What do you like best about Lever?

Easy to schedule interviews. I like how I can link my calendar to it.

What do you dislike about Lever?

Everything else. It's too convoluted. The reports don't really make any sense in terms of the numbers they show

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lever makes it somewhat easy to see all the candidates in a pipeline. But it's honestly too convoluted.

"Great App!"
What do you like best about Lever?

A very easy user interface, it organizes my applicants by tiers, depending on their status and integrates very easily with my Gmail account. I am able to filter and tag very easily and it's cool that I am able to add other coworkers as a follower.

What do you dislike about Lever?

I wish others in my company used this more - definitely not the apps fault. The only thing that I found confusing in using the "create interview" section. I had an old draft that I no longer needed and it sat there for over a year, the only way to remove it was if I sent it to the past candidate, I had to mention in the invite to ignore this invite and it was sent only due to a system error. Once I sent it, it did disappear from the list.

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

faster hiring during desperate times. I was in the position to hire an entirely new customer service team this year and lever made it easy for me to only communicate with candidates who were qualified for the position.

"Get's the job done, but has a ton of issues"
What do you like best about Lever?

It's easy to book interviews and gather feedback from interviewers

What do you dislike about Lever?

there is at least one production issue each week, whether it goes down completely, there are issues with drop downs, or emails not sending or sending to the wrong individuals. It was a terrible experience duplicating lever instances as our company went through an internal split, and they completely re-did the UI without any user input and the new UI is awful and has terrible UX. and reporting is almost non-existent.

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

hiring people

"Lever is great at marketing itself but the product is not efficient. "
What do you like best about Lever?

It's clean. Mostly user friendly. The feedback option is decent.

What do you dislike about Lever?

Customer service is absolutely horrible. The reporting is not very helpful and many industry standard reports are not available.

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are a scaling company who is hiring fast. The way the interview feedback is setup has been helpful.

"Not a good ats"
What do you like best about Lever?

Its black and grey easy on the eyes so its easier to look at

What do you dislike about Lever?

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

It lacks so much functionality. No confidential reqs, cantd o multi step offer approval etc.

"Intuitive in general, except for the reporting engine...."
What do you like best about Lever?

I like that it is generally relatively easy to use, responsive, fairly intuitive. Lever won out against the competition for us because they have a great feature called Nurture Campaigns, where you can keep in touch with people in your database in a very seamless way. Quite a great feature....however...., read below....

What do you dislike about Lever?

The reporting engine....this is the most important part of an ATS system in my view, especially as a Talent Manager. The reporting engine is not intuitive at all, it is very wobbly, there is very little training provided and, even after contacting an account manager and customer support, still did not receive proper training on it, as well as I noticed they themselves struggle to understand their own reporting engine. The reporting engine gets a 0 out of 10 from me.... I expected a whole of a lot more.....

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am not solving any problem with Lever because your reporting engine is not helping me at all. It is too clunky, too chunky, not streamlined, not intuitive, lacks logic...

"Lever - solid ATS, but not for everyone."
What do you like best about Lever?

Very nice interface, very easy to use. Nurturing feature is a big plus as well. Support was very responsive, transparent and very helpful. Implementation team provided great links and guidance for future reference.

What do you dislike about Lever?

Internal resume search function does not work well at all. Resumes are parsed and search engine only searches parsed profile and does not allow for a full resume search. If a resume has a different format, search function will exclude the entire section and will not find your search criteria. Do not use Lever if you intend to do key words searches within the candidate pool already in Lever. Also, it does not work as a CRM either, that is, not everything is searchable.

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

Unfortunately, we were never able to deploy Lever to our users. Our recruiting model calls for us to perform searches in our own talent pool (those dispositioned as not a fit for now, but strong candidates for other future opportunities). Lever, as described by Lever Tech Support: "if you are looking for Lever to catalog and store the full contents of every candidate's resume so you can search your database of candidates by any word that exists in any resume, that is not how Lever works at the moment."

"Awful customer service, decent platform"
What do you like best about Lever?

The system is basic and easy to use so it requires little training. If it is working properly, it is intuitive and gets most things done (though could have better data systems and more flexibility in templating/forms/feedback).

What do you dislike about Lever?

The customer service is awful. They only use email and when they say something is fixed it rarely actually is. Systems bugs don't get addressed for weeks. They should also allow for templates/forms/feedback to be changed easier (you have to email them)

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

Better applicant tracking and some integrations with Bamboo and DocuSign that, when working, are helpful.

"There are far better ATS products out there"
What do you like best about Lever?

The reporting features are the best but that's not saying very much.

What do you dislike about Lever?

Not a fan of the UI, not user friendly, have to pay a lot more to get the best features which is difficult for smaller companies.

What problems is Lever solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tracking applicants.
