration with a different hosting service, i contacted support via email, and they were truly eager to help and asked me to call their phone number for easy resolution. However, the one i spoke with online sees not to be a native English speaker, and i ended up wasting more than 10 minutes of international call credits and achieved nothing.
i have been offered a cheaper way of registering new domain names, whilst getting privacy protection on top at no extra cost.
It is very easy to use and has great templates for your websites. It also is very affordable.
I think that they could have more animations for your website.
I am able to get a website for my business that helps other small businesses get more leads and clients.
1&1 has great customer support to help us through technical issues. When we faced malware with some of our websites, 1&1 was surprising very knowledgeable about possible causes and solutions. Instead of search around online for solutions, we were able to receive direct answers or at least be lead in the right direction by talking to 1&1's support team. About the 1&1's service offerings, they offer generous amounts of bandwidth, server space and account features for relatively low prices. They have first-year domain registrations deals that are far below the price of many of its major competitors. Our hosting account has extensive administrative tools that allow us to effective manage our web files and domain names.
The second-year and beyond pricing for domain name registration jumps up quite a bit. Even though customer support can be helpful, using 1&1 to host your websites tends to require more technical knowledge compared to pre-built website platforms like Wix and Weebly. Customer support will probably not be able to help you through all malware infections, so you face more of a risk when creating websites in this type of hosting environment.
1&1 has been an effective platform for domain registration and management and hosting for our web pages and email accounts. We've been able to post marketing materials and submission forms that allow users to register online or direct visitors to contact us about services. We've been able to minimize our costs by creating many web pages and forms from scratch or with low-cost templates. Our monthly costs have been relatively low and we don't regularly experience performance or security problems.
The customer service and support teams at 1&1 really stand out to me. With so much malware and attack attempts on servers and hosting accounts these days, it's nice to work with a company that monitors unusual activity and sends us steps to resolve or prevent certain problems that arise. Also, I like the user interface of the control panel for domains, web hosting and email. It's very straightforward with bold headings and buttons that allow us to smoothly navigate in and out of various account features.
The pricing isn't the lowest out there. Though 1&1 does offer some super deals for new customers, the standard pricing that kicks in after the first term tends to be much higher. It's not drastically higher than average prices for similar prices, but I noticed that some other companies might throw in extra domain or hosting features for free.
1&1 has been mostly solid for hosting web pages and creating redirect links that we use for promotions from social media and email marketing campaigns. We can use 1&1 to create single pages for surveys, advertising and presentations we can quickly pull up or have a lead pull up to view quickly on the fly.
You just need to worry about your website content, updates and administrative work is on their hands.
They offer many attractive services, but they are a little bit costy.
1&1 host my website based on wordpress, take care of all the updates and manage my domain. They offer also email addresses for my business. With this, I only have to worry about managing the content on my website.
1&1 Internet is a respected company that offers many reasonably-priced services for small businesses. You can have a combination of "coded" CSS/HTML web sites, WordPress sites and managed WordPress sites, all in one account. And 1&1 offers 500 free email accounts with your domain registration. Even if you have just one website, but several domains registered, you can easily manage the extra domains on the 1&1 control panel, and point unused domains to your main website. Support staff is available by phone, and is helpful when you need assistance. It is easy to forward emails from one account to another. You can forward your 1&1 email to another 1&1 account, or to an external account, for ease of managing your messages.
The online email reader and editor could stand enhancement. I would like to see the ability to create and manage email rules, including the ability to send alerts and notifications to my smartphone app. I would like to see better integration with Mac Mail, GMail and Outlook mail applications, both Internet-based and smartphone-based (Android and iOS).
I use 1&1 for web hosting, domain hosting, email hosting, and WordPress web hosting. I like the managed WordPress hosting for my small business clients that do not have an IT department.
1&1 Website Builder Plus is a good platform to build a website. Easy to set up, Easy to set up emails and good analytics giving you a basic overview. Easy to add images and logo's etc.
It has a slightly steep learning curve, also if you start a site and then want to apply another design, you have to delete the original site and start again from scratch. I really think they need to find a way to apply templates without losing content you've uploaded.
No need for the expense of an external designer, this saved the business money.
The user dashboard is easy to use and has a nice layout.
Altering or changing parts of your hosting can be clunky and sometime your left wondering if the change took place.
Hosting two of our websites.
An easy and affordable hosting service that makes purchasing domains simple and effective.
As 1&1 became more popular, their prices went up. Not out of the ordinary but more than expected.
Hosing of a small website. We were able to quickly and efficiently setup our host and are able to manage all the features we need to.
Fast, reliable hosting with all the required services at a great price.
The backend is very slow, especially the file manager. It makes a 5-minute task take 20 minutes. There is also quite a learning curve needed to get up to speed on the platfiorm, especially if you're used to cPanel, like many web designers are.
You need a reliable website host for your or your clients' websites. IONOS solves that (like all others) but at a very favourable price level compared to other similar hosting providers, leaving more profit for the website owner.
