Reasonable cost, easy onboarding process, reliable VOIP phones, excellent customer support, free HIPAA fax line service for our office after feature was added.
Portal is sometimes difficult for me to navigate as far as uploading new .WAV files for Auto Attendants. Customer service options, however, are very responsive so this has not been a problem.
Reliable provider of VOIP for our medical practice. We have had no serious problems with our phone systems since switching to Nextiva a few years ago. They also added a HIPAA fax option after onboarding that has been very helpful and a great cost savings to our previous need for a POTS line and outside fax service provider.

Nextiva leaves a lot to be desired as a company and from their support teams. However, fully expecting the usual sub-par performance while calling in with a phone issue, it only took two contacts to find an agent from Nextiva who knew what to do and had the CS skills to facilitate a pleasant experience. Oksana S was able to identify the issue and provide a solution that worked and provided a path forward for future issues. So far, the best agent we've spoken to in regards to account or tech issues. The rest of our interactions have set the bar quite low, but she was a standout far and above head and shoulders.
Nextiva has poorly trained individuals who will shut down the phones for your entire business for almost an entire day when you ask to block a number from calling in due to harrassment. They'll ignore your case follow-up emails repeatedly while quietly submitting a poor excuse of an acct credit that is underwhelming and innappropriate for the severity of issues you encounter. You'll call in many times to resolve an issue while the agents don't actively listen, they just follow the prompts on their screen and take you through step-by-step instructions until they find an excuse to blame your equipment that you've been using for years. I would caution new business owners against starting their company phone systems using Nextiva.
Nextiva is currently providing a phone system for my business. It benefits us by providing a temporary means to turn a profit with which to switch to a better provider.
First, Nextiva's employees act like they actually care about customers after the contract signing. This is so refreshing. Set up was easy and painless. My advisor transferred me over to someone to help set up the phones and she was incredibly patient as we got everything working.
Perhaps a better selection of basic and premium desk phones, but that's about all I can think of!
We needed a phone service that could replace and enhance our aging PBX. We went with a competitor, but it was overly complicated with a difficult to understand backend. Nextiva's ease of installation made it turn key. We we went from a box of phones to a installed, configured phone system in about an hour.
I love that it is user friendly. With another one of my clients we use comcast for our phone system and navigating can be difficult. Nextiva makes it easy to change names on extentions and easy to add or remove users.

Being new to this type of system, I have had many questions. Every time that I have called or chatted with an agent, my questions have been answered and resolved. I have spoken with several agents, and every time have been extremely pleased with the outcome. The service is working well, but the customer service has been excellent!
Don't think that I have found anything that I dislike to this point.
We have way more control of our phone capabilities. The call flow charts allow us to not have to forward the phones daily (manually), and then change to an answering machine, or our answering service. We are still finding ways daily that we are benefitting from the system.

Long chat queues, which is understandable.
We have been using Nextiva Voice for 10+ years now. And we have recently implemented Nextiva Unity for our call center operations. This was a seamless itergration.
Chat support is great when I'm multi-tasking with a customer and cannot make a phone call.

I've used the support for other VoIP options, but none compare to the speed and usefully ness of Nextiva. The UI is very clean, and I find it to better the competitors.
Sometimes I can get lost within the Admin UI, but I can usually find what I need after some help from support. There are some things that I could control, but it might be better than some of the backend stuff is controlled by Nextiva.
Seting up accounts and general tasks and much easier with the system offered by Nextiva. I'm newer to VoIP services, but after I try to work with other brands, I never want to leave.
