I love that I have the option to chat with a live represenetive instead of a phone call because it gives me time to multitask and work on other projects while also answering their questions.
So far I love everything. The only issue we are having is setting up voicemail on two phones since they have different numbers attached to them. All the voicemails go directly to one phone even if the call rings on both phones.
When our internet is down at work we have the option of switching to the app on our cell phones so that we can still take and receive calls. That is one of the most useful features.
It has an amazing and also simplistic user interface at the same time. I like the app integrations for meetings, like I can schedule my meetings and add them to my google calendar immediately.
Sometimes we have to travel around the world, and the app isn't available in some regions. Other than that, this service is impeccable to be honest.
We own a company that offers electrical, plumbing, handyman and hvac services to clients nation-wide. We are based in Brooklyn, but we have field technicians everywhere. We need this system to call both the technicians and the clients and schedule appointments, order parts, and most importantly share files and notes in a very collaborative system.

Nextiva quickly got me back on. I mistakenly turned off my incoming calls and service team quickly diagnosed and returned to full function and capability.
I like that there is an app to integrate with your cell phone so you can make business calls on the go. I like that I was able to set up a non-nextiva office phone from my home without too much hassle. I did encounter an error while trying to set up a new user but once I contacted support they were able to walk me through not only getting the situation fixed but she actually showed me another, more preferred way, to set up my home office phone. I was thrilled I could keep my same extension in office and out of office for less confusion.
I wish I could text clients via the Nextiva app. A lot of our clients like to text but also like to abuse our private time if we give them our personal cell number. No sir - I do not want to speak to you at 9pm on a Sunday.

No matter how unconventional my management staff requests to have our phone line, Nextiva has constantly committed to helping me find a way to let this system function, unlike previous providers.
The sheer number of help articles seems like an amazing thing, and to a degree, they can be beneficial; navigating to find the right help article almost feels like navigating around an unfamiliar CRM. All the information you need is probably in there, but you may not be able to find it.
We use Nextiva with our support staff. However, we do not run it in a call center function. Instead we use the standard VoIP option and have it integrated with Call2Teams so that our users don't have to be worried about learning and using another communication platform since so many different operations offer communication platforms. At first this resulted in my support staff not getting the calls they needed due to being on the line with a support remote tech to troubleshoot large machines. In comes the remote Office in Nextiva's mobility settings which allow us to bypass the intended busy signal sent by teams to refuse a call.
Upsides are that everything is located withtin the same menu. Easy tools to manage users and lines. What is most important is the support team that Nextiva offers when you need assistance.
There is nothing that I dislike currently about Nextiva at the moment. The software/website is easy to use and navigate. Also, do not forget about the great support team Nextiva offers when you purchase their service.

Everything is in one place. I like the fact that I can get the calls in a variety of ways: desktop, app, or ringing on my device. Other competitors are lacking. Also, I like how with the new TCR requirements for texting Nextiva realizes sole proprietors using conversational texts and does not require registration. RingCentral was a long drawn out process that took weeks, all while having clients wondering why they couldn’t reach me.
It does take a long time to port a number over. I know cell phone providers can port as fast as same day, and I know the FCC requires basic ports of one number to be completed in 1 business day, but 2-4 weeks is a bit much when you’re paying for a service you can’t use in the interim.
Texting is available and fast. Service performs well. It solved most of my needs.
The simple sale process, onboarding, and setup. And an excellent monthly price with no contracts.
There are no downsides that I can see or foresee with these products or services.

Easy to update options and make changes to all of the call flows. They are very knowledgeable and eager to assist when technical support is needed. My last two employers have been Nextiva users, so I do not have another company to compare with.
During certain times of the day, technical support hold times can be long. In my experience, the online chat feature has limited functionality. When I was put in the queue for additional help, I was disconnected before it was my turn.
We are outsourcing our call center and needed to see how to get those calls routed to our new call center. We also needed a phone number that our outsourced call center could transfer calls back to our office without putting the caller back through the auto attendant.
I use nextiva for my everyday job at work. I really enjoy that I am able to click "copy" on a number anywhere on my computer, and nextiva asks if you'd like to dial out using Nextiva. Which is a life saver.
I have to say, I wish there were a way to set a specific voicemail, or simply setting business hours for these phones as they are used for our companie's level-1 support hotline.
