What do you like best about Remote.com?

Remote has very excellent customer service. Everytime I ask a few questions and concerns, they always provide helpful information. Very Friendly and informative! Keep it up!

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

One thing I dislike is the time waiting for the payout to reflect on my remote account. I hope we will receive a notification everytime the account have some progressive updates.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was confused on how things work and they provide the exact information I need. They provide direct information and help us understand the process of the payout.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

I have used an alternative provider for EOR and it has been a nightmare. In comparison, Remote has been really helpful through the set-up process. We are a small business so haven't got masses of EOR/contractors but things seem to be working well so far.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

Filling in some of the EOR terms for their contract was a bit odd. Also, I wanted to add a contractor in Brazil but only found out afterwards that I couldn't pay them in Brazil Real

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

They have helped me understand the billing process much better than their competitor and everything seems much more straightforward.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

The design of the platform Is nice and everything is clear, no need to be an HR specialist to use it.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

The support is only through tickets and is not real time, which can be a bit bothering when you need to deal with important matters such as payslips or taxes.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can work remotely and not be affected in my way of dealing with my company,as if I were a regular employee.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

Whenever I write Remotes support, and get a reply within 24 hours, regardless of it being weekend, night etc.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

Having an external company like Remote handling salary and compensation can be a bit anxious sometimes.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am able to work for a German company that doesnt have a legal entity in my country. Remote makes it possible for me to work at any company around the world. It really increases the companys talent pool.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

Their predefined contracts and onboarding flow is quite simple and easy to use.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

Their contract templates need to be more sophisticated than just plain test and mailmerge. For example, I should be able to set up my own contracts with my own mailmerge fields.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

They're helping me with hiring remote engineers overseas where I don't know how anything works contractually.

Clearly a very useful service for organisations. Everything was made straightforward for the end user (employee). Customer Service and Support was very quick and helpful when I needed assistance.

So far everything was right. The only potential issue is not being a platform from my actual company, which means sometimes I have to do things twice (e.g. time off)

That it makes the On-boarding process for International companies and their employees worldwide so much easier since they offer legally flawless contracts and take care of regulations in the specific country.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

The newly introduced payment method stripe to which you had to switch. Before the Bank Transfer were free of Charge and now ofc stripe is charging fees....

"Remote simplifies payments and compliance for ex-US hires"
What do you like best about Remote.com?

We're saving money using Remote! We used to pay employees extra to cover European state healthcare contributions. Remote handles all contributions/taxes, including healthcare, and it's resulted in money-saving for us. There are improvements for the employee as well, as they no longer need to register as their own entity, pay entity government contributions, etc.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

The onboarding process took several weeks, specifically Remote's KYB process which was required before we could link our bank account and pay people. I didn't know that this was a blocker until I tried linking the bank account to pay our employees for the month, unsuccessfully. When I reached out to Support, I found it was because of the KYB...it would be helpful to make the KYB a mandatory / more prominent part of the sign-up process.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Remote has made the process of paying international employees and international contractors so much easier! We used to have to manually wire payments every month, which was an administrative burden as well as costly in wire transfer fees. With Remote, payments are automatically debited from our bank account. Our contractors have given feedback that Remote's automatic invoice-generating process is easy to use and saves them the time of having to write up and email invoices. There are so many helpful resources everywhere so you know what the best practices in each country are, and how to stay compliant!

Disclaimer: I am just a regular employee, I don't run the company, and as such, this is my perception. Views are my own and don't represent my employer's There is not much I like at the moment. My onboarding manager was nice, but she disappeared with lots of questions remaining unanswered. UPDATE August 22: - I never heard back from my manager and the questions I asked. The platform is very poor, but to be honest, I didn't need to interact much anymore

Customer support seems rushed to close the tickets. - I cannot contact directly the company making the payslip to clear out important tax questions. - They don't seem to know the regulation for my country (Spain). - Everything must be done in English, which sometimes, for some topics, is a problem. - To know my pending vacation days, I have to contact them to ask - Difficult to register the hours worked (Mandatory in my country) - They registered me with the authorities earlier than they should (it's fixed by now) - No human touch UPDATE August 22: - nothing has changed, which is not a bad thing

It is relatively simple to use. The efficiency in which the Support Team assisted was great.

It is a little cumbersome and there is a lot to complete. The benefits portion (instruction) was not fully understood and seemed a bit difficult to comprehend.

Platform, website, help and support from people that work there. The interface is very user-friendly and the different workspaces are well defined. Good overview of all important topics.

At the moment and since I have been using this service and the online platform I did not face any problems and I have to say that I am satisfied. In addition, I do not have something specific in mind for improvements.
