Slow Experience editor is our main issue. Hopefully this gets fixed when we upgrade to 9.1

The sitecore platform allows us to get those products and information in front of our distributor partners and end-users faster than any other platform we have used.

The flexibility of the system and all the possibilities with the technology. As and architect its a joy when business comes to me with a problem for the web site, and I reply that Sitecore can do it. We have setup 2 difference versions of Sitecore now with lots of different sites and each time it's more to learn and great experiences with a site that has the WOW factor that business was proud of.
I would like more of a distributed system with content management. I have a lot of teams around the world and I need to provide the same scaled performance for them that the content delivery for the web site offers.
Distributed content and images via the web site. A site that loads in under 3 seconds around the world. Has the stability that even if a whole Cloud Data Center goes down my sites still stay up and fully functional.

As a new user to sitecore (content author) it is nice to have many online sources for video tutorials and web documentation for implementing projects.
Not so much a dislike, but a wishing there was more information (that I can find), maybe haven't located it yet surrounding implementing personalization in 2019.

I like the componentization aspect of Sitecore. It's interesting to me as a developer but I started out as a Web Production employee just making content updates. I think Sitecore is very user friendly - especially if devs understand how to develop for the Experience Editor!
I found the setup for upgrade to Sitecore 9.0 pretty crazy compared to the previous installations - way too many manual updates for pre-requisites etc - I'm taking the 9.0 dev course right now and finally made it through the installation process - there should be a cert just for that step!
I'm a dev - we always focus on Content Authors - componentizing pages and making things easy for them to edit in the Exp Editor
Sitecore is a very extensible platform - they either have out of the box integrations with most of the major platforms or you can easily build your own.
You have to implement carefully - very powerful platform and potentially to break things if you dont know what you are doing.

There is very little to dislike other than the initial learning curve when you first start working with the platform. However, this is overcome quite quickly.

Sitecore is the best CMS platform I've ever used. The structure, variety of templates, approval process, publishing time are all excellent. When teaching sitecore to new users, we often get feedback of ease of use and structure.
Sometimes the product can queue for a bit for non-admin users, but it has helped a lot since we cleaned out our Media Library. Sitecore also times out quicker than I'd like.
