I have used Nightwatch both at an agency and later for an in-house marketing position. Nightwatch offers a wide array of fantastic features to help get a comprehensive view of your SEO strategy as it stands and where it needs to go. Love the different views and locations I can monitor, the visual graphs, and the competitor analyses. Adding keywords is easy and the ability to link your Google Search Console and Analytics is useful. I also find the backlink feature handy.

I'd love to be able to have more than 5 competitors at the lower price point and I do wish that it was easier to use location tracking without having to add the same keywords over and over for multiple zipcodes.

We're really able to see missed opportunities with keywords, determine high priority keywords to focus on, and look at the bigger picture of how our content strategy can be improved.

For the price Night Watch provides an excellent experience. The user interface is great as it shows all the important information metrics across various areas. It also is the most visually appealing SEO reporting software out there in my opinion. They have excellent allowances for tracking keywords and back links. The reporting options are highly customizable as well which is a must. Their customer service was also great and highly responsive. As a freelancer needed an SEO software that could handle all my SEO and reporting needs at a price that was realistic for a small business. Night Watch has been a great addition to my marketing arsenal. Succinctly the benefits have been time saving via reporting and the ability to allocate funds to other sources given the competitive pricing.

We moved to Nightwatch after using several other keyword ranking trackers. Why? The #1 thing we need from a SERP tracker is accuracy, and we've found nothing better. The ability to apply numerous filters and see multiple factors including Map Pack rankings is icing on the cake. Add in keyword suggestions, competitor tracking, and backlink tracking, and you've got one of the most powerful keyword SEO tools in the industry. We use Nightwatch on every project, from solopreneurs to large international corporations. It works, saves us time, and helps us increase profits.

Was not immediately evident how to to hook up multiple GA and GSC accounts, but support helped us solve this quickly.

Primarily: Keyword tracking for massive amounts of keywords. Use the software pick up keyword suggestions and also to double check backlink profiles from Ahrefs.

I like the automated dashboards and the quick view of my websites health. I have a lot of info on one dashboard. But the most important asset is the tagging. I tagged all my keywords and play with reports based on that. An overview is useful but a segmentation is great.

The drop-down menu is a little bit annoying as I have to change all the view if I want to see another account data. It could be nice to have a drop-down menu at the left on the page. Or better: a comparison tool!

I didn't solve business problem NightWatch is a key tool to see the evolution of the average position based on chosen keywords. I can closely monitor keywords that We whose with the clients.

I have used and tested many different rank trackers over the years, from hosted to self hosted. I always had complaints with what I was using until I discovered Nightwatch. The setup is a breeze and everything "just works". The ability to view certain metrics such as Majestic TF/CF, backlinks, and analytics all from within Nightwatch is a huge time saver for us.

Nothing so far. If I had to pick something I would like the ability to monitor more backlinks without upgrading our plan.

When it comes to picking the right tool for SEO, we invest a lot of time, effort and money into testing which can last up to a month. After testing period Nightwatch is our chosen tool for SEO tracking and analyzing and will probably stay permanently. Specially for analyzing as it offers advanced custom reports and integrates very nicely and easily with Google products (such as GA, SC). The team keeps improving it constantly and is very responsive.

Pricxing on big plans. Dont we all hate to give money, when we earn money :)

I like the fact that you get the statistics from several different great online seo-tools in one place. The most important metrics are shown in the dashboard and you can easily follow the progress.

Some metrics seem like they are not possible to track backwords more than a couple of months. I am not sure though since I am a new user and might just not have found how to do it.

A great overview of your seo, progress and performance. We can detect trends in our ranking easily.

I can create custom reports for any group of keywords i.e mobile keyword rankings, and also segment an entire site's keywords by mobile/desktop - integral in the mobile first indexing era. The dashboard also looks very cool.

I like the "discover keywords" addition to Nightwatch where it suggests keywords for you to track off the bat once you enter a URL, but in my experience this only works on a domain level, i.e it won't give you targeted suggestions per URL. So not a gripe, more like a "would be nice."

Keyword reporting takes minutes as opposed to hours. The ability to view mobile SERPs within the desktop app for any specific keyword on any date is hugely powerful and time-saving too.

I love the rank tracking capabilities of Nightwatch, but what I love most about it is the fact that the developers keep adding new features to it all the time like the backlink tracking tool, most recently.

There are times when some of the data I see in Nightwatch is a bit off. For example, the number of indexed pages it shows for website will be zero even though i know that website has many indexed pages. It only happened once though and when I asked suport they said it was caused by a problem with Google's data.

It saves our agency time when it comes to rank tracking and provides many other additional tools in one place.
